Kansas City Royals manager Ned Yost is hoping 2B Omar Infante (jaw) can return to play this weekend after he was hit in the face by a pitch earlier this week. Infante sprained his jaw and needed six stitches to close a cut on his face.
Fantasy Tip: There's still a chance Infante will land on the DL, but that appears less likely now that he dodged a bullet with his injury. Keep him on your bench until he returns. Johnny Giavotella or Danny Valencia will receive the starts at second base until Infante is back.

Kansas City Royals 2B Omar Infante (jaw) was diagnosed with a sprained right jaw but did not sustain a concussive head injury after being struck by a pitch Monday, April 7. He received six stitches and will be evaluated over the next 48 hours. It doesn't look like he'll miss extended time.
Fantasy Tip: He may need a short DL stint, but this is a much less dire diagnosis than expected. His owners can breathe a little easier and settle for a less costly fill-in if needed.
