Ravens | Crockett Gillmore injures hamstring

Fri, 29 Jul 2016 08:55:22 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (hamstring) left practice Friday, July 29, with a hamstring injury that will require an MRI.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore has ample competition to stave off, and this will only compound it. He's merely a watch-list player for now.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore limited in OTAs

Fri, 03 Jun 2016 16:20:39 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (shoulders) ran routes and did individual work during the first week of organized team activities. He didn't do full-team drills. He also dropped 15 pounds in the offseason and is in camp at 260 pounds.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore will have to battle Benjamin Watson, Maxx Williams and whatever is left of Dennis Pitta for the starting job. He's a watch-list player until he beats them out.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore won't need surgery

Tue, 22 Mar 2016 11:29:44 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (shoulders) will not need surgery for torn labrums in both of his shoulders as was previously speculated. Gillmore already had surgery on one torn labrum. He should be ready for the start of the regular season and could even return for the start of organized team activities this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: Even when he is healthy, Gillmore will still be playing behind newly acquired TE Benjamin Watson. Watson is the tight end to own in Baltimore, but Gillmore and Maxx Williams will cut into some of his playing time, too. It might be a bit risky to draft Watson as your starting fantasy tight end.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore should be ready

Sat, 12 Mar 2016 10:41:11 -0800

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (shoulders) should be ready for the start of training camp barring any setbacks, according to general manager Ozzie Newsome.

Fantasy Tip: Benjamin Watson is the main man at the tight end position now in Baltimore. The Ravens could ease in Gillmore at the start of the season, but he won't be much of a fantasy factor with Watson in town. Maxx Williams will also eat into some of Watson's playing time, and Watson should no longer be considered a TE1 with his exit out of New Orleans.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore to IR

Mon, 21 Dec 2015 13:53:29 -0800

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (back) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Monday, Dec. 21. Free-agent LB Chris Carter (Bengals) was signed in a corresponding move.

Fantasy Tip: Maxx Williams is the Ravens primary tight end with Gillmore done for the year. Williams caught five of his six targets in Week 15 for 31 yards. But with Baltimore's quarterback situation in dire straights -- Jimmy Clausen started against the Kansas City Chiefs -- Williams shouldn't be relied on anywhere.

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (back) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 18, and has been ruled out for the Week 15 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fantasy Tip: Maxx Williams ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) should see a majority of the snaps at tight end against the Chiefs. Williams has been kept off the stat sheet in the last two games and should not be a starting option in most leagues.

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (back) is out of practice Thursday, Dec. 17.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore out of practice

Wed, 16 Dec 2015 10:46:56 -0800

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (back) is out of practice Wednesday, Dec. 16.

Fantasy Tip: It was reported earlier he's likely done for the season. Maxx Williams ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) will likely take the majority of the snaps at tight end. He hasn't caught a pass in nearly a month and isn't a great streamer option against the Kansas City Chiefs on FantasyScore this week.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore inactive Sunday

Sun, 13 Dec 2015 08:37:12 -0800

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (back) will not play in Week 14's game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) had been listed as doubtful on the injury report and was unable to practice all week. Maxx Williams ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) can be viewed as a sleeper pick in FantasyScore, given the Seahawks' struggles against tight ends this year.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore, Marlon Brown doubtful

Fri, 11 Dec 2015 14:15:07 -0800

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (back) and WR Marlon Brown (back) are both doubtful for Week 14 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Fantasy Tip: The Ravens have been decimated by injuries this year and are a mess on offense. Javorious Allen ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) is really the only fantasy asset worth considering on FantasyScore. Maxx Williams ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) is a deep sleeper with the Seahawks struggling against tight ends this year, but even he has been on the injury report this week.

Ravens | Matt Schaub, Crockett Gillmore absent

Thu, 10 Dec 2015 16:24:38 -0800

Baltimore Ravens QB Matt Schaub (shoulder, knee) and TE Crockett Gillmore (back) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 10.

