Broncos | Several Broncos sitting Thursday

Thu, 03 Sep 2015 16:54:05 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning, RB C.J. Anderson, WRs Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders and other key players will not play against the Arizona Cardinals Thursday, Sept. 3.

Fantasy Tip: This is nothing out of the ordinary. Sanders, especially, might need the extra rest as he has been nursing a hamstring injury. Manning, Anderson and Thomas should be drafted as a QB1, RB1 and WR1, respectively. Sanders is more of a WR2 this year.

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning said he's healthy and feels physically ready for the regular season.

Broncos | Peyton Manning wants to keep playing

Wed, 02 Sep 2015 13:15:07 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning said he'd like to play next season, adding that he feels good and feels that he can still help and contribute.

Fantasy Tip: Manning is an ageless wonder. He's been fairly well protected throughout his career, which has aided in his longevity. And while the Broncos are expected to run a little bit more this year, he's still a candidate to finish as a top-five fantasy quarterback.

Broncos | Peyton Manning wants better chemistry

Wed, 26 Aug 2015 16:17:52 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning said he'd like the offense to improve its chemistry and move the ball better once they start playing more together. Specifically, Manning said he wants the Broncos to convert more on third downs and find the end zone.

Fantasy Tip: The Broncos have only played two preseason games, and Manning himself has only played in one preseason game so far. Some rust is to be expected from the get-go with any team. Manning and company should still be ready once the regular season begins. Consider him a top-five fantasy quarterback.

Broncos | Denver to use more three-WR sets?

Mon, 24 Aug 2015 12:56:46 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning and company may use more three-wide receiver sets than expected this season, according to ESPN.com's Jeff Legwold.

Fantasy Tip: Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders and Cody Latimer will make up most of those three-wide receiver sets. Thomas and Sanders will see their fair share of targets, but Latimer could be primed for a decent season as well. Putting him in WR4 territory wouldn't be out of the question.

Broncos | Peyton Manning can't feel fingertips

Mon, 24 Aug 2015 11:56:21 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning (neck) has been able to play even though he has not been able to feel his fingertips because of multiple neck surgeries. Manning said he has been told by doctors that the feeling may never come back. His completion percentage is 2.8% higher than it was before he had the surgeries.

Fantasy Tip: Manning has played well since joining Denver and undergoing the surgeries. Manning will throw less this season under head coach Gary Kubiak but should still be a starting fantasy quarterback against most opponents.

Broncos | Peyton Manning fine in new offense

Sun, 23 Aug 2015 06:48:40 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning looked fine running the team's new offensive scheme during the second preseason game, according to head coach Gary Kubiak. "I thought he was fine," Kubiak said. "We hurt him; we dropped two big third downs, and had a couple of penalties that stalled drives, but as far as him, he looked fine."

Fantasy Tip: Manning should continue to play well despite working with a new offense but probably will not throw as often under Kubiak. Manning still has a solid receiver corps to work with and will be a No. 1 quarterback in most leagues.

Broncos | Quiet debut for Peyton Manning

Sat, 22 Aug 2015 19:06:39 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning finished 8-of-14 for 52 yards in a preseason game against the Houston Texans Saturday, Aug. 22, and the offense punted on all four of Manning's drives.

Fantasy Tip: Although Manning didn't look good in the new offense in his first game action, it is too early to hit the panic button. He is no longer the top fantasy quarterback in the game, but he should still make a solid QB1.

Broncos | Demaryius Thomas has solid week

Thu, 20 Aug 2015 11:02:19 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas had a very productive week of practice and appears to be in football shape, according to QB Peyton Manning.

Fantasy Tip: Thomas should be the top target in the passing game this season and could see more opportunities with Julius Thomas no longer on the team. Thomas should be one of the first receivers selected in drafts.

Broncos | Peyton Manning throwing better?

Wed, 19 Aug 2015 12:44:02 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning's velocity has looked great. One Denver coach said Manning has been throwing better than he did in 2012, according to ESPN's Mark Schlereth.

Fantasy Tip: We'll see how Manning looks in the Broncos' second preseason game. If Manning has improved his arm strength and looks better than he did three years ago, he's still in the discussion as a top-five fantasy quarterback.

