Bears | Kevin White's option not exercised

Wed, 02 May 2018 11:24:50 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White's fifth-year option will not be picked up, according to a source. White is set to become an unrestricted free agent next offseason.

Fantasy Tip: The Bears have no choice but to decline picking up White's option. He has played in five games over his first two seasons and is much too big of a risk to retain. For fantasy purposes, he is a late-round flier as Chicago's No. 2 wide receiver.

Bears | Kevin White at minicamp

Wed, 18 Apr 2018 13:31:47 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (shoulder) is participating in minicamp this week as he continues in his recovery from a broken shoulder blade last year. Head coach Matt Nagy said White has looked sharp and healthy so far.

Fantasy Tip: There is a lot of pressure on White this season to stay healthy after playing in just five games over his first two years. Because of that extensive injury history, he is no more than a late-round dart throw.

Bears | Chicago won't give up on Kevin White

Sat, 31 Mar 2018 19:54:00 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White will have "every opportunity to succeed," according to head coach Matt Nagy.

Fantasy Tip: White hasn't been able to stay healthy, and he has been a colossal bust up to this point. Feel free to make him a late-round lottery ticket, but don't count on White helping fantasy teams in 2018.

Bears | Kevin White fighting his way back

Wed, 07 Mar 2018 10:43:55 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (shoulder) has been working hard to recover from a broken shoulder blade he suffered last season, according to QB Mitchell Trubisky. White has been working out with Trubisky in California this week.

Fantasy Tip: Trubisky and White have not played together yet in a real game. Injuries have plagued White's young career but he appears to be in good shape and looks to be ready to go for another offseason. Hard work and hope are good and all, but White's injury history makes him too big of a risk to draft as more than a late-round flier.

Thu, 30 Nov 2017 09:29:56 -0800

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (collarbone) will remain on the Reserve/Injured list the rest of the season.

Bears | Kevin White will be placed on IR

Mon, 11 Sep 2017 11:32:57 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (scapula) will be placed on the Reserve/Injured list after fracturing his scapula in Week 1, according to head coach John Fox. Surgery is a possibility.

Fantasy Tip: The likes of Kendall Wright, Deonte Thompson and Zach Miller will benefit the most from White's demise. Rookie running back Tarik Cohen should also continue to see his fair share of carries. All the aforementioned names are worth adding off waiver wires, especially for White owners.

Bears | Kevin White likely done for season

Sun, 10 Sep 2017 17:28:35 -0700

Updating a previous report, Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (collarbone) is believed to have suffered a broken collarbone in Week 1 against the Falcons and he will need season-ending surgery, sources said Sunday, Sept. 10.

Fantasy Tip: That's terrible news for White, who has a ton of talent. However, he has been unable to stay on the field for any length of time in his career. The Bears already have Cameron Meredith (knee) on the Reserve/Injured list, so it appears Kendall Wright and Josh Bellamy will be forced into starting roles going forward.

Bears | Kevin White injures shoulder

Sun, 10 Sep 2017 12:47:46 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (shoulder) suffered a shoulder injury in Week 1 and will not return.

Fantasy Tip: White's status likely will be updated in the next day or two, so owners should monitor the situation. Owners should be able to find players on the waiver wire that can replace White if he misses some games.

Bears | Kevin White healthy, expanding his game

Thu, 15 Jun 2017 20:37:22 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (leg, ankle) is practicing at full speed and working on expanding his route tree, and he said he has to show what he can do this season.

Fantasy Tip: Injuries have caused White to miss 28 of his first 32 games, but the former first-round pick could end up being Chicago's No. 1 receiver if he can stay healthy. He is worth the risk as a WR4.