Fantasy Tip: Both of these guys will need to be monitored heading into the weekend, but the whole Ravens' offense could have a rough day against the Seattle Seahawks. It's better to avoid Schaub ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) and Gillmore ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) even if they do play.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore misses practice

Wed, 09 Dec 2015 17:19:45 -0800

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (back) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 9.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore's ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) status for the Week 14 game against the Seattle Seahawks, so owners will need to continue to keep an eye on him. Owners probably should look for other options to use because of his uncertain status.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore, Maxx Williams could play

Mon, 07 Dec 2015 13:30:49 -0800

Baltimore Ravens TEs Crockett Gillmore (back) and Maxx Williams (concussion) have a really good chance to play against the Seattle Seahawks this week, according to head coach John Harbaugh.

Fantasy Tip: As long as Matt Schaub is quarterback, there's not a lot of promise for these tight ends, but Gillmore has more upside if both play.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore out

Sun, 06 Dec 2015 11:14:43 -0800

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (back) is out for the rest of the game against the Miami Dolphins.

Fantasy Tip: With Gillmore out, Nick Boyle should take over primary tight end duties. He may be a nice sleeper next week if Gillmore is still sidelined.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore, Kyle Juszcyzk quieted

Mon, 30 Nov 2015 21:54:55 -0800

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore had just three grabs for 20 yards in the Week 12 game against the Cleveland Browns Monday, Nov. 30, and FB Kyle Juszczyk managed two grabs for 18 yards. Both players were targeted four times.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore and Juszczyk were expected to see a few more touches with Matt Schaub looking to dump the ball off more in his first start, but the veteran actually threw more downfield than anticipated. Neither Gillmore nor Juszczyk are particularly attractive from a fantasy perspective heading into Week 13 in Miami.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore hits century mark

Sun, 22 Nov 2015 16:02:42 -0800

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore posted five receptions for 101 yards in the Week 11 game against the St. Louis Rams. He was targeted eight times.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore had jelled nicely with Joe Flacco this season, but that's out the window now with the Ravens turning to Matt Schaub for the starting quarterback duties. The quarterback chance is likely to crush Gillmore's fantasy appeal.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore probable to go

Fri, 13 Nov 2015 10:58:45 -0800

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (shoulder) practiced Friday, Nov. 13, and is probable for Week 10.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) faces a Jacksonville Jaguars team that has been one of the best against TEs the last five weeks. He's averaging 8.4 points on FantasyScore over the last four weeks, and he's not a bad flyer for the price considering the lack of options in Baltimore.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore fully practices

Thu, 12 Nov 2015 16:24:46 -0800

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (shoulder) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 12.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) recorded only eight receiving yards in the last game but did catch a touchdown. Gillmore has posted decent numbers this season, but owners probably will be able to find better options to use in their lineups.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore does some drills

Wed, 11 Nov 2015 14:56:45 -0800

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (shoulder) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 11.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) should be able to play this weekend unless he suffers a setback. With Steve Smith lost for the year, Gillmore's fantasy value is on the rise as one of Joe Flacco's more trusted aerial targets, but he remains more of a sleeper at tight end in daily games in the right matchups.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore exits with arm injury

Sun, 01 Nov 2015 18:32:34 -0800

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (arm) exited against the San Diego Chargers in Week 8 with an arm injury.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) has been Baltimore's best option at tight end this year, and if he misses time, rookie Maxx Williams ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) could have a chance to make some noise. With Steve Smith going down for the year, the Ravens will be looking for someone to step up in the passing game.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore totals five catches

Mon, 26 Oct 2015 22:17:27 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore posted five receptions for 53 yards in the Week 7 game against the Arizona Cardinals Monday, Oct. 26.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) is a decent low-end FantasyScore option, as he has three or more receptions in four straight games with 40 or more yards in three of those outings.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore questionable

Fri, 16 Oct 2015 15:29:59 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (calf) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 16, and is listed as questionable for the Week 6 game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) was able to practice all week and should be on track to play in Week 6. Gillmore has not played in a few weeks, so he may be a little rusty if he is active. Owners may want to look at other options to use at the position.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore practices Thursday

Thu, 15 Oct 2015 10:58:54 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (calf) practiced again Thursday, Oct. 15.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) has a decent draw against the San Francisco 49ers and is worth consideration for a cheap grab on FantasyScore.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore listed as limited

Wed, 14 Oct 2015 17:13:12 -0700

Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (calf) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Owners should know more about Gillmore's ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) status later in the week. Gillmore has played well in some games this season and could be a cheaper tight end option for owners to consider if he is active.

