Browns | Isaiah Crowell wants more work

Wed, 20 Sep 2017 09:58:09 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell reportedly asked head coach Hue Jackson about the lack of carries through two games, and said Jackson told him he wants to get Crowell the ball more often.

Fantasy Tip: In Jackson's defense, Cleveland has faced the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens in the first two weeks of the season, and the Browns have been playing from behind most of the time. The Browns' next three opponents (Indianapolis Colts, Cincinnati Bengals and New York Jets) should offer less resistance and figure to put the Browns in fewer negative game-script situations, so Crowell should start rolling soon. He remains a strong fantasy RB2.

Browns | Isaiah Crowell does next to nothing

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 16:46:03 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell ran 10 times for just 37 yards in Week 2 at Baltimore while he did not have any catches on his only target.

Fantasy Tip: Crowell entered the 2017 season with high expectations from fantasy owners, but so far he has been a complete bust. He'll need to do more to hold off Duke Johnson from carving into his touches. It's early, and he has time to atone with a favorable matchup in Week 3 at Indianapolis.

Browns | Isaiah Crowell involved in run, pass game

Sun, 10 Sep 2017 13:45:40 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell rushed for 33 yards on 17 carries against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1. He also caught two passes for 33 yards during the game.

Fantasy Tip: Crowell struggled to find running room against the Steelers but will continue to receive most of the carries in the running game. He could be a low-end No. 2 running back or flex option next week because of a tough opponent.

Browns | Isaiah Crowell on the field

Wed, 23 Aug 2017 17:23:57 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell (groin) participated in practice Wednesday, Aug. 23.

Fantasy Tip: Crowell missed the second preseason game because of the injury but appears to be on track to play in the third preseason game. Crowell will be the feature back for the Browns in 2017 and should receive more carries than he did last season. He has a good chance to surpass the 1,000-yard mark and can be a No. 2 fantasy quarterback for owners.

Browns | Isaiah Crowell not expected to play

Mon, 21 Aug 2017 15:52:32 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell (groin) is not expected to play in the preseason game against the New York Giants Monday, Aug. 21.

Fantasy Tip: The Browns are probably being cautious with Crowell, so owners should see if he will play in the third preseason game. He has a good chance to rush for at least 1,000 yards this season if he stays healthy and should be considered a No. 2 running back in fantasy leagues.

Browns | Isaiah Crowell talking extension

Fri, 28 Jul 2017 14:06:58 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell said his agent is talking with the Browns about a contract extension but is not sure how far the talks are at this point.

Fantasy Tip: Crowell will continue to be the starting running back for the Browns and will see more of the carries. He rushed for 952 yards and seven touchdowns last season and appears to have a solid chance to rush for at least 1,000 yards this season since the Browns upgraded their offensive line. He should be considered a No. 2 or No. 3 running back in most fantasy leagues.

Browns | Isaiah Crowell to reach 1,300 yards?

Thu, 13 Jul 2017 19:46:56 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell is capable of a 1,300-yard season in 2017, according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, because of upgrades to the offensive line and an improved defense that should keep games closer.

Fantasy Tip: Crowell almost ran for 1,000 yards last season, and he looks set to see most of the early-down work this year. He should at least be a quality flex play, and Crowell could be a sneaky RB2.

Browns | Isaiah Crowell just entering his prime

Sat, 17 Jun 2017 18:44:30 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell has only "scratched the surface" of his potential, according to running backs coach Kirby Wilson.

Fantasy Tip: Crowell flirted with 1,000 yards last year and scored eight times, and after the Browns upgraded their offensive line in the offseason, he could improve across the board. Consider him a quality flex option with RB2 potential.

Browns | Isaiah Crowell may see more work

Wed, 31 May 2017 12:57:24 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell could receive more carries in 2017 because head coach Hue Jackson said the Browns have to run the ball more this upcoming season than they did in 2016.

Fantasy Tip: Crowell will be the starting running back this season and should see more than the 198 carries he received in 2016 as long as he can stay healthy. He rushed for 952 yards and eight touchdowns this past season and as a chance to reach the 1,000-yard mark in 2017. He should be considered a low-end No. 2 or a No. 3 running back in leagues.

Browns | Isaiah Crowell may skip voluntary OTAs

Sat, 13 May 2017 15:07:23 -0700

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell recently signed his restricted free-agent contract tender, but he was absent from the team's voluntary offseason program prior to the signing and may not return until mandatory minicamp in June.

Fantasy Tip: Crowell really doesn't need to be at voluntary OTAs given the fact he knows head coach Hue Jackson's offense already, so this protest - if it even is one - shouldn't have any effect on him for the upcoming season. Despite his fine overall numbers in 2016, Crowell was a bit inconsistent from week-to-week, so the upgrades the Browns made in the offseason - especially to their offensive line - should keep him firmly in the RB2 conversation.
