Giants | Odell Beckham praised by Richard Sherman

Mon, 10 Nov 2014 10:24:53 -0800

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. had a game-high seven catches for 108 yards in the team's Week 10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, and he was covered by CB Richard Sherman for most of the game. "Beckham is a great player," Sherman said. "So they had to depend on him and take risks and take shots in games like this. He was able to get one earlier, which was a great play by him."

Fantasy Tip: Beckham is the real deal, folks. His performance against Sherman and the Seahawks shows that he has basically become a must-start in standard fantasy leagues. Manning isn't afraid to go to the rookie often now, making him a very good play at FantasyScore, as well.

Giants | Odell Beckham shines in loss

Tue, 04 Nov 2014 10:54:10 -0800

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. had his first 100-yard receiving game in Week 9 against the Indianapolis Colts Monday, Nov. 3, with eight catches for 156 yards. He had just one catch for 19 yards in the second half, though, and much of his damage came with the game well out of hand. "It's still kind of just getting there right now," Beckham said. "I'm doing the best I can to maintain what I've gone through already, but I wouldn't say that it's all the way there yet. It's still a work in progress." Beckham missed all of the preseason and the first four games of the year due to a hamstring injury.

Fantasy Tip: Beckham continues to display his freakish athleticism and great hands. His ceiling is incredibly high for fantasy owners as he gets acclimated to the offense and gets his legs under him. He should be considered at least a WR3 for the remainder of the season.

Giants | Odell Beckham could move around

Wed, 22 Oct 2014 21:57:55 -0700

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. might be moved around over the final nine games, according to receivers coach Sean Ryan. He said Wednesday, Oct. 22, that he envisions moving Beckham around so teams cannot just key on the young playmaker, and the belief is that Beckham's skills will play well in the slot. The only thing that may prevent the team from moving him inside is that they don't want "to overload him."

Fantasy Tip: Whatever role he fulfills down the stretch, it is certain he will have a bigger role with Cruz done for the season. Beckham is still a pretty decent bargain at $5,300 (or 10.6 percent of the cap) in FantasyScore.

Giants | Giants comfortable with WR options

Tue, 14 Oct 2014 10:07:20 -0700

New York Giants WRs Rueben Randle and Odell Beckham Jr. are acceptable options to replace WR Victor Cruz (knee), according to head coach Tom Coughlin, with WR Preston Parker in the slot position. The Giants are content in not trading for another receiver from outside the organization. The only other healthy receiver on the current roster is WR Corey Washington.

Fantasy Tip: Randle, Beckham and Parker will see increased opportunities in the offense moving forward with Cruz out for the season. That'll boost their values, but there could be growing pains with these young receivers as they're given more attention from opponents.

Giants | Odell Beckham could play the slot

Mon, 13 Oct 2014 13:06:08 -0700

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. could move to the slot with WR Victor Cruz (knee) out for the season, but Beckham has never played the position. WR Preston Parker filled in in the slot in Week 6 when Cruz was injured, and he can play on the outside, too. WR Corey Washington has worked exclusively on the outside and could see some more opportunities in the offense with Cruz out.

Fantasy Tip: After a fine season debut in Week 5, Beckham had just two catches (four targets) for 28 yards in the Week 6 loss. He'll have his ups and downs, especially if he moves to the slot to learn a new position. All of the Giants receivers will see a boost in value with Cruz out, and Parker is worth a look on the waiver wire in deeper leagues.

Giants | Odell Beckham quickly ascends

Fri, 10 Oct 2014 19:03:18 -0700

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring) was eased back in his regular season debut in Week 5, coming off the bench behind WR Preston Parker. However, he played a major role as the No. 3 receiver in the second half, and he posted his first touchdown. He played 35 of 68 snaps (51.5 percent), and that role is expected to grow moving forward.

Fantasy Tip: Beckham was a great daily fantasy value last weekend, and he will be solid mid-level daily option going forward in the No. 3 receiver role.

Giants | Odell Beckham to be used more?

Fri, 10 Oct 2014 13:41:24 -0700

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. played 35 of 68 offensive snaps in his NFL debut in Week 5, and that figure is expected to increase moving forward. He sat behind WR Preston Parker in the first half against the Atlanta Falcons, but then played a huge role as the No. 3 receiver in the second half with the team trailing. Beckham showed great athleticism and scored a touchdown in the game.

Fantasy Tip: Beckham's ceiling is very high for his fantasy owners. His matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday night is very enticing, too. Beckham could put up impressive numbers for a second straight week.

Giants | Odell Beckham debuts with TD

Sun, 05 Oct 2014 14:28:42 -0700

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring) had four receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown in the Week 5 game against the Atlanta Falcons in his team debut.

Fantasy Tip: Beckham missed the first month of the season due to a hamstring injury, and was the last first-round pick of the 2014 NFL Draft to make his season debut. He was a steal in FantasyScore this week, but his salary is likely to increase significantly heading into the next game following his score.

Sun, 05 Oct 2014 08:05:03 -0700

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring) is active for the Week 5 game Sunday, Oct. 5.

Fantasy Tip: Beckham is worth considering as a $3,000 (6% of your cap) flier on FantasyScore today.

Giants | Odell Beckham questionable

Fri, 03 Oct 2014 12:26:48 -0700

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 5 against the Atlanta Falcons, and he thinks he will play. If he plays, he's expected to be the No. 3 receiver behind WRs Victor Cruz and Rueben Randle. The Giants have been featuring many three receiver sets this year. Beckham could also return punts, but he's unsure what his role will be against the Falcons.

Fantasy Tip: Folks had high hopes for Beckham in his rookie season, but he has yet to play a game. If he suits up, temper your expectations in what could feature plenty of the G-Men's running game.