Tue, 18 Aug 2015 11:10:04 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning will play against the Houston Texans Saturday, Aug 22. Manning did not play in the Broncos first preseason game.

Fantasy Tip: This will be Manning's first time playing under new head coach Gary Kubiak, though he probably won't play much. Manning remains a top-five fantasy quarterback this year.

Broncos | WRs impressed with Peyton Manning

Thu, 13 Aug 2015 16:36:00 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning can make every throw, according to WR Emmanuel Sanders Thursday, Aug. 13. "Anything in this offense that they want him to do, I feel like he can do it and be the best at doing it," Sanders said.

Fantasy Tip: Manning noticeably declined near the end of last season, but after a summer of getting healthy his teammates insist he's as impressive as ever. Manning should perform as a top-five quarterback, if he can stay healthy in 2015.

Broncos | Peyton Manning, veterans expected to sit

Wed, 12 Aug 2015 18:27:28 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning and several other veterans are unlikely to play Friday, Aug. 14, according to head coach Gary Kubiak Wednesday. Manning had expressed a desire to play, but he appears to be adapting to Kubiak's planned off days this summer.

Fantasy Tip: Brock Osweiler will get a good chunk of playing time in the preseason, as the Broncos attempt to determine if he'll be in there long-term plans.

Broncos | Peyton Manning throwing harder?

Thu, 06 Aug 2015 14:27:20 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning has had more zip on his throws, according to WR Demaryius Thomas.

Fantasy Tip: This may be one of those believe it when you see it deals. Manning has taken flak in recent years for not having as strong of an arm as he used to. Of course, that's to be expected since he's 39 years old. The bigger concern for Manning and the Broncos should be the offensive line. Nevertheless, Manning should be viewed as a top-five fantasy quarterback again this year.

Broncos | Peyton Manning to rely on run game?

Thu, 30 Jul 2015 17:21:52 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning will need to rely on the run game in 2015, according to general manager John Elway Thursday, July 30. "What I can say, late in my career, that was my best friend, the running game. And I think that running game will be Peyton's best friend also," said Elway.

Fantasy Tip: The Broncos are expected to use a more balanced offense under head coach Gary Kubiak's system. With Manning expected to throw less, his fantasy value will take a slight hit, but he should still finish near the top-five quarterbacks.

Broncos | Peyton Manning dealing with changes

Mon, 29 Jun 2015 14:46:11 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning has been forced to deal with a new head coach, a new offensive coordinator, less practice time and more rest during offseason practices, new offensive linemen, a new starting tight end in TE Owen Daniels and not being able to practice with star WR Demaryius Thomas yet.

Fantasy Tip: Manning's work ethic and his desire to practice with teammates have been well known throughout his career, so it's easy to see how this offseason may be a struggle for him. Manning and the Broncos still have a couple months to practice together and become more used to each other and to new head coach Gary Kubiak and new offensive coordinator Rick Dennison. The two biggest concerns may be not practicing with Thomas and the new-look offensive line, specifically left tackle. That being said, as long as Manning can stay healthy, he should still be a top-end QB1.

Texans | Houston had Peyton Manning talks

Wed, 24 Jun 2015 08:49:43 -0700

Updating previous reports, Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning was the subject of preliminary trade discussions with the Houston Texans, according to a source. The talks occurred before Manning restructured his deal and the Texans signed QB Brian Hoyer. If the Texans were to acquire Manning they would have had to restructure Manning's deal and SportsRadio 610's source says the money in Houston would not have been as high as the $15 million Manning got from the Broncos.

Fantasy Tip: These types of talks probably take place all the time, but it's an indication that Manning is no longer among the handful of players that are untouchable. Manning is probably at the last rung of the elite QB tier in fantasy and should remain in the top five taken at the position.

Broncos | Peyton Manning trade rumors false

Wed, 24 Jun 2015 04:46:18 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning was not the subject of talks that had him headed for the Houston Texans. Reports suggested some in the Broncos organization wanted to jumpstart QB Brock Osweiler and start the rebuilding process.

