Dolphins | Questionable tag for Jay Ajayi

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 12:07:49 -0700

Miami Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 22, but is listed as questionable for Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Ajayi may not be fully healthy but likely will be in uniform against the New York Jets. He is coming off a terrific Week 2 performance and should receive a lot of carries this week. He can be considered a No. 1 running back in all fantasy leagues.

Dolphins | Jay Ajayi a question mark?

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 11:23:48 -0700

Miami Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi (knee) was back at practice Friday, Sept. 22, after sitting out the previous two days with a knee injury. Although he is expected to play in Week 3 against the New York Jets, Ajayi had a black sleeve on his right leg and "seemed to have a slight hitch when running," according to the Miami Herald's Adam Beasley.

Fantasy Tip: Ajayi famously fell in the 2015 NFL Draft due to concerns over the cartilage in his knee, so owners always need to be on a bit of high alert when it comes to leg "issues" with him. For now, Ajayi should be considered a RB1 in fantasy. With that said, his owners would be wise to make room for Damien Williams, who is less injury-prone than fellow backup Kenyan Drake and better suited to hold up long-term should Ajayi be forced to miss time.

Dolphins | Jay Ajayi will be taken care of

Thu, 21 Sep 2017 20:40:58 -0700

Miami Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi is a "hard guy to take out of the game," according to head coach Adam Gase, but Gase said Ajayi wil be rested when needed during the week to make sure he is ready for the next game.

Fantasy Tip: While Ajayi won't receive 28 carries every week, it sounds like Miami will try to limit his workload during practice rather than during games. He is a high-end RB1 heading into a Week 3 matchup against a Jets defense that has been gashed by the run this year.

Dolphins | Jay Ajayi should play Week 3

Thu, 21 Sep 2017 11:10:54 -0700

Miami Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi (knee) likely will be active for the team's Week 3 game even though he is not participating in practice Thursday, Sept. 21, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Ajayi received 28 carries in Week 2, so he is probably just resting his knee in order to prepare for Week 3. The New York Jets have allowed an NFL-worst 370 rushing yards in the first two games of the season, which makes Ajayi a No. 1 running back in all fantasy leagues.

Fantasy Tip: That's good news for owners of the RB1. He has a good matchup against the New York Jets this week.

Miami Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi (knee) was unable to practice Wednesday, Sept. 20, due to a knee ailment.

Miami Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi finished with 28 carries for 122 yards and two catches for four yards in a 19-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2.
