The Atlanta Braves have identified acquiring a left-handed reliever as their top priority before the trade deadline and are believed to be interested in Boston Red Sox RP Andrew Miller. Arizona Diamondbacks RP Oliver Perez, Chicago Cubs RP Wesley Wright, Texas Rangers RP Neal Cotts, Houston Astros RP Tony Sipp and Miami Marlins RP Mike Dunn are other lefties believed to be available via trade.

Texas Rangers RPs Neal Cotts and Jason Frasor might be on the trade block this month, and there appears to be interest in both relievers. Both pitchers will be free agents at the end of the season, and the Rangers are looking to receive as many young players as possible in a trade.

Texas Rangers RP Neal Cotts is not physically injured, but manager Ron Washington elected not to use him in a close game Wednesday, April 16, because Washington said the team has been "riding" Cotts hard recently, and they wanted to give him a breather.

That leaves two spots open, and Ps Ryan Feierabend, Michael Kirkman, Daniel McCutchen, Seth Rosin and Shawn Tolleson battling down to the end of camp.
