Chiefs | Albert Wilson finds the end zone

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 18:35:49 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson posted three catches for 18 yards and a touchdown in Week 3 against the Los Angeles Chargers. He was targeted four times.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson found the end zone, which is nice, but his fantasy value remains limited as long as Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill and Kareem Hunt remain healthy. That triumvirate will see a majority of the touches with Wilson fighting with others for scraps.

Chiefs | Demarcus Robinson, Albert Wilson could start

Sun, 04 Jun 2017 15:25:49 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WRs Demarcus Robinson and Albert Wilson are considered the leading candidates for the starting receiver job opposite WR Chris Conley, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Adam Teicher.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson could have an edge over Robinson because of his experience, but owners should keep an eye on the competition during training camp. The winner of the job probably will not receive a lot of targets during the season and probably can be avoided in most leagues.

Chiefs | Albert Wilson tendered

Thu, 09 Mar 2017 09:27:04 -0800

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson received a one-year, $1.797 million tender Thursday, March 9.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson has yet to show much of anything at the pro level, and playing in a clock-control offense doesn't bode well for his fantasy prospects in 2017.

Chiefs | Albert Wilson finds end zone

Sun, 04 Dec 2016 14:36:43 -0800

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson rushed for 55 yards and one touchdown on one carry against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13. He also caught four passes for 48 yards during the game.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson has not had a big role in the passing game this season but has caught four passes in three of the last four games. He should continue to see some targets but probably should be avoided in most standard leagues.

Chiefs | Albert Wilson out of practice

Wed, 03 Aug 2016 07:28:56 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (undisclosed) is out of practice Wednesday, Aug. 3.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson has a chance to earn meaningful playing time if he can stay on the field. He's in the mix for a WR5 flyer with a good camp.

Tue, 02 Aug 2016 10:18:45 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (undisclosed) left practice early as he walked gingerly off the field Tuesday, Aug. 2.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson doesn't deserve to be drafted at this time. Avoid him in standard leagues.

Chiefs | Young WRs working with Jeremy Maclin

Tue, 28 Jun 2016 23:05:44 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin invited WR Chris Conley to work out with him at the team's training facility in the offseason. WR Albert Wilson joined them to lift weights, watch film and work on route concepts four days a week until the team's offseason workout program in mid-April. Conley and Wilson are the team's No. 2 and 3 receivers, and trying to hold off newcomers WR Rod Streater and WR Tyreek Hill.

Fantasy Tip: Conley and Wilson are ready to take a big step forward in 2016, and both are worth looks as middle- to late-round fliers in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams. They could each serve as useful WR3/4 or flex options, and their work ethic is certainly encouraging.

Chiefs | KC receiver depth still unsettled

Wed, 22 Jun 2016 13:43:02 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WRs Albert Wilson, Chris Conley, Rod Streater, De'Anthony Thomas and Tyreek Hill will all compete for playing time behind WR Jeremy Maclin. Head coach Andy Reid liked what he saw from Wilson and Conley during offseason workouts, though.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson and Conley probably have an inside edge with their experience and familiarity with the system. Maclin is really the only Chiefs receiver with any real fantasy value, but Wilson and Conley are worth a look as a WR5.

Chiefs | Two Chiefs questionable

Fri, 15 Jan 2016 08:56:06 -0800

Kansas City Chiefs RB Spencer Ware (ankle) and WR Albert Wilson (hamstring) are questionable for the divisional game against the New England Patriots Saturday, Jan. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Ware ($6,200, 12.4% of cap) should be good to go and will be a flex consideration on FantasyScore. Wilson ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) could be a low-end flyer with Jeremy Maclin (ankle) maligned with a high ankle sprain.

Chiefs | Travis Kelce, Albert Wilson fully practice

Thu, 14 Jan 2016 14:33:06 -0800

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (groin) and WR Albert Wilson (hamstring) were full participants in practice Thursday, Jan. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Both Kelce and Wilson ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) could see an influx in targets this weekend if Jeremy Maclin is unable to play. Kelce ($7,500, 15.0%) may be the most attractive fantasy option of any Chief this week, although the New England Patriots were solid defensively against that position this year.

Chiefs | Albert Wilson limited in practice

Wed, 13 Jan 2016 15:14:39 -0800

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (hamstring) was limited in practice Wednesday, Jan. 13.

Fantasy Tip: With Jeremy Maclin (ankle) fighting an uphill battle to play against the New England Patriots this weekend, Wilson ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) becomes much more attractive as a value pick on FantasyScore. However, he could find himself matched up against Malcolm Butler.

