Jets | Quincy Enunwa's surgery goes well

Tue, 22 Aug 2017 15:51:45 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (back) underwent a successful surgery Tuesday, Aug. 22, to repair the bulging disk in his back. He will not play in 2017, but still plans to be around the team and in the community.

Fantasy Tip: Robby Anderson is one of the sleepiest sleepers heading into fantasy drafts as the No. 1 wide receiver in New York. The Jets' offense rivals that of a collegiate team, but Anderson can be a silver lining this year. Take a chance on him in later rounds.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa to have surgery soon

Thu, 17 Aug 2017 13:19:11 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (neck) is expected to undergo surgery on his neck sometime next week. Enunwa had hoped to avoid surgery after receiving a second opinion.

Fantasy Tip: With Enunwa out for the season, Robby Anderson is the No. 1 wide receiver for the Jets heading into 2017. He has sleeper written all over him if he can stay healthy as the Jets will indubitably be forced to pass a lot this season. Take a chance on Anderson in the later rounds of fantasy drafts.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa has bulging disk

Mon, 07 Aug 2017 13:54:29 -0700

Updating a previous report, New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (neck) is out six to nine months with a bulging disk in his neck, according to head coach Todd Bowles.

Fantasy Tip: As stated earlier, Robby Anderson is suddenly a No. 1 wide receiver, albeit in an abysmal offense. Only Anderson, Bilal Powell and Matt Forte are the only Jets worth drafting.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa going to IR

Mon, 07 Aug 2017 12:21:43 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (neck) is being placed on the Reserve/Injured list with a neck injury, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: It just keeps getting worse for the lowly Jets. Robby Anderson will now assume the No. 1 wide receiver position, with Charone Peake, ArDarius Stewart and Chad Hansen, among others, filling in behind. Anderson is the only draftable receiver right now, but a sleeper could emerge.

Jets | Neck issue for Quincy Enunwa

Sat, 05 Aug 2017 18:41:56 -0700

Updating a previous report, New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (neck) is dealing with the same type of neck injury that bothered him during the spring, head coach Todd Bowles said Saturday, Aug. 5.

Fantasy Tip: It sounds like the injury is minor, so Enunwa should be fine when Week 1 rolls around. He is the best receiver the Jets have, making him a volume-based WR4.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa exits scrimmage

Sat, 05 Aug 2017 18:12:21 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (undisclosed) exited the scrimmage Saturday, Aug. 5, and walked to the locker room under his own power.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa is the top option for a thin receiving corps, and if he misses time, Robby Anderson would become the de facto No. 1 option and a potential WR5.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa could play outside

Fri, 21 Jul 2017 20:57:36 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa could move to the outside this season because of the lack of depth at the position.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa should be the top option by default after the offseason departures of Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker, but the passing attack for the Jets doesn't figure to be potent. He could be a volume-based WR4.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa most efficient on deep balls

Mon, 10 Jul 2017 21:28:43 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa had the highest catch rate on deep targets in the NFL last season, hauling in eight such receptions on 10 tries for 278 yards.

Fantasy Tip: What makes it even more impressive is that Enunwa accomplished this feat with the likes of Ryan Fitzpatrick, Geno Smith and Bryce Petty throwing him the football. Either way, owners shouldn't put too much stock in Enunwa going into fantasy drafts, as the Jets are once again projected to have one of the league's worst offenses, with Josh McCown set to start under center.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa absent at minicamp

Tue, 13 Jun 2017 14:47:39 -0700

New York Jets WRs Quincy Enunwa (neck) will not participate in minicamp this week, according to head coach Todd Bowles.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa will be the Jets wide receiver to target this year with the losses of Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker. He'll be bogged down by a subpar quarterback, though, and is merely a flex option at best.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa may emerge as Jets' top option

Wed, 10 May 2017 20:23:36 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa believes he's going to have "an opportunity to do a lot more than he was able to do last year", and SNY's Ralph Vacchiano suggests the 24-year-old may be the team's top receiving option if WR Eric Decker can't make it all the way back from hip and shoulder surgery.

