Eagles | Jay Ajayi rips off one long run

Sun, 19 Nov 2017 20:58:56 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jay Ajayi rushed seven times for 91 yards in Week 11 against the Dallas Cowboys with the highlight of the night a 71-yard run.

Fantasy Tip: Ajayi was caught from behind on the long run, but showed his elusiveness and big-play ability on the scamper. He'll look to keep it rolling in Week 12 against the Bears, and he remains a solid low-end RB2 or flex option in most fantasy formats.

Eagles | More touches for Jay Ajayi?

Tue, 14 Nov 2017 11:56:12 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jay Ajayi is expected to receive a bigger workload going forward. Offensive coordinator Fran Reich believes that, with two weeks to study the playbook, Ajayi is prepared for anything and everything. "He's able to handle everything that we give him at this point," Reich said. "When I look at our game plan for this week, I look at and there's probably not a play on there that I wouldn't feel comfortable putting his number on."

Fantasy Tip: Ajayi impressed quickly in his first game with his new team in Week 9, scampering for 77 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. He'll be splitting playing time with LeGarrette Blount and others, but Ajayi is a reasonable RB2 consideration.

Eagles | Jay Ajayi debuts with 77 yards, TD

Sun, 05 Nov 2017 18:03:11 -0800

Philadelphia Eagles RB Jay Ajayi rushed eight times for 77 yards and a touchdown in the Week 9 game against the Denver Broncos.

Fantasy Tip: It was an impressive debut for Ajayi considering he had just a crash course on the playbook after being acquired mid-week. It was his first rushing score of the season after being blanked in Miami. The team is off in Week 10.

Eagles | Jay Ajayi active for Week 9

Sun, 05 Nov 2017 05:17:05 -0800

Updating a previous report, Philadelphia Eagles RB Jay Ajayi will play in Week 9's game against the Denver Broncos, although his role in the offense will be limited.

Fantasy Tip: LeGarrette Blount will receive the bulk of the carries for the Eagles this afternoon, with Wendell Smallwood continuing to be used in a pass-catching role. The team has a bye in Week 10, so expect Ajayi's role with the team to increase as he learns more of the playbook. However, Ajayi is not a great fantasy option for this week's game.

Eagles | Jay Ajayi might not play Sunday

Sat, 04 Nov 2017 06:52:26 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said he hasn't decided if RB Jay Ajayi will play in Week 9's game against the Denver Broncos. Ajayi has only been given a limited portion of the playbook, featuring just "10 to 15 plays" to focus on for now.

Fantasy Tip: The Eagles have a bye in Week 10, so the team could use the next two weeks to give Ajayi an opportunity to get up to speed on the playbook. Even if he is active for Sunday's game, LeGarrette Blount will remain the clear No. 1 back for Philadelphia, so Ajayi should be held out of fantasy starting lineups until after the bye.

Eagles | LeGarrette Blount to remain the starter?

Tue, 31 Oct 2017 10:58:28 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeGarrette Blount will remain the starting running back despite the addition of Jay Ajayi, according to vice president of football operations Howie Roseman.

Fantasy Tip: Common sense would suggest this is a temporary stance while Ajayi learns the playbook, as the Eagles did not spend a fourth-round pick to upgrade the position only to sit him behind what they already had. Ajayi may not reach the fantasy heights he achieved with the Miami Dolphins last year, but his new situation is much better from a fantasy perspective than the one he is leaving this year. Owners should probably bench Ajayi this week and be ready to start him again following the team's Week 10 bye.

Dolphins | Miami trades away Jay Ajayi

Tue, 31 Oct 2017 06:48:57 -0700

The Miami Dolphins traded RB Jay Ajayi to the Philadelphia Eagles for a 2018 fourth-round pick, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Ajayi was clashing with the coaching staff and was sent packing. The Dolphins are likely to turn it over to a combination of RBs Damien Williams and Kenyan Drake. The latter has more appeal in PPR formats, while Williams is a better option around the goal line.

Eagles | Jay Ajayi acquired by Philly

Tue, 31 Oct 2017 06:35:05 -0700

The Philadelphia Eagles have acquired RB Jay Ajayi from the Miami Dolphins for a fourth-round draft pick, according to a team source.

Fantasy Tip: Ajayi has been a huge disappointment in Miami this season with no rushing touchdowns. This is an chance for the rusher to regain some of his lost luster. He's a low-end RB2 or decent flex play, with the Eagles likely to move past LeGarrette Blount at this point.

Dolphins | Jay Ajayi can't find end zone

Fri, 27 Oct 2017 19:19:02 -0700

Miami Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi has not rushed for a touchdown this season, and the Dolphins have gone a franchise-record eight straight games without a rushing score dating back to last season.

Fantasy Tip: Miami's offense has been a mess this year, and Ajayi has been one of the biggest disappointments. He will be low-upside flex play against the Oakland Raiders in Week 9.

Dolphins | Jay Ajayi bottled up

Thu, 26 Oct 2017 20:45:02 -0700

Miami Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi rushed 13 times for 23 yards and caught four passes for 18 yards in a 40-0 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 8.

Fantasy Tip: It is becoming a familiar theme for Ajayi, who couldn't find any running room against a Baltimore defense that has struggled against the run. He was expected to be a RB1 this year, but at this point, he is merely a flex play.
