Marlins | Justin Bour hitting cleanup

Tue, 30 Jun 2015 14:24:10 -0700

Miami Marlins 1B Justin Bour is hitting cleanup against San Francisco Giants SP Ryan Vogelsong Tuesday, June 30.

Fantasy Tip: Bour ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) has cooled off lately, but he does have all six of his home runs this year off of right-handed pitchers and a .265 average (30-for-113). Unfortunately, only one of his homers has come at home in pitcher-friendly Marlins Park. Regardless, he's a sleeper value play tonight against Vogelsong, and he could be losing much of his value soon with Michael Morse coming off the DL sometime this week.

Marlins | Justin Bour sitting

Wed, 24 Jun 2015 11:36:01 -0700

Miami Marlins 1B Justin Bour is not in the starting lineup Wednesday, June 24. 1B Jeff Baker is starting at first base and hitting third against St. Louis Cardinals SP Jaime Garcia.

Fantasy Tip: Having Giancarlo Stanton protect you in the lineup can never be a bad thing, but Baker ($2,700, 5.4% of cap) should never turn heads in daily contests, even when hitting in the heart of the order. He's a deep sleeper candidate, at best, against Garcia and the Red Birds.

Marlins | Justin Bour not in the lineup

Sun, 14 Jun 2015 09:18:37 -0700

Miami Marlins 1B Justin Bour is not in the starting lineup against Colorado Rockies SP Jorge De La Rosa Sunday, June 14. 1B Jeff Baker will be the starting first baseman and is batting sixth in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Bour ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) likely is sitting since the team is facing a left-handed pitcher. Baker ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) has gone only 4-for-20 at the plate this month but also has two home runs and four RBI over that span. Baker could be an option for owners desperate to save some money at the position.

Marlins | Justin Bour out of the lineup

Thu, 11 Jun 2015 14:01:01 -0700

Miami Marlins 1B Justin Bour is not in the starting lineup Thursday, June 11. 1B Jeff Baker is batting sixth and playing first base against Colorado Rockies SP Chris Rusin Thursday.

Fantasy Tip: Bour ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) is in a 1-for-21 slump with a .130 on-base percentage over his past six games, so a night off makes sense. Baker ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is a sneaky daily games option Monday, as he has a career .299/.353/.513 slash line against southpaws. Although, at first base, you may want to aim higher.

Marlins | Justin Bour out of lineup

Tue, 09 Jun 2015 14:20:19 -0700

Miami Marlins 1B Justin Bour is not in the starting lineup Tuesday, June 9. 1B Jeff Baker is starting at first base and hitting cleanup against Toronto Blue Jays SP Mark Buehrle.

Fantasy Tip: Baker ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is a curious choice for the cleanup spot for the Fish, and we don't recommend using him on FantasyScore, even though he's 6-for-14 with a home run and RBI in his career against Buehrle.

Marlins | Justin Bour back in lineup Sunday

Sun, 07 Jun 2015 11:41:29 -0700

Miami Marlins 1B Justin Bour is back in the starting lineup against the Colorado Rockies Sunday, June 7.

Fantasy Tip: Bour ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) was out of the lineup because the team was facing a left-handed pitcher Saturday, June 6. He is batting .329 with five home runs through 32 games and is hitting .448 on the road this season. FantasyScore owners looking for cap relief may want to consider Bour, especially given that he's playing in hitter-friendly Denver this afternoon.

Marlins | Justin Bour not starting Saturday

Sat, 06 Jun 2015 12:03:20 -0700

Miami Marlins 1B Justin Bour is not in the starting lineup against the Colorado Rockies Saturday, June 6. INF Jeff Baker will play first base and bat cleanup.

Fantasy Tip: Bour ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) is getting the day off because the Fish are facing left-handed SP Chris Rusin this afternoon. Remove Bour from all fantasy lineups. Baker ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is hitting .265 with two home runs and four RBIs in 34 at-bats this season.

Marlins | Justin Bour will not start

Wed, 03 Jun 2015 13:06:54 -0700

Miami Marlins 1B Justin Bour is not in the starting lineup Wednesday, June 3. 1B Jeff Baker will take his place in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Bour ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) probably is receiving a day off and should return soon. Baker ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) has posted decent numbers in his limited playing time this season, but owners on FantasyScore should be able to find better options.

Marlins | Justin Bour continues to produce

Fri, 29 May 2015 19:30:48 -0700

Miami Marlins 1B Justin Bour went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in a 4-3 win over the New York Mets Friday, May 29, and he is hitting .361 with four home runs since being called up April 24.

Fantasy Tip: Bour ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) has homered in back-to-back games, and he is starting on a regular basis. He is an emerging source of cap relief at FantasyScore.

Marlins | Justin Bour in cleanup spot

Wed, 27 May 2015 09:22:29 -0700

Miami Marlins 1B Justin Bour is hitting cleanup against Pittsburgh Pirates SP Gerrit Cole Wednesday, May 27.

Fantasy Tip: Bour ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) should be avoided in daily games such as FantasyScore. Sure, he's hitting .358 (19-for-53) with two home runs in five RBI, but it's a small sample size, and he's going up against one of the more dominant young pitchers in the game today in Cole.