Fantasy Tip: Decker fully expects to be back by training camp, so this figures to be a non-story so long as the Jets don't designate make him a post-June cut, which seems unlikely at this point. Enunwa led the team with 857 receiving yards in 2016, and a repeat of that production at the very least seems possible whether Decker is playing or not. The third-year Nebraska product should be considered a WR5 in most fantasy leagues.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa dropped five passes

Wed, 22 Feb 2017 12:25:25 -0800

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa dropped five passes this past season, according to ESPN Stats and Information.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa was a consistent option for the Jets this past season and led the team in receiving yards with 857 yards and touchdowns with four. He should continue to have a solid role in the passing game in 2017 and can be a No. 3 receiver for fantasy owners.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa enjoys career year

Thu, 02 Feb 2017 19:20:20 -0800

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa finished the 2016 season with 58 catches for 857 yards and four touchdowns, setting career highs in all three categories.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa ran hot and cold, but if Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker aren't back with the team, Enunwa should slide into a bigger role and will be a worth a look as a WR4 in 2017.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa finishes strong

Sun, 01 Jan 2017 21:43:07 -0800

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa posted five receptions for 81 yards on eight targets in the Week 17 game against the Buffalo Bills.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa finished up with 58 receptions for 857 yards and four scores. He was a bit erratic with his production, following up good games by completely disappearing. If he can show some consistency in 2017 he might be a fantasy regular in 2017.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa finishes with 81 yards

Sun, 01 Jan 2017 15:06:34 -0800

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa caught five passes for 81 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 17.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa was a nice surprise for owners this season and should be at least the No. 3 receiver for the Jets next season. He probably can be considered a late-round option in drafts next season and can be used as a flex option at times.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa held to one catch

Sat, 24 Dec 2016 13:28:32 -0800

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa caught one pass for 30 yards against the New England Patriots in Week 16.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa was targeted five times during the game but was only able to catch one of the passes. He will be a risky option because of the uncertainty the team has at quarterback and can be benched if owners have better options.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa draws questionable tag

Fri, 16 Dec 2016 12:17:16 -0800

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (ribs) is being considered questionable to play in the team's Week 15 game Saturday, Dec. 17, against the Miami Dolphins. He was limited in practice for the third consecutive day Friday, Dec. 16.

Fantasy Tip: The Jets offense has been downgraded everywhere since Bryce Petty took over under center, and unfortunately, that's certainly been the case with the former sixth-round draft pick's production the past two weeks. Even going beyond that, Enunwa hasn't done much of note lately, topping 30 yards only once in his past five games. He belongs on the fantasy bench right now.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa also limited

Thu, 15 Dec 2016 14:16:12 -0800

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (ribs) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Dec. 15.

Fantasy Tip: Oddly enough, the most valuable wide receiver with Bryce Petty at quarterback is Robby Anderson. Both Brandon Marshall and Quincy Enunwa are not recommended starts in the fantasy playoffs, especially if neither of them is at full strength.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa limited Wednesday

Wed, 14 Dec 2016 14:31:10 -0800

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (ribs) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa has been held to under 30 yards in four of the last five games and has only six receptions in those four games. He should be able to play against the Miami Dolphins this week but should only be considered a flex option in deeper leagues.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa nearly invisible

Mon, 05 Dec 2016 21:42:46 -0800

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa posted just one reception for 10 yards on two targets in the Week 13 game against the Indianapolis Colts Monday, Dec. 5.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa was not targeted at all once Bryce Petty checked into the game, and that's not a good sign going forward if Petty is given the keys to the New York offense. Enunwa has been productive at times, but he has been awfully erratic. Avoid him in all but the deepest of fantasy leagues.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa breaks century mark

Mon, 28 Nov 2016 05:32:44 -0800

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa caught five passes for 109 yards and a touchdown in a 22-17 loss to the New England Patriots Sunday, Nov. 27.

Fantasy Tip: It was the best game of his career thus far. He's a decent WR3, but he is lacking the consistency as he caught one pass for seven yards two weeks ago before the bye week. He'll be an WR3 option against the Indianapolis Colts.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa not on injury report

Fri, 25 Nov 2016 14:10:58 -0800

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (neck) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 25, and is not on the injury report for Week 12.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa has been a solid fantasy option for owners this season but has been limited to two catches and 32 yards in the past two games. He has been targeted at least six times in all but two games this season and should have a solid role this week. He could be a flex option in deeper leagues, but owners in standard leagues may be able to find better players.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa has full practice

Thu, 24 Nov 2016 14:37:13 -0800

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (neck) participated fully in practice Thursday, Nov. 24.