Fantasy Tip: This rumor was denied all the way to the top of the Broncos organization, including by John Elway himself. Manning will stay a Bronco for this season, and his 4,727 yards and 39 passing touchdowns suggest he will be a strong QB1 candidate and one of the first signal-callers off the board. Still, keep an eye out for injuries, as he was hampered by them late in the year.

Broncos | Peyton Manning not happy

Thu, 11 Jun 2015 20:23:48 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning is upset that WR Demaryius Thomas doesn't have a new deal and isn't practicing with the team, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Thursday, June 11.

Fantasy Tip: Although the extra practice reps certainly wouldn't hurt, Thomas will be back on the field eventually. Meanwhile, the lost time won't change the fact that Thomas is a WR1 and Manning is a QB1 in all formats.

Broncos | Peyton Manning limited in OTAs

Wed, 10 Jun 2015 21:12:44 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning and other veterans have accepted a lighter load during organized team activities (OTAs), as younger and inexperienced players are seeing more spring practice reps. Head coach Gary Kubiak is trying to keep his veterans fresh and healthy for training camp in late July.

Fantasy Tip: Manning is 39, and the team certainly knows what he can do at this point. He had some nagging injuries down the stretch in 2014, so any extra rest he can get now might help him in December and into January.

Broncos | Peyton Manning looking good

Mon, 08 Jun 2015 10:57:41 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning looked good when working out with teammates at Duke University this offseason and did not show any problems with the quadriceps injury he suffered during the 2014 season, according to Duke head coach David Cutcliffe. "I thought he looked really healthy. We had talked about nutrition, about sleep, about recovery. He's really so, so smart. So brilliant and so disciplined. But there's another level, always. I thought he looked really fit. I thought his core was great. I watched him train inside, and he looks good and he's strong where he needs to be strong, and he didn't show anything at all from the quad. And we talked a lot about flexibility," Cutcliffe said.

Fantasy Tip: Manning decided to come back for another season and looks to be prepared for the start of training camp and the regular season. He will have most of his receiving options back this season but will be running an offense that likes to run the ball more often. Manning should still be a starting option in fantasy leagues this season.

Broncos | Backup QBs see more reps

Tue, 02 Jun 2015 14:15:59 -0700

Denver Broncos QBs Brock Osweiler and Zac Dysert received more repetitions Monday, June 1, during organized team activities as QB Peyton Manning sat out. Manning will continue to be given days off, according to head coach Gary Kubiak.

Broncos | Peyton Manning sitting out

Mon, 01 Jun 2015 10:54:06 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning is not participating in organized team activities Monday, June 1.

Fantasy Tip: Manning likely is receiving a day off, so owners should not be worried about his absence. Manning still has a lot of weapons to work with in the passing game and should be a starting fantasy option most weeks this upcoming season.

Broncos | Chris Clark to stay at right tackle for DEN

Thu, 28 May 2015 14:29:48 -0700

Updating previous reports, Denver Broncos OT Chris Clark will continue to play right tackle despite OT Ryan Clady (knee) likely missing the 2015 season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Clark replaced Clady at left tackle when Clady was injured in 2013. OTs Michael Schofield and rookie Ty Sambrailo figure to be the frontrunners to start at left tackle, but recently acquired OT Ryan Harris should also be in the mix to protect QB Peyton Manning's blind side.

Fantasy Tip: Protection has been imperative for Manning throughout his illustrious career. Clady is regarded as one of the best left tackles in the league. The Broncos are expected to implement more play action into the offense this year, so that combined with new head coach Gary Kubiak's zone blocking scheme should also be beneficial to Manning's safety.

Broncos | Denver to use more play-action

Thu, 28 May 2015 11:13:03 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning and the Broncos offense is expected to use much more play-action passing in 2015 under new head coach Gary Kubiak and his stretch-run, zone-blocking offense. Manning, however, has primarily been a pocket passer in his 17-year career, relying more on quick releases than his ability to scramble or roll out.

Manning ranked fifth among 27 quarterbacks in play-action usage (27.3%) in his first season in Denver in 2012, and he was seventh in passer rating (108.8) in play-action. In 2013, a record-setting year, he was No. 7 in play-action usage (25.6%) and seventh in passer rating (108.8) in play-action. Last year, just 22.3% of his drop-backs were play-action (No. 11 in the league), and his passer rating was just 86.5. TE Owen Daniels, who is very familiar with Kubiak's offensive scheme, thinks Manning won't have a problem using more play-action.

