Oakland Raiders offensive line coach Tony Sparano is expected to be the team's first assistant to be offered the interim head coaching job Tuesday, Sept. 30. However, offensive coordinator Greg Olson is campaigning heavily for the job, according to a source. Senior offensive assistant Al Saunders is also a candidate.

Raiders | Several coaches re-signed

The Oakland Raiders re-signed defensive line coach Terrell Williams, running backs coach Kelly Skipper and quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo to undisclosed one-year deals shortly after the season ended. Also re-signing were special teams coach Bobby April, receivers coach Ted Gilmore and tight ends coach Mark Hutson. It's unclear whether senior offensive assistant Al Saunders will be back.
