Titans | Dorial Green-Beckham not in best shape

Thu, 21 Jul 2016 15:16:34 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Dorial Green-Beckham needs to be in better shape when training camp commences, even after losing some weight last season.

Fantasy Tip: DGB has high expectations in his second season in the NFL. If he meets them, he could finish as the Titans' top wide receiver in WR3 territory. Delanie Walker, Rishard Matthews and Kendall Wright could hinder his full potential, though.

Titans | Dorial Green-Beckham has been studying

Wed, 29 Jun 2016 12:12:22 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Dorial Green-Beckham said he's been studying his playbook a lot this offseason and furthering his knowledge on what his assignments are. Head coach Mike Mularkey said Green-Beckham has improved this offseason, but he wants to see more in order for the young receiver to reach his full potential.

Fantasy Tip: DGB has the size and talent to break out this year. He could open the season as the Titans' No. 1 wide receiver, but Rishard Matthews and Kendall Wright could limit his ceiling. Still, Green-Beckham is worth a look as a low-end WR2 or high-end WR3.

Titans | Dorial Green-Beckham optimistic

Fri, 24 Jun 2016 13:20:29 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Dorial Green-Beckham said he is happy with how he performed during offseason workouts and expects to be more productive in 2016 because he is more comfortable.

Fantasy Tip: Green-Beckham lost some snaps with the first-team offense during offseason workouts but should have a solid role in the passing game. He could be a middle- to late-round option in most leagues depending on his role.

Titans | Dorial Green-Beckham still a project

Thu, 16 Jun 2016 10:47:53 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Dorial Green-Beckham remains somewhat of a project at the NFL level after he was thrown out of Missouri in college and went to Oklahoma but didn't play in 2014. Wide receivers coach Bob Bratkowski thinks the time off hurt Green-Beckham's game and caused him to develop at a slower pace. Green-Beckham was picked by the former Titans regime under general manager Ruston Webster, and new general manager Jon Robinson has said before that he's not particularly interested in projects. For now, Bratkowski said things are trending in the right direction for Green-Beckham.

Fantasy Tip: Green-Beckham's size (6-5, 237 pounds) is a big advantage in the NFL, he just needs to put it all together to take his game to the next level. As a rookie he caught only 32 passes for 549 yards and four touchdowns in 16 games. It's not a good sign that he's already been passed on the depth chart by Tajae Sharpe. However, Tennessee's offense should take a step forward in 2016, and DGB could reap the benefits. He's a risky midround selection, but he has WR2 upside.

Titans | Tajae Sharpe passes Green-Beckham

Tue, 14 Jun 2016 23:39:07 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Tajae Sharpe has passed WR Dorial Green-Beckham and WR Justin Hunter on the depth chart as Sharpe worked with the first-team in practice Tuesday, June 14.

Fantasy Tip: Sharpe is in the lead for the third receiver spot, but the designation speaks more to the disappointment that DGB has been. Sharpe is a WR5 flyer in fantasy and someone to keep an eye on in camp. Green-Beckham remains a high-risk, high-reward target on draft day.

Titans | Dorial Green-Beckham still has to improve

Wed, 01 Jun 2016 13:44:03 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Dorial Green-Beckham needs to play faster and not think as much, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Fantasy Tip: DGB showed promise in his rookie season last year, but there's still some room for growth, as Mularkey indicated. That being said, he could take the reins as the Titans' best wide receiver in 2016, although Kendall Wright, Rishard Matthews and Delanie Walker will still see their fair share of targets. As of now, it's best to draft DGB as a WR4 with WR3 upside.

Titans | Dorial Green-Beckham must earn job

Tue, 31 May 2016 10:50:02 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Dorial Green-Beckham must earn a starting role in 2016, according to head coach Mike Mularkey. "How effective is he out here, first? And then we get into these preseason games, see how much we can load him up. We also know we've got some other options too that will be competing with him. So it's not a for sure he's lining up at 'X' for us on opening Sunday. They've got to earn it." Last week was Green-Beckham's first "full go" week while dealing with a hamstring problem that has been a problem for years.

Fantasy Tip: DGB managed to fight through his hamstring ailment in his rookie season, and he played 16 games while catching 32 passes for 549 yards and four touchdowns. He's a freak athlete but remains a work in progress in the NFL. Going into his sophomore season, though, he should improve with Marcus Mariota under center behind a solid offensive line. DGB should be selected as a WR2 in fantasy drafts.

Titans | Dorial Green-Beckham lauded by Mariota

Wed, 25 May 2016 16:30:37 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Dorial Green-Beckham impressed QB Marcus Mariota at organized team activities Tuesday, May 25. Mariota called Green-Beckham a stud and said he's gifted physically. "Hopefully we can find ways to get him the football and let him do this thing," Mariota said.

Head coach Mike Mularkey said a bigger role for Green-Beckham hinges on his grasp of the playbook after the second-year receiver struggled with route-running last year. "I think he knows that's a point of emphasis for him," Mularkey said. "He'll have a lot to say on whether he's that guy or not."

Fantasy Tip: Green-Beckham may be one of the more promising young receivers in the NFL heading into the 2016 season. He'll still have guys like Delanie Walker, Kendall Wright and Rishard Matthews taking away targets, but DGB still has WR3 upside.

Titans | Dorial Green-Beckham dealing with injury

Fri, 13 May 2016 14:01:36 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Dorial Green-Beckham (hamstring) has been limited by a hamstring injury this offseason, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Fantasy Tip: Green-Beckham dealt with hamstring injuries last offseason but has a few months to recover before the start of training camp. He recorded 549 yards and four touchdowns in 2015 and should be a middle- to late-round option in fantasy leagues since he should have a bigger role in the passing game.

Titans | Dorial Green-Beckham a top receiver?

Sun, 27 Mar 2016 16:31:39 -0700

Tennessee Titans WR Dorial Green-Beckham said he views himself as a No. 1 receiver. He also said he has been talking to QB Marcus Mariota and plans to do some informal work with Mariota before the official offseason programs begin April 18.

Fantasy Tip: Green-Beckham has the physical tools to be a dominant receiver, but he is purely an upside pick at this point. Draft him as a WR4 and hope he starts to realize his potential.
