Texas Rangers 3B Adrian Beltre (quadriceps) didn't agree with the club's decision to put him on the disabled list Sunday, April 13, and he wanted to attempt to play Tuesday, April 15. "You want my honest opinion?" Beltre said. "I did not agree with the decision. It was out of my hands. Obviously the medical staff and the front office thought it was best. It's out of my hands. I have no say over that. I was ready to play tomorrow. But obviously it's not going to happen." Beltre is dealing with a Grade 1 strain of his quadriceps muscle. He will be eligible to return April 25.
Fantasy Tip: The Rangers made the right move most likely with Beltre. The combination of his age and past leg injuries forced their hand. Losing Beltre for longer than two weeks could be crippling to this offense and your fantasy squad.

The Texas Rangers have placed 3B Adrian Beltre (quadriceps) on the disabled list because of a left quadriceps injury. The move is retroactive to Wednesday, April 9. In a corresponding move, RP Hector Noesi has been added to the 25-man roster.
Fantasy Tip: The Rangers are hoping that Beltre will be able to return to action by April 25. In the meantime, 3B Kevin Kouzmanoff will get the bulk of the action at the hot corner. He warrants a look in AL-only and deep mixed fantasy leagues.

Texas Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said the team is leaning toward placing 3B Adrian Beltre (quadriceps) on the 15-day disabled list. Daniels said the team would like him back in the lineup but do not want the injury to become more serious.
Fantasy Tip: Beltre owners should have a backup plan ready because it appears Beltre will be on the sidelines for a few weeks. Joshua Wilson and Kevin Kouzmanoff could play at third base while Beltre is out, but neither is likely more than an AL-only option.

Texas Rangers 1B Prince Fielder will bat cleanup Friday, April 11, in place of 3B Adrian Beltre (quadriceps). Manager Ron Washington said he chose Fielder because he's more comfortable in that slot than Alex Rios is.
Fantasy Tip: This doesn't change either player's overall value that much; they're already fantasy stalwarts. Fielder may get a chance at more RBI for however long Beltre is sidelined.

The Texas Rangers have no plans to place 3B Adrian Beltre (quadriceps) on the disabled list after his MRI exam showed only a Grade 1 left quadriceps strain. Instead, the team will push back SP Colby Lewis' (hip) season debut to Monday, April 14, or Tuesday, April 15, to give them more time to evaluate Beltre.
Fantasy Tip: Beltre isn't out of the woods just yet. If he hasn't improved drastically by Monday or Tuesday, the Rangers can still place him on the DL and backdate the stint. In his absence, some combination of Joshua Wilson and Kevin Kouzmanoff will fill in at the hot corner. If you own Beltre, be fully prepared for the chance that he does go on the shelf.

Texas Rangers 3B Adrian Beltre (quadriceps) is not in the team's starting lineup Wednesday, April 9.
Fantasy Tip: Beltre's injury could require a DL stint. He'll undergo an MRI exam Wednesday, so check back to see what the results are. Joshua Wilson is at third base today, and Donnie Murphy can also fill in there if Beltre requires an extended absence. Both options are only valuable in AL-only leagues.

Updating a previous report, Texas Rangers 3B Adrian Beltre (quadriceps) will fly back to Texas Wednesday, April 9, for an examination on his left quadriceps.
Fantasy Tip: Fantasy owners in daily leagues will obviously want to reserve him immediately. There is no word on how much time he is expected to miss, but he will be sidelined until at least Friday. If he hits the 15-day disabled list, Joshua Wilson is likely to see regular time at third base and is a nice AL-only fantasy addition.

Texas Rangers 3B Adrian Beltre (quadriceps) is leaving the game early Tuesday, April 8, with left quadriceps tightness.
Fantasy Tip: This isn't good news for Beltre, who has a history of lower leg injuries. The Rangers are probably being cautious, but this is something to keep an eye on. If he's forced to miss some time, Donnie Murphy is likely the first candidate to replace Beltre at third.

Texas Rangers 3B Adrian Beltre (quadriceps) will receive three more days off so that he doesn't aggravate a minor quadriceps injury. Beltre left a game late last week with soreness in his quadriceps, and he did some running on the field Monday, March 17. Beltre currently has 23 spring at-bats and would like to receive another 25 to 30 before the regular season begins.
Fantasy Tip: There shouldn't be anything to worry about here. The Rangers are playing it safe to preserve his legs for the long haul.
