Cardinals | John Brown continues to impress

Mon, 11 Aug 2014 15:17:00 -0700

Arizona Cardinals rookie WR John Brown continues to impress during training camp, and the team may be forced to take six wide receivers on their final roster.

Fantasy Tip: Brown has been a nice surprise, but he's buried too far on the depth chart to be a real fantasy football contributor, at least to start the season. Keep his name in the back of your mind, though.

Cardinals | Jaron Brown heads No. 4 receiver battle

Wed, 06 Aug 2014 17:07:30 -0700

Arizona Cardinals WR Jaron Brown is listed on the team's second-team offense with WR Ted Ginn Jr. behind starting WRs Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd. The team's first depth chart of the preseason shows WRs John Brown and Walter Powell on the third-team offense, with WRs Dan Buckner, Reggie Dunn, Brittan Golden and Kevin Ozier on the fourth team.

Fantasy Tip: The fantasy value line stops at Ginn, or the third receiver, unless injuries strike the top of the depth chart. John Brown has looked like a speedster in camp, but he needs to have a good training camp and preseason to sniff the field. Right now, he is worth watching, but not worth drafting.

Cardinals | John Brown tough to cover in camp

Mon, 28 Jul 2014 17:00:54 -0700

Arizona Cardinals WR John Brown has impressed general manager Steve Keim during camp, according to ESPN.com's Josh Weinfuss. "I can tell you so far we haven't been able to cover him," Keim said Monday, July 28, per Weinfuss.

Fantasy Tip: Brown is expected to open the year as the team's No. 4 receiver, but it looks like he has a chance to become a big-play weapon in the Cardinals' pass-heavy attack. He is worth considering as a late-round flier at this point.