Fantasy Tip: A move to a heavy ground attack late in the 2014 season coincided with Manning's quad injury, and his numbers quickly dipped. The 39-year-old should be fully healthy heading into 2015, and fantasy owners shouldn't be worried about his production, even in this new offense. Consider Manning a top-five fantasy QB again.

Broncos | Peyton Manning looks great

Thu, 28 May 2015 09:45:20 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning looked strong and sharp in practice Wednesday, May 27, "whistling" throws short, medium and long. He was quick-footed and appeared to be in great condition for 39 years old, according to The Associated Press' Arnie Stapleton. Manning will have to work almost exclusively from under center in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: Manning looked like a different quarterback down the stretch in 2014 when he battled a quad injury that robbed him of velocity. Fantasy owners shouldn't have too much concern about his ability to perform at a high level this season, barring another injury. He's a top-five fantasy passer in all formats.

Broncos | Peyton Manning to work under center

Wed, 27 May 2015 18:47:10 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning will see most of his snaps under center during organized team activities this week, according to head coach Gary Kubiak. Kubiak said Manning already has plenty of experience in the shotgun since the team used it 70% of the time in 2014.

Fantasy Tip: Manning likely will see more snaps under center with Kubiak as the new coach but should still see time in the shotgun. Manning may not be playing like he did earlier in his career but should be a weekly starting option for owners in 2015.

Broncos | Peyton Manning arrives at OTAs

Wed, 27 May 2015 16:17:37 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning participated in organized team activities Wednesday, May 27. It marked the official beginning of Manning's 18th NFL season.

Fantasy Tip: Manning's troubles at the end of last season should be blamed largely on injuries. Heading into a new season at full health, there's no reason to not consider Manning amongst the league's elite. Manning should be considered a top-five quarterback entering 2015 fantasy drafts.

Broncos | Peyton Manning may play more seasons

Wed, 29 Apr 2015 11:27:37 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning said he feels good physically and does not see the 2015 season as a farewell tour. Manning said the team has been learning head coach Gary Kubiak's offense during offseason workouts.

Fantasy Tip: Manning is close to the end of his career, but he may be able to play a few more seasons before retiring. Manning should still be considered a No. 1 fantasy quarterback in most leagues next season.

Broncos | Peyton Manning at veteran's mini camp

Tue, 28 Apr 2015 17:37:54 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning took part in the first day of veteran's mini camp Tuesday, April 28. Manning wouldn't say whether 2015 would be his last season in the NFL, "I feel good physically, and the whole team, including me, is just excited to get back on the field," Manning said. "We've been here a couple weeks, lifting and meeting, but it's always nice to get back on the football field."

Fantasy Tip: Manning will enter the 2015 fantasy season just outside of the top five quarterbacks. With many of the same weapons as the Broncos had last season - with the exception of TE Julius Thomas and WR Wes Welker - Manning should come close to 40 passing touchdowns yet again.

Broncos | Offense to be catered to Peyton Manning

Sat, 18 Apr 2015 18:07:33 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning won't be forced into a playbook that doesn't suit his gifts, according to head coach Gary Kubiak, and Kubiak added that it has been easy to mix his playbook with the playbook Denver used last season.

Fantasy Tip: Although Manning's lingering health concerns should keep him from being the first quarterback taken in fantasy drafts, he should still be considered a solid QB1 heading into the 2015 season.

Broncos | Peyton Manning to play less in 2015?

Wed, 25 Mar 2015 13:20:47 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning may not play as much as usual next season in order to give him more rest. Head coach Gary Kubiak has indicated that he will tailor the offense to benefit Manning, including running the ball more. Subsequently, QB Brock Osweiler could see more playing time if Manning's playing time is adjusted. Kubiak said he's impressed with how excited Osweiler is and knows he wants to play a part in the Broncos' offense. Kubiak said Osweiler's opportunity to play will come at some point. "I always tell young players nobody knows if you're taking care of your business until you're thrown in the fire."

