Mets | NYM will not pursue Jose Reyes

Tue, 28 Jul 2015 13:04:30 -0700

The New York Mets have no plans to reunite with Colorado Rockies SS Jose Reyes prior to the July 31 trade deadline.

Fantasy Tip: Reyes ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) was rumored to be flipped in another deal before the deadline, but the Mets haven't seen enough from Reyes to take on the contract. He should post good numbers in Colorado if he stays.

Rockies | Jose Reyes to be in uniform Wednesday

Tue, 28 Jul 2015 11:56:59 -0700

Colorado Rockies SS Jose Reyes will be in uniform for the game Wednesday, July 29.

Fantasy Tip: Reyes' ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) fantasy value increases with his move to the National League and Coors Field. He's moving to another extreme hitter's park that should help him accumulate more extra-base hits. The natural playing surface in Colorado should also help Reyes to stay healthy. Check to make sure he's in the Rockies' lineup tomorrow before running with him on FantasyScore.

Blue Jays | Jose Reyes will be fine

Thu, 23 Jul 2015 16:16:40 -0700

Updating a previous story, Toronto Blue Jays SS Jose Reyes will be fine, according to manager John Gibbons Thursday, July 23. Reyes got hit on the lips and was spitting a little blood, according to Gibbons, but everything should be okay.

Fantasy Tip: Reyes ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) was 6-for-13 with a walk in his past four games before going 0-for-3 with a walk Thursday. As long as he is able to suit up for the Jays' next game, he should garner FantasyScore consideration.

Blue Jays | Jose Reyes leaves early

Thu, 23 Jul 2015 14:49:07 -0700

Toronto Blue Jays SS Jose Reyes (face) left in the eight inning of the game against the Oakland Athletics Thursday, July 23. A ball deflected up into his face, and Athletics OF Billy Burns also collided with Reyes during the play when Burns slide head first into second base.

Fantasy Tip: Check back for an official update on the severity of Reyes' ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) injury. It may have just been a cautionary removal. At this point, it appears unlikely he'll miss a start.

Toronto Blue Jays 2B Jose Reyes went 4-for-5 with four runs during Toronto's 11-2 win over the Boston Red Sox Wednesday, July 1.

Fantasy Tip: Entering the game Wednesday, Reyes ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) had 19 runs, nine doubles, four home runs, 20 RBI, seven stolen bases and a .275/.318/.423 slash line over his 33 games since returning from the disabled list Modnay, May 25. He is second-tier shortstop option in the majority of formats and worth targeting at FantasyScore when the Blue Jays land in a favorable matchup.

Toronto Blue Jays SS Jose Reyes 2-for-4 with a run scored and three stolen bases in a 7-2 win over the Houston Astros Saturday, June 6.

Fantasy Tip: Reyes ($4,200, 8.4% of cap) has been playing well since returning from a rib injury, collecting a hit in 10 of 11 games. If he continues to be active on the base paths, he will deserve serious consideration at FantasyScore.