Chiefs | Albert Wilson, Chris Conley quiet

Sun, 03 Jan 2016 21:20:38 -0800

Kansas City Chiefs WRs Albert Wilson and Chris Conley each posted three receptions in the Week 17 game against the Oakland Raiders. Wilson managed 24 yards on six targets, while Conley totaled 22 yards on three targets.

Fantasy Tip: Conley and Wilson are low-end WR3 or flex FantasyScore options heading into the wild-card game against the Houston Texans next Saturday.

Chiefs | Albert Wilson listed as probable

Fri, 01 Jan 2016 16:20:41 -0800

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (shin) fully participated in practice Friday, Jan. 1, and is listed as probable for the Week 17 game against the Oakland Raiders.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) should continue to be one of the starting receivers for the Chiefs but has not posted big numbers this season. Owners should be able to find other option to use in their starting lineups.

Chiefs | Albert Wilson practices in full

Thu, 31 Dec 2015 17:32:37 -0800

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (shin) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 31.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) should see his normal role in the passing game despite his injury. He has recorded at least 50 yards in only one of his last five games and is not a great option.

Chiefs | Three Chiefs have full practice

Wed, 30 Dec 2015 16:22:52 -0800

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (groin), RB Spencer Ware (ribs) and WR Albert Wilson (shin) participated fully in practice Wednesday, Dec. 30.

Fantasy Tip: Kelce ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) is definitely the safest FantasyScore choice of the three, especially facing one of the worst fantasy defenses against tight ends in the Oakland Raiders. Ware ($3,400, 6.8%) isn't nearly as effective with Charcandrick West healthy, and Albert Wilson ($2,000, 4.0%) hasn't done much all year. Both should be avoided in Week 17.

Chiefs | Albert Wilson posts 87 yards, TD

Sun, 13 Dec 2015 21:10:35 -0800

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson racked up four receptions for a season-best 87 yards and a touchdown in the Week 14 win against the San Diego Chargers. He was targeted six times.

Fantasy Tip: It was just his second NFL TD, and first since Oct. 18. His six targets tied a season high, and he could be a sneaky FantasyScore option down the stretch as he and Alex Smith continue to build a nice rapport.

Chiefs | Jeremy Maclin in concussion protocol

Wed, 21 Oct 2015 10:52:08 -0700

Updating a previous report, Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin (concussion) must pass the league's concussion protocol this week in order to play in Week 7 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Maclin has been QB Alex Smith's favorite target, compiling 39 catches (eighth-most in the league) on 56 targets for 531 yards and a touchdown. WRs Albert Wilson and Chris Conley would likely be the top receivers if Maclin isn't cleared in time.

Fantasy Tip: Maclin's ($7,600, 15.2% of cap) Week 7 daily value just became very shaky, and we probably won't know until later this week if he'll be cleared to play. If he's out, none of the Chiefs offensive weapons are strong daily picks besides tight end Travis Kelce ($7,000, 14.0% of cap).

Chiefs | Albert Wilson finds end zone

Sun, 18 Oct 2015 21:42:59 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson posted three receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown in the Week 6 game against the Minnesota Vikings. He was targeted seven times.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is a cheap WR3 or flex play option in FantasyScore. He doesn't do a ton, but he starts and continues to hold off rookie Chris Conley ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) for targets.

Chiefs | Albert Wilson inactive for Week 5

Sun, 11 Oct 2015 09:16:08 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (shoulder) has been declared inactive for the Week 5 game against the Chicago Bears.

Fantasy Tip: Chris Conley ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) caught two passes for 53 yards last week as a starter and likely will be receiving another start. Owners should be able to find better options to use in their lineups.

Chiefs | Albert Wilson a question mark

Fri, 09 Oct 2015 15:09:56 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (shoulder) was limited in practice for the third straight day Friday, Oct. 9, and is questionable for Week 5 against the Chicago Bears.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) has only 25 yards on three catches for the year and should be avoided everywhere regardless of whether he plays against Chicago.

Chiefs | Albert Wilson limited again

Thu, 08 Oct 2015 15:39:00 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (shoulder) was limited in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Oct. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) has a nice matchup against the Chicago Bears, but he remains a very deep sleeper on FantasyScore. He has just three catches for 25 yards on the year, and they all came in Week 1.

Chiefs | Limited practice for Albert Wilson

Wed, 07 Oct 2015 16:10:31 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (shoulder) was limited in practice Wednesday, Oct. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) has just three catches (three targets) and 25 yards on the season and was out last weekend. Look elsewhere for a deep sleeper on FantasyScore, even though KC's matchup against the Chicago Bears is a great one.

Chiefs | KC's Week 4 inactives

Sun, 04 Oct 2015 08:50:26 -0700

Chiefs | Albert Wilson may miss game

Fri, 02 Oct 2015 14:21:52 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (shoulder) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 2, and is listed as questionable for the Week 4 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) may be a game-time decision for the game, so owners should check the inactive list before deciding on their lineups. Wilson has not posted great numbers so far this season and is not a great option if he is active.

