Wood Brothers | Mulling options to replace Trevor Bayne

Wed, 28 May 2014 20:39:57 -0700

Wood Brothers Racing co-owner Eddie Wood said some prospective drivers stopped by the team's hauler last weekend in Charlotte after the announcer driver Trevor Bayne was moving on to Roush-Fenway Racing next season. The Wood Brothers have not met with Ford Racing or sponsor Motorcraft/Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center about Bayne's replacement, but Ford is expected to have a large say in the process. Potential replacements might be Team Penske driver Ryan Blaney, who races Fords in the Nationwise Series and Camping World Trucks Series, and Roush-Fenway developmental drivers Chris Buescher and Ryan Reed.