Wed, 14 Oct 2015 10:52:03 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (calf) looked 100% running routes Wednesday, Oct. 14, and appears ready to return to face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) could be a cost-efficient tight end on FantasyScore with his offense needing healthy receivers.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore could return

Tue, 13 Oct 2015 06:05:14 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (calf) moved around well in pre-game workouts in Week 5, and he could return for Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) could be worth the FantasyScore flyer with so many injuries to Baltimore's skill-position players.

Fri, 09 Oct 2015 12:16:59 -0700

Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (calf) has been ruled out for the Week 5 game against the Cleveland Browns.

Fantasy Tip: Maxx Williams ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) should receive the start at tight end with Gillmore out of the lineup. Williams has recorded only 84 yards over the first four games of the season and probably is not the best option for owners.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore sits out Friday

Fri, 09 Oct 2015 08:52:37 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (calf) is out of practice Friday, Oct. 9.

Fantasy Tip: It doesn't look good for him this weekend, and Maxx Williams ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) could be a one-week play on FantasyScore against the Cleveland Browns.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore sits out

Thu, 08 Oct 2015 12:49:58 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (calf) missed practice again Thursday, Oct. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) has a chance to return this weekend against the Cleveland Browns, but he'll likely be questionable, making him a risky daily click. Maxx Williams ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) has sleeper potential in Week 5 if Gillmore sits again.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore not on the field

Wed, 07 Oct 2015 13:24:54 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (calf) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will have to check on Gillmore's ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) status later in the week to see if he will be able to play in Week 5 against the Cleveland Browns. Gillmore has played well in the first part of the season but would be a risky option since he is returning from injury.

Mon, 05 Oct 2015 14:53:40 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (calf) has a chance to play in the Week 5 game against the Cleveland Browns, according to head coach John Harbaugh.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore missed the last game because of the injury but has received a few extra days of rest since the team played Thursday, Oct. 1. Owners should monitor his practice participation to receive a better idea of his status.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore out for Week 4

Wed, 30 Sep 2015 11:34:16 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (calf) has been ruled out for Week 4.

Fantasy Tip: Maxx Williams ($2,200, 4.4% of cap) was targeted seven times last week by Joe Flacco, and with Gillmore out, he should have an even bigger role against a Pittsburgh Steelers defense that is inexperienced. Consider Williams a deep sleeper at tight end only in daily games like FantasyScore.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore unlikely to play

Tue, 29 Sep 2015 20:16:50 -0700

Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (calf) is not expected to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4 Thursday, Oct. 1, according to offensive coordinator Marc Trestman. "With Crockett being out…we expect (our young tight ends) to step up and play well for us," Trestman said.

Fantasy Tip: If Gillmore ($3,400, 6.8% of cap) is sidelined look for Maxx Williams ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) and Nick Boyle ($1,700, 3.4% of cap) to move up the depth chart.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore sits out again

Tue, 29 Sep 2015 16:27:32 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (calf) did not practice for a second straight day Tuesday, Sept. 29.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) may not be able to play Thursday since the Ravens are on a short week. He'll need to be monitored the next couple days. If he is ruled out, Maxx Williams ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) will have some appeal on FantasyScore.

Ravens | No practice for Crockett Gillmore

Mon, 28 Sep 2015 17:29:14 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore (calf) did not practice Monday, Sept. 28, due to a calf injury.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) is a question mark for Thursday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. If he cannot go it would likely be Maxx Williams ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) or Nick Boyle ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) forced into a bigger role.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore scores twice

Sun, 20 Sep 2015 19:28:50 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore had five catches for 88 yards and two touchdowns in a 37-33 loss to the Oakland Raiders in Week 2.

