Mets | Aramis Ramirez an option for Mets?

Mon, 06 Jul 2015 19:36:17 -0700

The New York Mets might want to take a look at Milwaukee Brewers 3B Aramis Ramirez, who is hitting .383 with three home runs and a 1.115 OPS over his past 53 plate appearances. The team is unlikely to get 3B David Wright (spine) back as a significant contributor, if at all, and the Brewers likely would part ways with Ramirez for a price favorable to the Mets.

Fantasy Tip: Ramirez ($4,500; or 9.0% of cap) has struggled against left-handed pitching, but he is 4-for-11 (.364) with a double and RBI at Citi Field this season, and .344 hitter at Citi Field since the start of the 2012 season.

Brewers | Aramis Ramirez on fire

Mon, 06 Jul 2015 06:57:03 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 3B Aramis Ramirez is 12-for-22 (.545) with a home run and 11 RBI in the last seven days.

Fantasy Tip: A-Ram ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) is at a great price on FantasyScore to capitalize on his hot streak.

Mets | NYM losing interest in Aramis Ramirez

Wed, 01 Jul 2015 18:30:11 -0700

The New York Mets scouted Milwaukee Brewers 3B Aramis Ramirez during a recent interleague series against the Minnesota Twins but were unimpressed with him both offensively and defensively.

Fantasy Tip: The Mets really don't have much of a need for Ramirez ($3,600, 7.2% of cap) now that 3B Daniel Murphy ($3,900, 7.8% of cap) has returned from the disabled list. Ramirez should be avoided in FantasyScore and could wind up losing playing time to Hernan Perez ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) if his struggles continue.

Brewers | Aramis Ramirez sitting out vs. Phillies

Mon, 29 Jun 2015 12:29:59 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 3B Aramis Ramirez is not in the starting lineup Monday, June 29. 2B Hernan Perez is starting at third base and batting eighth against Philadelphia Phillies SP Sean O'Sullivan Monday.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Ramirez ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) in all formats Monday. The veteran is beginning to show the signs of his age and owns a .214/.253/.405 slash line this season. He is nothing more than a deep mixed option and FantasyScore flier. Perez ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) should be viewed as a desperation source of cap relief for daily contests Monday.

Brewers | Aramis Ramirez has day off

Thu, 25 Jun 2015 08:28:31 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 3B Aramis Ramirez is out of the lineup Thursday, June 25, with 3B Hernan Perez filling in.

Fantasy Tip: Perez ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is hitting .381 the last week, but he matches up against Jacob deGrom. He's a roll of the dice, but he'll allow you to load up elsewhere on FantasyScore.

Sun, 21 Jun 2015 11:21:10 -0700

Mets | NYM interested in Aramis Ramirez

Sun, 21 Jun 2015 11:16:20 -0700

The New York Mets have reportedly made inquiries about Milwaukee Brewers 3B Aramis Ramirez.

Fantasy Tip: In what is likely to be the final year of his career, the soon-to-be 37-year-old Ramirez ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) is only batting .220 with eight home runs and 25 RBIs through 57 games. However, a trade to a contender could be the spark needed to turn his season around.

Brewers | Aramis Ramirez out of lineup

Sat, 20 Jun 2015 10:23:00 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 3B Aramis Ramirez is not in the starting lineup against the Colorado Rockies Saturday, June 20. INF Hernan Perez is playing the hot corner and batting seventh.

Fantasy Tip: Thanks to a 3-for-5 performance Friday, June 19, Ramirez ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) is batting .353 against Colorado this season and .208 against everyone else. Despite this, Ramirez will be replaced in the lineup Saturday by Perez ($1,600, 3.2% of cap), who is only batting .150 and is not a great FantasyScore option.

Brewers | Aramis Ramirez on the bench

Sun, 14 Jun 2015 08:13:32 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 3B Aramis Ramirez is not in the starting lineup against Washington Nationals SP Max Scherzer Sunday, June 14. SS Hector Gomez will start at third base and is batting seventh in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Ramirez ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) should be back in the lineup in the next game or two. Gomez ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) has not received a lot of playing time this season and is hitting only .208 this season. Owners on FantasyScore should be able to find better options for their lineups.

Brewers | Aramis Ramirez plates five

Sat, 13 Jun 2015 05:48:02 -0700

Milwaukee Brewers 3B Aramis Ramirez drove in five runs on three doubles during Milwaukee's 8-4 victory over the Washington Nationals Friday, June 12.

Fantasy Tip: The veteran has struggled to gain traction at the dish this season, but over his past five games, Ramirez ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) has gone 7-for-18 with two runs, a home run, eight RBI and a 1.111 OPS. Sure, it is a small sample size, but Ramirez's FantasyScore salary is small, too. In favorable pitching matchups, Ramirez projects as a solid value play hitting in the middle of a potentially potent Milwaukee lineup.
