Washington Nationals OF Jayson Werth is back in the starting lineup against Milwaukee Brewers SP Matt Garza Saturday, June 25, batting second and playing left field. OF Michael Taylor is receiving the day off.

Fantasy Tip: Werth is 7-for-17 (.412) with two doubles, a home run and two RBI in his career versus Garza and makes a viable option for daily fantasy lineups this afternoon. In addition, he is batting .343 with two homers and 11 RBI in 67 at-bats this month.

Washington Nationals OF Jayson Werth is not in the starting lineup against Milwaukee Brewers SP Zach Davies Friday, June 24. OF Ben Revere will start in left field, while OF Michael Taylor will start in center field and is batting second in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor is coming off a tough game but did have seven hits in his previous four games. Taylor should have some value in daily fantasy leagues but is not a great fantasy option.

Nationals | Two Nats sit

Sat, 18 Jun 2016 16:17:17 -0700

Washington Nationals 3B Anthony Rendon and OF Jayson Werth are out of the lineup Saturday, June 18, with OF Michael Taylor hitting second and 3B Stephen Drew hitting seventh.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor is hitting .333 this month, and he's a good flyer against Colin Rea as he's hitting ahead of Bryce Harper. Drew is 8-for-16 with three homers this month, and he, too, is a low-end flyer with a good matchup.

Washington Nationals OF Jayson Werth is not in the starting lineup against Philadelphia Phillies SP Aaron Nola Saturday, June 11. OF Ben Revere will start in left field, while OF Michael Taylor will start in center field and is batting second.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor has been playing better lately with six hits and two RBI in his last seven games. He is still hitting only .205 this season and is not a strong fantasy option.

Nationals | Jayson Werth drives in four

Wed, 08 Jun 2016 23:18:39 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Jayson Werth went 3-for-6 with a home run, two runs scored and four RBIs Wednesday, June 8, against the Chicago White Sox.

Fantasy Tip: Werth is still hitting just .236 on the season, but he has 10 homers and 31 RBIs. He is particularly attractive when facing left-handed pitching, as he is hitting .356 (16-for-45) with three doubles, five homers, 12 RBI and a 1.164 OPS. Remember that for DFS in Sunday's game against Philadelphia Phillies LHP Adam Morgan.

Nationals | Michael Taylor draws into lineup

Tue, 07 Jun 2016 14:26:35 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Michael Taylor is starting in center field and is hitting ninth against Chicago White Sox SP Mat Latos Tuesday, June 7. OF Jayson Werth is serving as the designated hitter in an American League park.

Fantasy Tip: Taylor could see regular playing time this week in Chicago. Unfortunately, his power-speed combination won't play very well hitting ninth for those in daily formats. He's still worth consideration as a deep sleeper in DFS against Latos, though.

Washington Nationals OF Jayson Werth is not in the starting lineup against Cincinnati Reds SP Jon Moscot Sunday, June 5. OF Ben Revere will play left field and bat first, with OF Michael Taylor batting second and playing center field.

Fantasy Tip: Both Revere (.155) and Taylor (.197) are entering play Sunday with batting averages below the Mendoza line, so they should be avoided in all fantasy formats.

Nationals | Bryce Harper out Tuesday

Tue, 31 May 2016 12:58:15 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Bryce Harper (knee) is out of the starting lineup Tuesday, May 31, against the Philadelphia Phillies. The team moved OF Jayson Werth from left to right field for Tuesday's game, and OF Clint Robinson will start in left against Phillies SP Aaron Nola.

Fantasy Tip: This injury doesn't appear to be too serious, but the team is exercising caution so it doesn't turn a little problem into something bigger. Sit Harper until he goes back to active duty. As for Robinson, his .200-2-9 line carries little to no fantasy value.

Nationals | Anthony Rendon, Wilson Ramos playing

Sun, 29 May 2016 07:52:46 -0700

Washington Nationals 3B Anthony Rendon and C Wilson Ramos are back in the starting lineup against St. Louis Cardinals SP Michael Wacha Sunday, May 29. In addition, OF Michael Taylor will play center field and bat second. OF Jayson Werth is receiving the day off.

Fantasy Tip: Rendon is 8-for-19 (.421) with three runs scored against the Cardinals this season and Ramos is batting .325 with three home runs and 13 RBI through 80 at-bats this month, so both players are worth starting in all formats. Taylor is batting just .209 through 43 at-bats in May and should be avoided.

Nationals | Several WAS regulars return to lineup

Sun, 22 May 2016 08:10:37 -0700

Washington Nationals 1B Ryan Zimmerman, OF Jayson Werth and C Wilson Ramos are back in the starting lineup against Miami Marlins SP Adam Conley Sunday, May 22.

Fantasy Tip: Despite getting off to a lackluster start this year, Werth is batting .455 (10-for-22) with three home runs and seven RBI versus left-handed pitching, making him worthy of lineup consideration for daily fantasy games. Ramos is batting .333 in 72 at-bats on the road and is hitting .339 overall, so he should be viewed as a potential value play.
