Updating an earlier report, Atlanta Braves Class AAA Gwinnett manager Brian Snitker was named the interim manager for the Braves Tuesday, May 17. Bench coach Carlos Tosca was also fired, and he has been replaced by Terry Pendleton.

Atlanta Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez was away from the team Friday, May 10, and will be away again Saturday, May 11, in order to attend his daughter's college graduation in Georgia. Bench coach Carlos Tosca is serving as the interim manager.

Atlanta Braves first base coach Glenn Hubbard and bench coach Chino Cadahia will not be returning to the team next season, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's David O'Brien. Pitching coach Roger McDowell, third base coach Brian Snitker and bullpen coach Eddie Perez will all be back, with hitting coach Terry Pendleton switching to first base coach/infield coach. Carlos Tosca will serve as the new bench coach.

Atlanta Braves pitching coach Roger McDowell, bullpen coach Eddie Perez and first base coach Glenn Hubbard are all expected to return under new manager Fredi Gonzalez next season, according to MLB.com's Mark Bowman. There has been speculation that Gonzalez would like his staff to include Carlos Tosca, the former bench coach with the Florida Marlins. Hitting coach Terry Pendleton is highly unlikely to stay on with the club.

The Florida Marlins fired manager Fredi Gonzalez, the Palm Beach Post's Joe Capozzi reports. Edwin Rodriguez was named interim manager. The team also fired bench coach Carlos Tosca and hitting coach Jim Presley. Brandon Hyde was named interim bench coach, and John Mallee was named interim hitting coach.
