Bengals | Jeremy Hill hurts hand

Fri, 12 Aug 2016 20:57:41 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill (hand) injured his hand in the first quarter of a preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings Friday, Aug. 12. He stayed on the sidelines but didn't return to the game.

Fantasy Tip: The injury doesn't sound serious, and he should be a low-end RB2 in standard leagues. His backfield mate, Giovani Bernard, has more appeal in PPR formats.

Bengals | Big year for Jeremy Hill?

Mon, 25 Jul 2016 14:59:27 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill is expected to have a "huge year," according to Paul Dehner Jr. of The Cincinnati Enquirer.

Fantasy Tip: It's easy to get excited about players leading up to and during training camps, but Hill has been fairly consistent over his first two years. He has a knack for finding the end zone, scoring 20 times in those two seasons. He's a better fit in standard scoring leagues and should be viewed as an RB2 heading into 2016.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard in more two-back sets

Thu, 30 Jun 2016 07:19:24 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard could be used in more two-back sets with RB Jeremy Hill to make up for the loss of TE Tyler Eifert (ankle) early in the season.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard hasn't had the kind of buzz he had in his first couple of years in the league. Truth is, though, that he rushed for a career-high 730 yards and 4.7 yards per carry. He also caught 49 balls for 472 yards. The problem is that he only had two total touchdowns. Bernard is a solid RB3 in fantasy and has upside in PPR leagues. Hill is a good RB2 in most formats.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill hoping to up efficiency

Sat, 21 May 2016 21:18:46 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill's yards per carry dropped from 5.1 as a rookie to 3.6 last season, and he was missing running lanes that he hit quickly in his rookie year.

Fantasy Tip: His status as the goal-line back should ensure that he is at least a serviceable RB3, and he could easily finish as a RB2 if he returns to form.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill motivated

Tue, 17 May 2016 16:49:09 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill is using his costly playoff fumble from last season to motivate himself this offseason. "If anything [the fumble] motivated me as a player and will continue to help me the rest of my career," Hill said. Hill added that he's embracing his mistake and is waiting for his opportunity to overcome it.

Fantasy Tip: Hill has fumbled eight times in his first two seasons in the NFL, but he has also rushed for 20 touchdowns in those first two years. He'll continue to split time with Giovani Bernard, but he's an RB2 option in standard leagues.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill told to focus on power runs

Sun, 14 Feb 2016 19:03:33 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill met with the coaching staff late last season and was told to revert to his straightforward, power style instead of trying to turn every carry into a long run.

Fantasy Tip: Hill struggled with efficiency last year, but he still managed to rush for 11 scores. Even if he is splitting carries with Giovani Bernard, Hill is still a potential flex option as a long as he is receiving the carries near the goal line.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill struggled after contact

Mon, 25 Jan 2016 15:41:11 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill averaged only 1.46 yards after contact this season, which ranked him behind 42 other running backs in the NFL.

Fantasy Tip: Hill saw a drop in his rushing yards this season even though he had nearly the same amount of carries as last season. He finished the regular season with 794 yards and 11 touchdowns. Hill probably will split work with Giovani Bernard again next season and could be a middle-round option.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill runs over Baltimore

Sun, 03 Jan 2016 16:33:17 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill had 16 carries for 96 yards and a touchdown and two catches for 19 yards in a 24-16 win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 17.

Fantasy Tip: The Bengals have been relying heavily on Hill in Andy Dalton's absence, and if Dalton is unable to return for the playoffs, expect Hill to continue to see plenty of touches.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill scores twice

Sun, 20 Dec 2015 19:13:12 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill had 19 carries for 31 yards and two touchdowns in a 24-14 win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 15.

Fantasy Tip: The two scores masked an otherwise poor outing as Hill once again struggled to gain many yards per carry. He has become a touchdown-dependent option at FantasyScore.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill held in check

Sun, 13 Dec 2015 16:30:40 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill had seven carries for 16 yards and two catches for eight yards in a 33-20 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 14.

Fantasy Tip: After back-to-back strong outings, Hill came up small against Pittsburgh. He remains a risky option from one week to the next at FantasyScore.
