Steelers | Martavis Bryant has room to grow

Fri, 29 Jan 2016 13:42:52 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant has the chance to become a better player but needs to avoid any off-field problems this offseason, according to team president Art Rooney II. Rooney said the team hopes Bryant's four-game suspension to start the season will have an impact on him.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant played well when he was on the field and finished the season with 765 yards and six touchdowns despite missing four games. Bryant should be part of one of the better passing offenses in the league next season and should be a weekly starting option for owners.

Steelers | Big Ben talks Martavis Bryant

Tue, 19 Jan 2016 15:14:50 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant needs to take the next step to become the best in the world this offseason, according to QB Ben Roethlisberger.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant has really been challenged by Roethlisberger during the postseason. The quarterback first said Bryant needs to toughen up, now he's challenging him to become the best in the world. Bryant certainly has the skill and tools to become great, but he's not even the best receiver on his team right now. Bryant is in low-end WR2 to high-end WR3 territory for this offseason's fantasy draft.

Steelers | Martavis Bryant big in loss

Sun, 17 Jan 2016 17:15:06 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant had nine catches for 154 yards and two carries for 40 yards in a 23-16 loss to the Denver Broncos in the divisional round of the playoffs Sunday, Jan. 17.

Fantasy Tip: With Antonio Brown out, Bryant shined as the go-to option in the passing game. He is developing into an explosive weapon for Pittsburgh, and he has WR2 upside heading into 2016.

Steelers | Martavis Bryant headed for big game?

Thu, 14 Jan 2016 18:53:13 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant faces the Denver Broncos in the divisional round of the playoffs Sunday, Jan. 17, and he had 10 catches for 87 yards against the Broncos in Week 15 of the regular season.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) managed to reach double-digit receptions despite Antonio Brown ($9,000, 18.0% of cap) hauling in 16 catches of his own. As long as Ben Roethlisberger ($8,700, 17.4% of cap) is able to play, Bryant should make a solid mid-priced alternative at the receiver spot at FantasyScore.

Steelers | PIT deep at WR if Antonio Brown sits

Wed, 13 Jan 2016 20:37:47 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WRs Martavis Bryant and Markus Wheaton might have to fill big shoes in the AFC Divisional Round playoff game against the Denver Broncos Sunday, Jan. 17, if WR Antonio Brown (concussion) cannot play.

Fantasy Tip: Brown did not practice Wednesday, and he has not been cleared in the league's concussion protocol. While his status is in doubt for the AFC Divisional Play it might be Bryant ($6,800, 13.6% of cap), Wheaton ($5,600, 11.2% of cap) and possibly Darrius Heyward-Bey ($3,300, 6.6% of cap) stepping up and serving as solid FantasyScore options. Of course, the health of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (shoulder) also makes a difference.

Steelers | Martavis Bryant should play

Fri, 08 Jan 2016 12:10:56 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant (neck) is listed as probable for the wild-card game against the Cincinnati Bengals Saturday, Jan. 9.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) was held to two catches for six yards over the final two regular season games but should have a big role against the Bengals because of the team's injuries at running back. Bryant could be a solid starting option for owners on FantasyScore despite his recent production.

Steelers | Martavis Bryant, Heath Miller practice

Thu, 07 Jan 2016 14:39:33 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant (neck) and TE Heath Miller (non-injury) both took part in a full practice Thursday, Jan. 7.

Fantasy Tip: This could be the week to take advantage of Bryant ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) on FantasyScore after he had just two catches for six yards in the last two weeks. The matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals isn't great, but the cost isn't bad. Miller ($3,900, 7.8% of cap), on the other hand, is a fantastic value pick. He had 20 catches for 171 yards in two games against Cincy this year.

Steelers | Martavis Bryant welcomes challenge

Wed, 06 Jan 2016 22:37:35 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant said Wednesday, Jan. 6, that he was happy QB Ben Roethlisberger challenged him. "I'm happy he issued out the challenge," Bryant said. "I accept it." Bryant added he is eager to get back on the field.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) might be highly motivated by Big Ben's comments in the Wild Card Game against the Cincinnati Bengals, making him an intriguing mid-tier FantasyScore play.

Steelers | Martavis Bryant back to full practice

Wed, 06 Jan 2016 15:34:56 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant (neck) put in a full practice Wednesday, Jan. 6.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) had just two catches for six yards in the final two weeks of the season, and he was negatively affected by an illness. That'll make many folks skeptical to use him in the wild-card game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Will Ben Roethlisberger calling out Bryant's toughness ignite him? It remains to be seen, but Cincy is no easy matchup for receivers.

Steelers | Martavis Bryant has neck ailment

Wed, 06 Jan 2016 10:00:13 -0800

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Martavis Bryant (neck) left the Week 17 game with a strained neck, but Bryant said that he doesn't think it'll keep him from playing in the wild-card game against the Cincinnati Bengals Saturday, Jan. 9. Bryant had just one catch for no yards in the win over the Cleveland Browns. He has just two catches for six yards in the last two games.

Fantasy Tip: The Bengals have a stout secondary, so passing on them won't be easy for Pittsburgh despite their excellent receivers. Bryant ($5,800, 11.6% of cap) has also been sick of late, so coming into this one he doesn't seem like the best daily option at FantasyScore.
