Lions | Greg Robinson wins LT job

Tue, 29 Aug 2017 08:39:47 -0700

Detroit Lions OT Greg Robinson won the starting left tackle job Tuesday, Aug. 29.

Fantasy Tip: The former No. 2 overall pick has struggled, mightily, with penalties and blocking through his first three seasons. He's still just 25 in October and has looked the part in practice. Matthew Stafford has looked great since offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter took over midway through the 2015 season, and only a finger injury has deterred him. A leaky blindside could be an issue if Robinson continues to struggle.

It's something I want to do and just stand out to the coaches and let them be comfortable with their choice." Robinson hasn't played the guard spot since high school. Offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, however, is pleased with Robinson's progress and knows the transition won't come overnight. Robinson will focus more on his technique as a pass protector, the area of his game most in need of work, during training camp.
