Broncos | Bradley Roby OK with playing safety

Wed, 22 Apr 2015 16:19:12 -0700

Denver Broncos CB Bradley Roby said he's open to the idea of serving as the Broncos' safety net, Wednesday, April 22. "I consider myself a cornerback. I don't see myself as a safety. But I am open to it," Roby said. "They have talked about putting me in certain packages to get me on the field rather than having one of their better players watching from the sidelines. I understand what they are thinking." The idea came to head coach Gary Kubiak as an effort to keep the sophomore on the field more. The Broncos' projected starting cornerbacks are Aqib Talib and Chris Harris Jr.

Broncos | Bradley Roby in line for bigger role

Tue, 31 Mar 2015 16:07:39 -0700

Denver Broncos CB Bradley Roby could be in line for even more playing time in 2015 after the team relied heavily on him in his rookie season in 2014. The new coaching staff is already considering way to get Roby in the team's base defense in the new 3-4 defensive scheme. Roby could see some work at safety, too, with FS Rahim Moore departing in free agency. Roby is willing to play any position, and he finished last year as the team's third leading tackler.

Broncos | Bradley Roby could play FS

Mon, 23 Mar 2015 11:29:34 -0700

Denver Broncos CB Bradley Roby could be given a look at free safety this year, according to general manager John Elway. "He can tackle he's tough and that safety has to be a cover guy there," Elway said of the team's first-round draft pick who had a fine rookie season in 2014. "There are lot of different combinations you need to play because the game is changing. Instead of having a strong safety, you want both of them to play center field."

Thu, 08 May 2014 20:33:23 -0700

The Denver Broncos selected Ohio State CB Bradley Roby with the 31st overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Fantasy Tip: Good move to keep their CB crew afloat for 2014 and beyond. His off-field troubles are a bit concerning, but he's a staunch first-round talent that should add a few takeaways to this D.
