Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford is hitting .420 since Aug. 4. He homered, drove in three runs and scored three times Tuesday, Aug. 19.
Fantasy Tip: He also has five steals in the last week. Pick him up if you need the steals/runs combination.

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford is back in left field over OF Andre Ethier Monday, Aug. 11. Ethier has started only three of the team's last 17 games. However Crawford has hit just .196 during that stretch. "Carl, before he got hurt, was probably swinging the bat better than anyone we had," manager Don Mattingly said. "I feel like Carl's going to get back to that." Mattingly also prefers Crawford's speed and versatility over Ethier. OF Scott Van Slyke has been drawing most of the starts in left field when the team faces a left-hander.
Fantasy Tip: More playing time for Crawford will make him appeal to those in deep mixed leagues, but not if he continues to stink it up at the plate. Crawford definitely is more intriguing because of his speed than Ethier. Ethier should only be owned in NL-only leagues right now.

Los Angeles Dodgers 3B Juan Uribe is not in the starting lineup Wednesday, Aug. 6. 2B Justin Turner is starting in his place. Also, both OFs Carl Crawford and Andre Ethier are starting, with OF Matt Kemp serving as the designated hitter.
Fantasy Tip: Uribe receives a day off after his big night Tuesday. Take him out of your daily lineups if he's in there.

Los Angeles Dodgers SS Hanley Ramirez was claimed/blocked on non-revocable waivers, while OFs Matt Kemp, Andre Ethier and Carl Crawford and SP Josh Beckett cleared waivers.
Fantasy Tip: Relax folks. This doesn't mean Ramirez is being traded soon. The Dodgers now have the right to pull Han-Ram back off waivers and keep him, or work out a trade with the claiming club. It's highly unlikely Los Angeles wants to trade Ramirez.

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford will start in left field against the San Diego Padres Sunday, July 13, with INF Miguel Rojas starting at shortstop. OF Matt Kemp is getting the day off.

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford seems to be fine with serving in a bench role after being activated from the disabled list. "Things have been going well for the team right now and he pretty much said he's going to leave it like it is right now and mix me in wherever he can, so there's not much I can say to that," Crawford said. "Guys have been playing extremely well, they got back into first place. I've just got to be ready for when my number is called and try to stay sharp enough to play well when I do get in." OF Matt Kemp has been the everyday left fielder since May 28, and he's hitting .289 with three home runs and 21 RBIs in 38 games since. Manager Don Mattingly said there are no plans to use either Crawford or Kemp in center field.
Fantasy Tip: Until Crawford starts to see valuable playing time - that might not happen unless a trade occurs - he's only valuable in NL-only leagues.

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford was told by manager Don Mattingly that he won't play much in the immediate future.
Fantasy Tip: This shouldn't come as a surprise, as Mattingly previously said the lineup wouldn't change much upon Crawford's return. If anything, Crawford may start against some righties, but his sporadic playing time makes him very unattractive.

The Los Angeles Dodgers activated OF Carl Crawford (ankle) from the disabled list Thursday, July 10, and designated 1B Clint Robinson for assignment in a corresponding move.

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford (ankle) is listed as a reserve on the lineup card Thursday, July 10, against the San Diego Padres.
Fantasy Tip: Expect the Dodgers to activate Crawford from the disabled list before tonight's game. Crawford will likely be eased back into playing time, but he was scorching hot before his injury. He is worth considering in all formats. His activation will leave the Dodgers' outfield stocked with options. Scott Van Slyke and Andre Either are likely to see the least playing time going forward. To a lesser degree, Matt Kemp will also see less playing time.

Los Angeles Dodgers OF Carl Crawford's (ankle) return isn't expected to change the lineup, according to manager Don Mattingly. There could be a logjam with OFs Matt Kemp, Yasiel Puig and Andre Ethier also in the fold.
Fantasy Tip: What does this exactly mean? We're not sure, and we probably won't know until Mattingly starts filling out his lineups. There's a chance he could ride the hot hand. If anything, it likely means Crawford won't see enough consistent playing time to be considered in standard mixed leagues.
