Miami Dolphins WR Brian Hartline has become a forgotten man in the team's offense after back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons. He is currently fourth on the team in catches (16) and third in receiving yards (161), and he's on pace for his worst statistical season since 2011. The Dolphins have basically stopped throwing his way; he was targeted just twice in Week 6 and was without a catch for the first time in almost two years. Tannehill has had the most snaps of any receiver on the team in every game this year, but only once was he targeted more often than WR Mike Wallace.
"Sometimes teams commit, whether they play cloud, whether they double-cover, there are multiple different coverages. We are a progression-based passing game. Sometimes it's just the way the ball rolls and the snaps are thrown, it just hasn't been (there). He hasn't been targeted quite as much, but I'm sure he is going to have his days," head coach Joe Philbin said. WR Jarvis Landry has emerged as a legitimate receiving threat, too, and he had a team-high six-catches for 75 yards and a touchdown against the Green Bay Packers last week.
Fantasy Tip: Until Hartline is utilized more often in the offense, he won't be an intriguing pick for your FantasyScore lineups. He comes with a $4,300 (8.6% of cap) salary this weekend against the Chicago Bears.

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry was the team's starting slot receiver in Week 6 in place of WR Brandon Gibson (hamstring), and he caught a team-high six passes for 75 yards and touchdown. His eight targets were the second most on the team.
Fantasy Tip: Landry made the most of his playing time, and he could remain a factor in the offense, especially while Gibson is out. His $3,000 salary (6% of cap) at FantasyScore in Week 7 is the minimum at the position, and he could be worth flier against a Chicago defense that ranks 17th against the pass.

Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins WR Marcus Thigpen (hamstring) will play in the preseason finale Thursday, Aug. 28, against the St. Louis Rams. He hasn't done much at receiver in training camp and the preseason, but he is a valuable kick returner. The team is exploring other options, such as WRs Jarvis Landry and Damian Williams. If the team is comfortable with the alternatives, Thigpen's roster spot could be in jeopardy.
