Baltimore Ravens WR Michael Campanaro remains in the mix for a spot on the 53-man roster. If the team elects to keep just five receivers, he would be competing against WRs Kamar Aiken, Jeremy Butler and Deonte Thompson for a spot. Campanaro could help himself in the preseason finale Thursday, Aug. 28, against the New Orleans Saints.

Updating previous reports, Baltimore Ravens WR Michael Campanaro (ribs) had X-rays reveal bruised ribs, according to a source. He was injured in practice when he landed on the football.

Baltimore Ravens WR Michael Campanaro has been adjusting to press coverage and has been making more plays as training camp has progressed. "Michael has great feet," Ravens wide receivers coach Bobby Engram said. "He has a lot of quickness. He understands how to separate. He's a smaller guy, but he's strong. He knows how to leverage himself to create separation, and that's what you really look for from a slot receiver."

Baltimore Ravens WR Jeremy Butler appears to have an edge for the No. 5 wide receiver job entering training camp because of his impressive performance during offseason workouts but may have to compete with WRs Michael Campanaro, Deonte Thompson and LaQuan Williams for the roster spot. It is not known if the team will keep five or six wide receivers on their final roster.