Fantasy Tip: Gilmore ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) was an afterthought in Week 1, but he was much more involved Sunday. He can't be counted on for this type of production on a regular basis, but he is the best option the Ravens have at tight end right now, so he isn't the worst low-priced flier at the position at FantasyScore.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore lauded by HC

Sat, 12 Sep 2015 10:45:58 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore blocks well but is good in the passing game as well, according to head coach John Harbaugh. "People want to label him as a blocker;" Harbaugh said. "He's a very good blocker, but he has a chance as a pass receiver, too."

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore will be the Ravens' starting tight end this year, at least for the beginning of the season. He's more of a matchup play with Maxx Williams also involved. Plus, we don't know if/when Dennis Pitta will return. Gillmore ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) is one of the cheaper starting tight ends on FantasyScore. He's not a bad investment this week, especially if you want to spend more at other positions.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore listed as starter

Thu, 06 Aug 2015 16:40:32 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore is listed with the starters on the Ravens' first official depth chart.

Fantasy Tip: It makes sense that Gillmore is listed as the starting tight end. TE Dennis Pitta is recovering from hip surgery and may miss some time or not play at all. Rookie TE Maxx Williams should see his fair share of playing time, but he probably won't produce a lot right away. Gillmore is in TE2 territory for now.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore has bulked up

Tue, 28 Jul 2015 22:47:30 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore has bulked up to 275 pounds during the offseason, but has maintained his speed. He is considered the favorite to start. While his strength is blocking, he has good hands, too.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore will have rookie Maxx Williams breathing down his neck for touches in the passing game, but to start Gillmore should be the primary option. He isn't quite Top 15 at his position in terms of fantasy appeal, so he'll go mostly undrafted in standard leagues. However, he could emerge as a bye-week replacement or waiver wire add if he gets off to a good start.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore has improved hands

Mon, 20 Jul 2015 13:14:59 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore has improved catching the football this offseason. He has shown strong hands and supposedly has hardly let the ball hit the ground.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore will primarily compete with rookie Maxx Williams for the starting tight end position. Someone needs to step in and take the place of Owen Daniels, who left for the Denver Broncos. Both still have much to prove, so only draft them as backup fantasy tight ends.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore top choice to start

Wed, 08 Jul 2015 09:14:48 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore appears to be the most likely candidate to start at tight end this season since he is the closest thing the team has to a two-way tight end.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore had a strong showing during offseason workouts but will have to compete with Maxx Williams for the starting job. Gillmore was limited to 121 yards and one touchdown last season and probably would not be more than a No. 2 tight end in fantasy leagues if he wins the job.

Ravens | Crockett Gillmore has solid offseason

Wed, 24 Jun 2015 13:40:39 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore showed an improved ability to catch passes in traffic this offseason and was one of the surprises during the offseason workouts. He is expected to compete for the starting tight end job during training camp.

Fantasy Tip: Gillmore recorded only 10 receptions last season for 121 yards and one touchdown in 15 games. Gillmore has a chance to join the starting lineup this season but probably is not more than a No. 2 tight end on fantasy teams at this point.

Ravens | Big expectations for Crockett Gillmore

Mon, 06 Apr 2015 22:10:42 -0700

Baltimore Ravens TE Crockett Gillmore was solid in his rookie season as a No. 2 tight end most of the year, and team owner Steve Bisciotti feels Gillmore could take a big step forward. "When you have a guy like a Jason Witten who loves to block - doesn't just do it because he's being made to do it - and can get off the line of scrimmage, that can be a great weapon. I really would expect 30-40 balls to Crockett this year," Bisciotti said.

Fantasy Tip: A lot of Gillmore's fantasy outlook is tied to whether or not Dennis Pitta can return from a second hip dislocation. Initially, Gillmore isn't worth drafting in seasonal leagues, but he could be a sneaky play in FantasyScore at a low salary.

Ravens | Dennis Pitta's status in question

Thu, 05 Feb 2015 07:41:32 -0800

Baltimore Ravens TE Dennis Pitta (hip) is a question mark entering the 2015 season, and head coach John Harbaugh was noncommittal about Pitta's status a couple of weeks ago. The team will likely address the situation in the offseason because TE Crockett Gillmore is the only other tight end under contract.

Fantasy Tip: Pitta is immensely talented, but he has had two major hip injuries. He's likely to be available for a late-TE2 flyer in traditional drafts.