Fantasy Tip: Manning has been an elite fantasy quarterback almost his entire career and he should still be considered as such. That being said, at age 39, he may not offer as much value as he has in previous seasons, especially with a new offense that will probably see the Broncos run the ball more often. Again, Manning should still be considered a top-tier fantasy quarterback as long as he's healthy.

Broncos | Kubiak not worried about Peyton Manning

Tue, 24 Mar 2015 11:43:56 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning needing extra time this offseason to weigh his future is a non-issue, according to new head coach Gary Kubiak. Kubiak also said he's not worried about how Manning will fit into his offense. "I'd pick Peyton Manning for any offense, I mean, we're going to go do what he does best," Kubiak said. "We're not going to go roll out if that's not something that's a strength of our team. We're going to do what he does best."

Fantasy Tip: Kubiak is intent on not forcing anything on Manning in their first season together. Kubiak's typicaly offenses include plenty of bootleg rollouts, which would be tough for the immobile Manning to pull off. However, the offense will be tailored to Manning's strengths, so fantasy owners shouldn't be all that worried. Manning should be able to produce plenty of QB1 games again in 2015, although he may not be able to replicate the big numbers he put up in 2013 and 2014.

Broncos | Elway not worried about Peyton Manning

Mon, 23 Mar 2015 11:31:52 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning is more of an immobile, shotgun-positioned quarterback at his age, but general manager John Elway is unconcerned with how he'll fit into new head coach Gary Kubiak's and offensive coordinator Rick Dennison's plans. "Gary Kubiak's one of the easiest guys to get along with," Elway said. "He's very smart. Plus, Rico is a very smart coach. (Gregg) Knapp is the same (quarterbacks) coach. They're going to get along fine. They'll get a feel for it. We're going to put in what Peyton likes to do offensively with what Gary has always done."

Fantasy Tip: Heading into his age-39 season, it's fair to wonder how much No. 18 has left in his right arm, especially while having to pick up a new system. Still, we expect Manning to post QB1-worthy numbers most weeks, and an improved ground game may make him more efficient at times.

Broncos | Can Peyton Manning play full season?

Thu, 05 Mar 2015 15:23:31 -0800

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning would be the second quarterback ever (Brett Favre) to play all 16 games in a season he began at age 39 or older. Manning turns 39 later this month.

Fantasy Tip: Now that Manning is officially returning to Denver, he remains a top-tier quarterback in 2015 drafts, even with TE Julius Thomas likely not returning.

Broncos | Peyton Manning has incentives

Thu, 05 Mar 2015 14:37:28 -0800

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning, who restructured his contract to take a $4 million pay cut from $19 million to $15 million in 2015, will have a chance to earn the $4 million back in incentives. He can make $2 million each for AFC Championship and Super Bowl wins.

Fantasy Tip: Now that it's official that Manning will return in 2015, the biggest question becomes how productive can he be in a new offensive scheme under a new head coach and offensive coordinator? It remains to be seen, but the 39-year-old should at least serve as a midrange QB1 for fantasy football owners.

Thu, 05 Mar 2015 09:32:44 -0800

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning officially passed his physical and will return for the 2015 season.

Fantasy Tip: While Manning had a disappointing season in 2014, he is still one of the most consistent options there is at quarterback. He should be considered a top-5 quarterback heading into 2015 drafts.

Wed, 04 Mar 2015 15:40:40 -0800

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning's new contract, in which he will take a $4 million pay cut, will not impact the team's approach during free agency.

Fantasy Tip: While Manning wasn't his normal self in the latter part of the 2014 season, he's still one of the most consistent quarterbacks both in real life and in fantasy football. He should be considered at least a top-five quarterback heading into 2015 drafts.

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning's new contract in which he takes a $4 million pay cut will not become finalized until he passes his physical, which he is expected to take within 24 hours, according to sources. Other details of the contract are still being finalized.

Fantasy Tip: If/when Manning passes his physical he will officially be returning to the Broncos. While his 2014 season was relatively disappointing, he still remains a top-tier fantasy quarterback option for the 2015 season.

Wed, 04 Mar 2015 12:19:32 -0800

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning is close to agreeing to a new contract in which he would take a $4 million pay cut, according to sources.