Fantasy Tip: As is the case with Brandon Marshall, Enunwa's fantasy value is hindered because of Ryan Fitzpatrick. He still has some upside, but temper expectations with Fitzpatrick back as starter. Don't view him as more than a low-end WR3 or high-end WR4.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa listed as limited

Wed, 23 Nov 2016 14:45:41 -0800

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (neck) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 23.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa has been limited to two catches for 32 yards on 10 targets over the last two games. He has been pretty consistent for fantasy owners and should continue to be a solid part of the passing game. He can be a No. 3 receiver or a flex option in most fantasy leagues.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa limited to one grab

Sun, 06 Nov 2016 18:59:29 -0800

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa posted just one grab for 25 yards on four targets in the Week 9 game against the Miami Dolphins.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa entered with touchdowns in back-to-back games, but this was easily his worst game of the season. Normally he can be trusted as a WR3 in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams. He'll look to bounce back in Week 10 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Thu, 03 Nov 2016 12:56:10 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (ankle, knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 3.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa has been a consistent player for the Jets and fantasy owners this season and will continue to see a solid amount of targets. He should be at least a No. 3 receiver in all fantasy leagues.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa full go

Wed, 02 Nov 2016 15:29:51 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (ankle, knee) participated fully in practice Wednesday, Nov. 2.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa is riding a hot streak after finding the endzone in each of his last two games. He has easily outperformed his counterpart, Brandon Marshall, but don't expect that to happen every week, or even this week. Enunwa's matchup is a favorable one versus the Miami Dolphins. Start him as a WR2 or WR3.

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa racked up four receptions for a season-high 93 yards and a touchdown in the Week 8 game against the Cleveland Browns. He was targeted a team-high 11 times.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa has scores in back-to-back games, and he has four or more grabs in six of his eight outings. He has emerged as a decent WR3 in all fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams.

Sun, 23 Oct 2016 15:14:02 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa caught two passes for 73 yards and one touchdown against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa has been a consistent option for owners this season and will continue to receive a solid amount of targets moving forward. He should be a solid No. 3 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa quiet in loss

Mon, 17 Oct 2016 21:26:12 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa managed three receptions for 42 yards in the Week 6 game against the Arizona Cardinals Monday, Oct. 17. He was targeted five times.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa has filled in nicely with Eric Decker on the sidelines, but he has seen a decrease in receiving yardage in each of the past three games and he hasn't visited the end zone since Week 1. Right now he is only worth using as a WR4 in most fantasy leagues.

Sat, 15 Oct 2016 14:02:14 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (knee) fully participated in practice Saturday, Oct. 15, and is not on the injury report for Week 6.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa has been targeted at least seven times in four of the five games this season and will continue to be a main part of the passing game with Eric Decker out for the season. He will be facing a solid Arizona Cardinals defense this week but could still be at least a flex option.

Fri, 14 Oct 2016 14:11:57 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa has become a reliable receiver for the Jets this season and will continue to be in the starting lineup. He will be facing a tough Arizona Cardinals secondary but should still be considered a No. 3 receiver or a flex option.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa not limited

Thu, 13 Oct 2016 15:17:11 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (knee) participated fully in practice Thursday, Oct. 13.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa is the Jets' No. 2 receiver for the rest of the season with Eric Decker out. He has been one of the most pleasant surprises in football this year, but the Arizona Cardinals are one of the better defenses against the pass. Starting Enunwa is fine, especially if a roster is full of byes and injuries, but don't expect eye-popping numbers.

Sun, 09 Oct 2016 13:55:04 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa caught four passes for 51 yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 5.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa entered the game with an injury but appeared to be fine during the game. He will continue to start while Eric Decker is sidelined and been a solid part of the passing game so far this season. He should be considered a No. 3 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (knee) is officially active for the team's Week 5 game.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa will be in the starting lineup with Eric Decker ruled out and should receive a solid amount of targets against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He should be considered a No. 3 receiver in all fantasy leagues and could be a low-end No. 2 receiver for some owners.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa expected to play

Sun, 09 Oct 2016 00:12:45 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (knee) is expected to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday, Oct. 9, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Enunwa is officially listed as questionable.

Fantasy Tip: While Enunwa will be up, it remains to be seen how effective he'll be. It gives Ryan Fitzpatrick another target in the passing game, but if you have safer options it might be wiser to start them ahead of Enunwa.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa good to go for Week 5?

