Updating a previous report, Chicago Bears CB Kyle Fuller (ankle) suffered an ankle injury in the preseason game Thursday, Aug. 14, against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but it is not believed to be serious. X-rays were negative, and he was not wearing a walking boot or in need of crutches.

Chicago Bears TE Martellus Bennett was suspended indefinitely for conduct detrimental to the team and fined an undisclosed amount after he threw rookie CB Kyle Fuller to the ground in practice Monday, Aug. 4. Bears head coach Marc Trestman ended practice 10 minutes early after the altercation.

Fantasy Tip: Stay tuned to see if this suspension lingers into the regular season. Bennett is a low-end TE1.

Chicago Bears TE Martellus Bennett and CB Kyle Fuller were involved in a heated physical altercation during a red zone drill in practice Monday, Aug. 4. Fuller tried to strip the football from Bennett and instead hooked the front of Bennett's shoulder pads which caused Bennett to fall to the ground. "I come to training camp for one reason and that's to prepare to win a championship," Bennett said later at lunch. "I play hard and go hard every single day. I'm probably one of the most violent people on the field. That's just my style of play. I'm going to continue to play the same way I always play. That's what I'm here for."

Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman said the team has not decided on what CB Kyle Fuller's role would be the upcoming season. "We're moving people around and he's one of the guys we're moving around," Trestman said. "Certainly we're excited and he has had a good camp. He's getting work but he has to earn his job."
