Toronto Blue Jays SS Jose Reyes (hamstring) felt "comfortable" testing his hamstring while running Friday, April 11, and he will push it harder Saturday, April 12. Reyes plans to go on a rehab assignment after that if all checks out well.

Toronto Blue Jays SS Jose Reyes (hamstring) will begin running on a treadmill Tuesday, April 8, with his hamstring feeling good. Reyes is also taking groundballs from side to side.
Fantasy Tip: It's a start for Reyes, but remember that he'll likely need a short rehab assignment before returning to the team. Continue to keep in mind that he's known as a slow healer, which might make the Jays more cautious in bringing him back.

Toronto Blue Jays SS Jose Reyes (hamstring) took some soft toss Friday, April 4, and may take part in batting practice Saturday, April 5. His hamstring is feeling better, but he has yet to test it while running.
Fantasy Tip: Reyes' injury isn't very serious at all, but keep in mind he's a slow healer, so his DL stint could linger past the designated 15 days. We'll have a better idea of how he's progressing once he resumes running.

Toronto Blue Jays SS Jose Reyes' (hamstring) MRI exam showed mild inflammation in his left hamstring.
Fantasy Tip: This is good news, but Reyes will still miss at least the next two weeks. Jonathan Diaz was recalled and is starting at the 6 tonight. He's likely to see the majority of at-bats there in the interim, but you can ignore him everywhere unless you're desperate for a SS body in AL-only leagues.

The Toronto Blue Jays placed SS Jose Reyes (hamstring) on the 15-day disabled list Monday, March 31, due to left hamstring tightness, and they purchased the contract of INF Jonathan Diaz from Triple-A Las Vegas. Reyes battled hamstring soreness during the final week of spring training, and he left Monday's opener after just one at-bat.
Fantasy Tip: Reyes has been dealing with this chronic issue, and his stint on the DL could last longer than the cursory DL trip. With Reyes on the shelf, Ryan Goins and Maicer Izturis are likely to see more at-bats over the coming weeks, and each are decent middle infielder options in some AL-only fantasy leagues. However, don't bother with either player in mixed formats.

Toronto Blue Jays SS Jose Reyes (hamstring) will undergo an MRI exam on his tight left hamstring, but the team isn't expected to make a roster move Monday, March 31. Manager John Gibbons prefers to keep 2B Ryan Goins at second base if Reyes needs to go on the disabled list.
Fantasy Tip: Be prepared for the possibility that Reyes lands on the DL, since he's such a slow healer. On the active roster, Maicer Izturis is the likely candidate to replace Reyes at the 6, or the team could call up Munenori Kawasaki or Jonathan Diaz.

Toronto Blue Jays SS Jose Reyes (hamstring) left the team's game Monday, March 31, because of a hamstring injury. He was replaced by 2B Ryan Goins.
Fantasy Tip: Reyes has been dealing with this hamstring injury for some time, and it would affect his ability to steal bases if the injury lingers. Goins could fill in for Reyes if Reyes misses time, but Goins likely would be a short-term option in AL-only leagues if Reyes avoids the disabled list.
