Sat, 16 May 2015 18:48:25 -0700

Detroit Tigers 1B Miguel Cabrera hit his 400th home run in a 4-3 win over the St. Louis Cardinals Saturday, May 16.

Fantasy Tip: Cabrera ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) has four home runs and eight RBIs in his last three games, and he is a great option to build your lineup around at FantasyScore.

Tigers | Miguel Cabrera enjoying daytime success

Sat, 16 May 2015 06:46:13 -0700

Detroit Tigers 1B Miguel Cabrera has a .471 average with all eight of his home runs and 25 of his 26 RBI during 18 day games this season. The Tigers have an afternoon game against the Kansas City Royals Saturday, May 16.

Fantasy Tip: With soft-tossing-southpaw Tyler Lyons on the hill, Cabrera ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) projects as a high-end play for FantasyScore contests Saturday. He has consecutive three-hit games, too.

Tigers | Miguel Cabrera ends slump at night

Fri, 15 May 2015 21:29:08 -0700

Detroit Tigers 1B Miguel Cabrera went 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs scored in a 10-4 win over the St. Louis Cardinals Friday, May 15. Entering the game, Cabrera had no home runs, one RBI and a .158 batting average in 57 at-bats in night games.

Fantasy Tip: On the flip side, Cabrera ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) is hitting .471 in day games this year, but the disparity can be dismissed unless it continues well into the season. If you are going to pay up for a hitter at FantasyScore, Cabrera is a safe bet for solid production.

Tigers | Miguel Cabrera launches a pair of bombs

Thu, 14 May 2015 13:58:18 -0700

Detroit Tigers Miguel Cabrera homered twice and drove in five runs during Detroit's 13-1 victory over the Minnesota Twins Thursday, May 14. It was the third time this season Cabrera hit multiple home runs in a game and the 33rd time of his career.

Fantasy Tip: Cabrera ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) remains a high-end hitter in all fantasy formats. He was riding a mini funk entering the game Thursday, as he had no RBI over his previous five games and was just 2-for-17. Elite hitters usually don't stay down for long, and Cabrera is worth considering nightly for FantasyScore contests.

Tigers | Miguel Cabrera smashes two homers

Wed, 29 Apr 2015 16:18:39 -0700

Detroit Tigers 3B Miguel Cabrera hit two of the team's four home runs in a win over the Minnesota Twins Wednesday, April 29. He went 3-for-5 in the game with two runs and four RBI, and he's now hitting .370 on the season with a .453 on-base percentage and .630 slugging percentage.

Fantasy Tip: Cabrera ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) is doing elite things yet again at the plate after many fantasy owners were skittish on him in the first round of drafts because of offseason surgery on his foot and ankle. He has silenced the doubters, and he'll continue to be a strong play at FantasyScore on a daily basis.

Tigers | Miguel Cabrera crushing Cleveland

Sun, 26 Apr 2015 19:09:47 -0700

Detroit Tigers 1B Miguel Cabrera went 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBIs in an 8-6 win over the Cleveland Indians Sunday, April 26, and all three of his home runs and nine of his 13 RBIs this year have come against Cleveland.

Fantasy Tip: Cabrera ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) is a must-start option at FantasyScore against the Indians, and considering he is hitting .377 overall with a 1.043 OPS, he is one of the safer options available regardless of the opponent.

Tigers | Miguel Cabrera has hot weekend

Tue, 14 Apr 2015 12:15:31 -0700

Detroit Tigers 1B Miguel Cabrera went 11-for-14 against the Cleveland Indians over the weekend, with two home runs and a double. He also recorded a stolen base.

Fantasy Tip: Cabrera ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) has better hand-eye coordination at the plate, but another reason for the hot start may be his freedom from injuries. His overall health is the best it's been in a couple of years. Cabrera had groin surgery in 2013 and foot surgery in 2014, and both injuries appear to have healed nicely. Also keep in mind he took time to get better and didn't race to the plate when the season started. He came back on his terms. Take advantage of this hot start and put him in your lineup as much as possible.

Tigers | Miguel Cabrera records milestone

Sun, 12 Apr 2015 13:57:58 -0700

Detroit Tigers 1B Miguel Cabrera recorded back-to-back four-hit games over the weekend. It is the first time since Curtis Granderson (June 26 and 27, 2008) that a Tiger has done this.

Fantasy Tip: Cabrera ($5,900, 11.8% of cap) has seen his price drop a little due to injuries, but he's still a great buy at this salary. Any injury issues that dogged Cabrera at the start of the year appear to have vanished.

Tigers | Miguel Cabrera quiet in opener

Mon, 06 Apr 2015 18:25:51 -0700

Detroit Tigers 1B Miguel Cabrera (ankle) was hitless in four at-bats against the Minnesota Twins Monday, April 6.

Fantasy Tip: Miggy was a major dud for FantasyScore owners at $6,300 (or 12.6% of cap), especially considering he entered the game 16-for-31 (.516) with five homers and 12 RBI in his career against Phil Hughes. He is 2-for-9 (.222) with five strikeouts lifetime against Ricky Nolasco, Wednesday's probable starter, so save your money.

Tigers | Miguel Cabrera in the lineup

Mon, 06 Apr 2015 06:50:26 -0700

Detroit Tigers 1B Miguel Cabrera (ankle) is in the opening day lineup at first base and hitting third Monday, April 6.

Fantasy Tip: Miggy ($6,300, 12.6% of your cap) hit .345-3-8 in 29 spring at-bats and looks to be good for a high-end 1B spot on FantasyScore.
