Jets | Quincy Enunwa sitting out

Sun, 21 Aug 2016 11:19:33 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (concussion) is not participating in practice Sunday, Aug. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa will need to pass the concussion tests before he can play again, so owners should monitor the situation. He has a chance to be the No. 3 receiver for the Jets this season but likely can be avoided in fantasy drafts.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa has concussion

Sat, 20 Aug 2016 10:22:45 -0700

Updating a previous report, New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (concussion) suffered a concussion during the first quarter of the preseason game versus the Washington Redskins Friday, Aug. 19. Enunwa sustained the injury when he was accidentally kneed in the head by Washington Redskins WR Jamison Crowder on punt coverage.

Fantasy Tip: Although Enunwa is expected to serve as the Jets' No. 3 receiver, he should not be viewed as anything more than a WR5 in deeper fantasy leagues, with Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker slated to see the vast majority of the targets this season.

Jets | Big expectations for Quincy Enunwa

Thu, 11 Aug 2016 21:12:38 -0700

New York Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick said he thinks WR Quincy Enunwa can develop into a "big-time weapon" for the offense. Enunwa had a team-high 69 yards in a 17-13 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in the preseason opener Thursday, Aug. 11.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa is on track to be the No. 3 receiver, but with Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker soaking up most of the targets, Enunwa's ceiling is capped. At best, he is a WR5.

Jets | Jace Amaro turning heads

Mon, 01 Aug 2016 18:51:33 -0700

New York Jets TE Jace Amaro (shoulder) missed the entire 2015 season after shoulder surgery, but he has stood out during the early days of training camp making a lot of catches while serving as a noticeable target in red-zone drills. Last season WR Quincy Enunwa emerged as a hybrid receiver/tight end, and that might be whom Amaro is fighting for reps this year.

Fantasy Tip: Amaro was a standout at Texas Tech and entered the NFL with much fanfare. However, he didn't do much in 2014 and was sidelined completely in 2015, so fantasy owners might be able to scoop him up on the cheap in drafts this season. He still has plenty of upside and could be that late-round gem to push you over the top.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa set to be third receiver?

Thu, 21 Jul 2016 12:10:05 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa currently has the inside track on being the No. 3 wide receiver. He will battle with WRs Kenbrell Thompkins, Jalin Marshall and Devin Smith (knee) for roster spots and playing time behind WRs Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall and Decker are both viable No. 2 receivers for your fantasy squad and also provide a reliable floor. There's a tremendous falloff after them, though. Additionally, there isn't a lot of fantasy value for the third receiver in the passing game, especially if tight end Jace Amaro reestablishes himself as a pass catcher. At this point, Enunwa and Thompkins are potential late-round fliers in deep leagues, but they are likely best left to the waiver wire. Marshall and Smith don't currently move the fantasy needle.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa, Kenbrell Thompkins practice

Thu, 31 Dec 2015 11:49:54 -0800

New York Jets WRs Quincy Enunwa (neck) and Kenbrell Thompkins (quadriceps, shin) both practiced in full for the second straight day Thursday, Dec. 31.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) and Thompkins ($2,000) are overshadowed by Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall, but they could both be successful deep sleepers on FantasyScore if the Buffalo Bills try to shut down the Jets top two receivers.