Fri, 07 Oct 2016 20:22:55 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (knee) is not dealing with a serious knee injury and should be able to play in Week 5 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Tip: With Eric Decker out of action, Enunwa should be a solid WR3 in PPR formats against the Steelers.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa added to injury report

Fri, 07 Oct 2016 10:45:13 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (knee) has been listed as questionable for Week 5 against the Pittsburgh Steelers after appearing on the injury report Friday, Oct. 7, with a knee injury.

Fantasy Tip: With Eric Decker already ruled out and Jalin Marshall not expected back anytime soon, the Jets may be forced to turn to undrafted free agent Robby Anderson to start if Enunwa cannot play. While the team thinks highly of Anderson, owners should expect a boatload of targets for Brandon Marshall, Bilal Powell and Matt Forte against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Given the likely game script for this weekend's contest, Brandon Marshall may lead the league in targets this week if Enunwa sits out.

Jets | Six grabs for Quincy Enunwa

Sun, 02 Oct 2016 18:30:04 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa managed six receptions for 60 yards on seven receptions in Week 4 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa filled in admirably for Eric Decker, putting up decent numbers against a strong Seattle secondary. If Decker is sidelined again in Week 5 then Enunwa is worth a look as a low-end WR3 in most fantasy leagues, especially PPR formats.

Jets | Robby Anderson the new No. 3 WR for NYJ

Sat, 01 Oct 2016 10:56:07 -0700

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson is expected to serve as the third receiver behind Brandon Marshall and Quincy Enunwa while Eric Decker is sidelined with partially torn rotator cuff.

Fantasy Tip: Anderson may be an undrafted rookie free agent, but he led the team with 13 catches for 264 yards and three touchdowns during the preseason. At 6-3 and 190 pounds, he's a bit slight and will work only as an outside receiver as Marshall and Enunwa likely share slot duties. He's unlikely to come into much redraft value barring another injury ahead of him, but he needs to be on the radar of dynasty owners.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa targeted 11 times

Sun, 25 Sep 2016 21:03:33 -0700

New York Jets QB Quincy Enunwa has managed four receptions for 37 yards in Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs. He was targeted a game-high 11 times.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa was a popular addition off the waiver wire across fantasy football, and Gang Green certainly tried to feed him the ball. However, Ryan Fitzpatrick had a terrible outing and he just wasn't on the same page with any of his receivers. Enunwa has WR4 potential going forward, but he isn't worth using in Week 4 against a suffocating Seattle secondary.

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (ribs) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 23, and is not on the injury report for Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa has been one of the more surprising players in fantasy football this season and will continue to have a solid role in the Jets' passing game. He should be at least a No. 3 receiver for most owners.

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (ribs) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa has recorded 146 yards and one touchdown over the first two games of the season and could have a bigger role in Week 3 because of injuries to Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker. Enunwa should be considered a No. 3 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

Jets | Quincy Enunwa becoming a weapon

Sat, 17 Sep 2016 17:56:18 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa is the "unsung hero" for the offense, according to WR Brandon Marshall, and WR Eric Decker said Enunwa understands coverages better this year and will be a "huge weapon" going forward.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa has 13 grabs for 146 yards for through two games, and he is the clear No. 3 option in a potent passing attack. He shouldn't be relied on as a starter, but he should make a useful depth piece as low-end WR4.

Updating a previous report, New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (ribs) is questionable to return against the Buffalo Bills Thursday, Sept. 15, with a rib injury.

Thu, 15 Sep 2016 19:51:16 -0700

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (undisclosed) went to the locker room with trainers against the Buffalo Bills Thursday, Sept. 15.

Fantasy Tip: Enunwa was having another solid game, and he has solidified himself as the third option in the passing game. As long as the injury is minor, he is worth look in 12-team leagues going forward.

Tue, 13 Sep 2016 14:19:55 -0700

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (hip) and WR Quincy Enunwa (ribs) participated fully in practice Tuesday, Sept. 13.

Fantasy Tip: Marshall is coming off a disappointing Week 1 performance, but he's still a WR1 candidate despite a relatively tough matchup. Enunwa should no longer be viewed as a pushover after finding the endzone last week. At the least he should be claimed off waivers in standard leagues as the Jets' No. 3 wide receiver.