Chiefs | Albert Wilson limited at practice

Thu, 01 Oct 2015 14:58:15 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (shoulder) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 1.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to keep an eye out on Wilson's ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) status to see if he is in danger of missing Week 4 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Wilson has not posted great numbers this season, so owners should be able to find better options to use.

Chiefs | Albert Wilson limited in practice

Wed, 30 Sep 2015 14:17:31 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (shoulder) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Sept. 30.

Fantasy Tip: Even if Wilson plays, he should not be started in seasonal or daily leagues as he has not even been targeted in his last two games.

Chiefs | Albert Wilson probable

Sat, 26 Sep 2015 12:55:10 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (shoulder) is listed as probable for Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) hasn't done a lot yet this year. He shouldn't be started until he can begin producing with consistency.

Chiefs | Albert Wilson takes part in practice

Fri, 25 Sep 2015 16:08:02 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 25.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is on track to play against the Green Bay Packers in Week 3. Wilson should continue to be one of the team's starting receivers but is not a great fantasy option since he only has 25 receiving yards through two weeks.

Chiefs | Albert Wilson a full participant

Thu, 24 Sep 2015 16:04:57 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (shoulder) participated fully in practice Thursday, Sept. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) has only been targeted three times in two games in 2015, so he can be avoided until further notice.

Chiefs | Albert Wilson ready

Wed, 16 Sep 2015 11:09:01 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (shoulder) practiced in full Wednesday, Sept. 16, and is probable for Week 2.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is a starter, but he's not a worthwhile start on FantasyScore against the Denver Broncos.

Chiefs | Albert Wilson listed as full participant

Tue, 15 Sep 2015 19:31:37 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (shoulder) was listed as a full participant in practice Tuesday, Sept. 15.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson ($2,000, 4.0% of cap), who is keeping the starting job opposite Jeremy Maclin ($6,000, 12.0% of cap) warm until rookie Chris Conley ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is ready, opened with three grabs for 25 yards in Week 1. That isn't enough to warrant using him in FantasyScore, even at a minimal DFS salary.

Chiefs | Albert Wilson not limited

Tue, 15 Sep 2015 11:31:07 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (shoulder) was able to fully practice Monday, Sept. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson was only targeted three times in Week 1, but did catch all three targets for 25 yards. He's not at the point where he should be considered a starter in fantasy lineups, however. Avoid him until he can produce more consistently.

Chiefs | Albert Wilson probable for Week 1

Fri, 11 Sep 2015 14:27:49 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (shoulder) fully participated in practice for the third straight day Friday, Sept. 11, and is listed as probable for Week 1 against the Houston Texans.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) won't be high on anyone's FantasyScore radar entering Week 1, so he could be a successful sleeper pick against Houston if you're looking to save salary cap space.

Chiefs | Albert Wilson practices Thursday

Thu, 10 Sep 2015 15:46:02 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (shoulder) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 10.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) finished the 2014 season strong and will look to improve his play. Wilson is expected to start Week 1 and should see targets but is not a great option for owners on FantasyScore.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (shoulder) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 9.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) should be ready to play in Week 1 and is expected to be one of the starting receivers for the Chiefs. Wilson could be an option for owners looking to save some money on FantasyScore but there probably would be better options for owners.

Chiefs | Chris Conley runs with first team

Mon, 31 Aug 2015 20:04:17 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Chris Conley lined up at one of the starting wide receiver positions in practice Monday, Aug. 31. He replaced the injured WR Albert Wilson (shoulder), who was shaken up in the last preseason game against the Tennessee Titans.

Fantasy Tip: Conley is a highly-touted rookie who should be able to secure a job in the starting lineup sooner rather than later, regardless of how Wilson performs early in the season. Wilson should simply be viewed as a placeholder until Conley is ready.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (shoulder) suffered a minor AC sprain in his shoulder during the third preseason game Friday, Aug. 28, and should be fine moving forward.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson could sit out the final preseason game but should be ready for Week 1. He could be the starting receiver opposite Jeremy Maclin this season and have a solid role in the passing game. He could be a late-round option in deeper leagues or a waiver wire option during the season.

Fri, 28 Aug 2015 17:18:20 -0700

Kansas City Chiefs WR Albert Wilson (shoulder) suffered a shoulder injury during the third preseason game Friday, Aug 28, and is considered questionable to return.

Fantasy Tip: Wilson has a chance to start this season, so owners should look for an update on his status after the game. Wilson may not be worth a pick in drafts but could be a waiver wire option during the season if he wins a starting job.
