White Sox | Avisail Garcia, Jimmy Rollins out

Sat, 30 Apr 2016 12:42:37 -0700

Chicago White Sox OF Avisail Garcia and SS Jimmy Rollins are not in the starting lineup against Baltimore Orioles SP Kevin Gausman Saturday, April 30. INF Tyler Saladino will bat second and play shortstop, while OF Jerry Sands will bat seventh and serve as the designated hitter.

Fantasy Tip: Saladino is batting .174 with a home run and three RBI in 24 at-bats, while Sands is 5-for-20 with a home run and three RBI. Both players should be viewed as sources of desperation salary cap relief in daily fantasy games.

White Sox | J-Roll records first AL swipe

Mon, 25 Apr 2016 20:16:46 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Jimmy Rollins went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI Monday, April 25, against the Toronto Blue Jays. He also posted his first-ever American League stolen base.

Fantasy Tip: J-Roll is hitting .268 with the White Sox, and is worth using in most AL-only fantasy leagues and as a salary saver in DFS play.

White Sox | Jimmy Rollins not playing

Sun, 24 Apr 2016 10:30:33 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Jimmy Rollins is not in the starting lineup against Texas Rangers SP Derek Holland Sunday, April 24. SS Tyler Saladino will start at shortstop and is batting second in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Saladino has only one hit in his last 11 at-bats, but the one hit was a home run. Owners in most leagues should be able to find better players to use in their lineups.

White Sox | Three regulars return to ChiSox lineup

Sat, 23 Apr 2016 10:27:55 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Jimmy Rollins, OF Avisail Garcia and C Alex Avila are back in the starting lineup against Texas Rangers SP Colby Lewis Saturday, April 23.

Fantasy Tip: All three players have gotten off to slow starts at the plate, with Rollins hitting .217 and Garcia (.146) and Avila (.185) both batting below the Mendoza Line. They should be avoided in daily fantasy games for the foreseeable future.

White Sox | Avisail Garcia, Jimmy Rollins out

Fri, 22 Apr 2016 14:35:11 -0700

Chicago White Sox OF Avisail Garcia and SS Jimmy Rollins are not in the starting lineup Friday, April 22. OF Jerry Sands is serving as the designated hitter and batting seventh, while SS Tyler Saladino is at the 6 and is hitting ninth against Texas Rangers SP Martin Perez. Also, OF Austin Jackson moves up to the two-hole.

Fantasy Tip: Garcia is losing fantasy appeal very quickly with his .146 start (7-for-48 with two home runs), and he could lose more playing time to Sands. With that said, Sands has plenty of home run pop but has his daily value capped hitting low in the order. Saladino did homer the other day but shouldn't garner much attention in any format. A-Jax has a favorable lineup spot but is hitting only .170 and remains a low-end fantasy commodity.

White Sox | Two White Sox out of the lineup

Wed, 20 Apr 2016 08:31:57 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Jimmy Rollins and OF Avisail Garcia are out of the lineup Wednesday, April 20. SS Tyler Saladino is hitting second, and 1B Jerry Sands is hitting seventh.

Fantasy Tip: Saladino is 3-for-11 (.273) on the season devoid of many counting stats. He and Sands don't carry the clout for a DFS start against Garrett Richards.

White Sox | Jimmy Rollins back in lineup

Mon, 18 Apr 2016 14:19:07 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Jimmy Rollins is back in the club's starting lineup and batting second Monday, April 18, opposite Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim SP Hector Santiago.

Fantasy Tip: He's back in there after receiving the day off on Sunday, but Rollins is really only meant to ponder for deep AL-only leagues. He's produced a poor .216/.231/.351 slash line through nine games thus far in his first year with the White Sox.

White Sox | Three CWS regulars sitting Sunday

Sun, 17 Apr 2016 09:35:21 -0700

Chicago White Sox OF Melky Cabrera, C Alex Avila and SS Jimmy Rollins are out of the starting lineup against the Tampa Bay Rays Sunday, April 17. OF Jerry Sands will bat fifth and serve as the designated hitter, C Dioner Navarro will bat eighth and SS Tyler Saladino will bat ninth.

Fantasy Tip: Saladino and Sands are a combined 5-for-14 at the dish with one home run and four RBI, making them worthy of consideration as inexpensive fliers for daily games. Navarro is 1-for-16 and should be avoided in all formats during this ice-cold stretch.

White Sox | Jimmy Rollins sitting out

Thu, 14 Apr 2016 07:59:48 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Jimmy Rollins is out of the lineup Thursday, April 14, with OF Melky Cabrera sliding up to hit second.

Fantasy Tip: Tyler Saladino is hitting ninth against Ervin Santana, and he's not much of a one-day flyer at shortstop. Cabrera is off to a .300 start and has some DFS upside hitting ahead of Jose Abreu.

White Sox | Jimmy Rollins out of lineup Sunday

Sun, 10 Apr 2016 09:00:03 -0700

Chicago White Sox SS Jimmy Rollins is not in the starting lineup against Cleveland Indians SP Josh Tomlin Sunday, April 10. SS Tyler Saladino will play shortstop and bat ninth.

Fantasy Tip: Rollins, who is 3-for-21 through the first week of the regular season, should be removed from all fantasy lineups. Saladino is 2-for-4 this year and should be viewed as an inexpensive flier option for daily fantasy contests.