Fantasy Tip: Manning will still have the likes of Demaryius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders and possibly Wes Welker, even if Julius Thomas doesn't return. While he may not be considered the top quarterback option in 2015, he's still a top tier fantasy quarterback.

Broncos | Peyton Manning to have deal revised?

Wed, 25 Feb 2015 18:12:17 -0800

The Denver Broncos and representatives for QB Peyton Manning are working on revising the veteran's contract, according to multiple league sources. He is scheduled to draw a $19 million salary in 2015 and 2016. Manning has informed the team he intends to keep playing, and the Broncos did not formally interview any quarterbacks at the NFL Combine last week.

Fantasy Tip: Manning started out like a ball of fire last season, but he struggled down the stretch a bit. Still, he should be considered a Top 10 fantasy option at his position heading into 2015. If he his skills have diminished somewhat, he is still better than a third of the other starting quarterbacks in the NFL.

Broncos | Peyton Manning still undecided

Wed, 18 Feb 2015 16:17:20 -0800

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning remains undecided on whether he'll return for the 2015 season, according to general manager John Elway. Elway met with Manning a week ago, and Manning expressed that he feels fine physically. Everyone is expecting Manning to return, but there hasn't been a definitive announcement from Manning himself.

Fantasy Tip: All signs so far point to Manning returning, minus a verbal confirmation from his own mouth. Assuming he returns, he should have most of his offensive weapons back. However, he'll be running a slightly different offensive system under Gary Kubiak. We believe that Manning should continue to be serviceable at least as a midrange QB1 in one more season.

Broncos | Peyton Manning fits well into system

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning has not decided if he will return in 2015 or not. However, he fits well into the offensive system of new head coach Gary Kubiak. He likes the stretch rushing system that features zone blocking and one-cut running. And he likes play-action passes off that running system, and Manning excels as a play-action ball handler.

Fantasy Tip: Manning has a large contract and cap number, and he is getting a little long in the tooth, but he can still be an effective fantasy option despite some decreasing skills. If he comes back, and it is expected, he remains a Top 10 fantasy option at his position.

Broncos | Peyton Manning expected back by HC

Tue, 17 Feb 2015 16:23:20 -0800

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning is expected to return this season by head coach Gary Kubiak. While Manning hasn't officially made a decision, he has told the team that he feels good enough to play in 2015. Kubiak said he doesn't think there's any hold up with Manning's decision and that Manning and general manager John Elway are working through the process.

Fantasy Tip: Most signs point towards Manning returning this season. The Broncos could rely more on RB C.J. Anderson and the running game next year, but Manning is still comfortably in QB1 territory, assuming he comes back.

Broncos | Peyton Manning assures coaches he'll return

Fri, 13 Feb 2015 15:07:13 -0800

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning has assured team officials, including general manager John Elway, that he's physically and mentally ready to return for another season, according to league and team sources. Manning had a comprehensive evaluation from performance manager and trainer Mackie Shilstone the past couple of weeks in New Orleans. Shilstone gave Manning a strong assessment based on workouts and tests. The quadriceps injury that Manning dealt with late last year is fully healed.

Fantasy Tip: Despite his age and declining physical abilities, Manning is likely to continue producing QB1 numbers in this offense, at least on a matchup basis. If you decide to draft him in this year's fantasy football drafts, it'd be wise to pair him with a strong backup, though.

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning met with general manager John Elway Thursday, Feb. 12, but was not ready to make an announcement on whether he will play in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: Manning has averaged 43.7 touchdowns in three years with the Broncos, and with a strained quadriceps likely playing a role in his late-season slide, he should still be viewed as one of the top fantasy quarterbacks if he decides to return.

Broncos | Peyton Manning's decision can wait

Tue, 10 Feb 2015 13:54:15 -0800

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning is being given all the time he needs to make a decision on whether he'll play in 2015, according to offensive coordinator Rick Dennison. Manning has already begun training in New Orleans and plans to meet with general manager John Elway and others before making his decision.

Fantasy Tip: If Manning has already started training, it sounds like he'll want to return for the 2015 season. If/when he does, he'll still be a top-tier fantasy quarterback despite his struggles later on last season.
