Colts | Frank Gore rushes 25 times in win

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 14:09:08 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore ran 25 times for 57 yards and a touchdown in Week 3 against the Browns.

Fantasy Tip: The old man was busy, but he averaged just 2.3 yards per carry. Add in the fact he had a 21-yard rush amongst that production and you can see he was stuffed or went backward on most of his attempts. That should give Gore's fantasy owners pause heading into Week 4 at Seattle against a stiff defense.

Colts | Frank Gore receives day off

Thu, 21 Sep 2017 14:28:06 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (non-injury) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Gore has been receiving days off during practice but will receive his usual workload this week against the Cleveland Browns. He has rushed for 88 yards and one touchdown in the first two games this season. Gore could be flex option in some leagues or could be on the bench if owners have better options.

Colts | Frank Gore leads Colts rushers in Week 2

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 15:22:02 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore rushed 14 times for 46 yards Sunday, Sept. 17, in a 16-13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

Fantasy Tip: Gore seems to be stuck in neutral when it comes to carries and yards. Gore remains a decent flex option, but the lack of explosiveness makes it difficult for Indy to mount a respectable running game.

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 15, and is not on the injury report for Week 2.

Fantasy Tip: Gore rushed for 42 yards in Week 1 but should receive more carries this week with Jacoby Brissett expected to start at quarterback. Gore is not must-start fantasy player every week but could be a flex option in most leagues.

Colts | Frank Gore rests Thursday

Thu, 14 Sep 2017 14:26:08 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 14.

Fantasy Tip: The lack of a viable passing game in Indianapolis right now is clearly hurting Gore, not to mention the up-and-coming rookie Marlon Mack. Between those two factors and Gore's inevitable decline, he's a flex at best for Week 2.

Fri, 08 Sep 2017 13:05:50 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 8, and is not on the injury report for Week 1.

Fantasy Tip: Gore likely will receive most of the work at running back in Week 1 and could be asked to do more than usual with Scott Tolzien starting. He has been a decent fantasy option over the years and is still a flex option in most leagues.

Colts | Frank Gore takes day off

Thu, 07 Sep 2017 14:31:09 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) was given the day off from practice Thursday, Sept. 7.

Fantasy Tip: The Indianapolis offense is not nearly what it can be with Andrew Luck, so expectations should be tempered this week. Gore can be started as a low-end RB2 or flex, however, against a Los Angeles Rams defense that will be without run stuffer Aaron Donald.

Colts | Frank Gore has ankle ailment

Mon, 31 Jul 2017 13:06:12 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (ankle) was limited in practice Monday, July 31, with a minor ankle injury, according to head coach Chuck Pagano.

Fantasy Tip: The injury doesn't sound too alarming. At 34 years old, the Colts will limit Gore's workload in camp and during the preseason. He's a low-end RB2 to high-end RB3 option in 2017.

Colts | Frank Gore holding off Father Time

Sat, 22 Jul 2017 09:35:29 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore, who turned 34 in May, finished with 66.2 percent of the team's carries in 2015 and 64.5 percent of the team's rushing attempts in 2016.

Fantasy Tip: Gore ranks 10th all-time with 2,965 carries and should move up to fifth on the list with another season's worth of rushing attempts. It's a nice way of saying he's nearing the end of his career, but he remains productive - albeit somewhat inefficient - due to his superior fitness and training. Backup Robert Turbin has reportedly had a great spring and rookie Marlon Mack appears to be the future at the position, so expect Gore to be a low-end RB2 at best in 2017.

Colts | Frank Gore still the lead back

Thu, 15 Jun 2017 18:19:28 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore is still expected to remain the "workhorse" back this season and see around 16 to 18 carries per game, according to Mike Chappell of CBS 4 Indianapolis.

Fantasy Tip: Gore isn't flashy, but as long as he seeing a bulk of the carries for the Colts, he is going to remain a dependable flex option with RB2 upside against weaker opponents.

Colts | Frank Gore makes NFL history

Sun, 01 Jan 2017 16:34:23 -0800

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore rushed 16 times for 62 yards in the Week 17 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, becoming the fourth player in NFL history to top 1,000 yards at age 33 or older. He is the oldest since former Washington Redskins RB John Riggins achieved the feat in 1984, and first 1,000-yard rusher for the team since RB Joseph Addai in 2007.

Fantasy Tip: Gore's career is winding down, but he showed he can still be trusted for fantasy purposes. If he plays in 2017 and is the starter, he will be a decent low-end RB2 or flex fantasy play again.

Colts | Frank Gore practices in full again

Fri, 30 Dec 2016 14:29:00 -0800

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) was a full participant in practice for the second straight day Friday, Dec. 30.

Fantasy Tip: More of the usual from Gore, who consistently sits out on Wednesdays before logging full practices on Thursday and Friday. As has typically been the case with him this season, he'll be in the RB2 conversation, but don't be surprised if he sees some of his workload scaled back in the Colts' meaningless Week 17 finale.

Colts | Frank Gore full go

Thu, 29 Dec 2016 14:10:30 -0800

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) participated fully in practice Thursday, Dec. 29.

Fantasy Tip: Gore is only 34 yards away from eclipsing the 1,000-yard mark. He played well versus the Jacksonville Jaguars in their first outing of the season, too, making Gore an RB2 candidate.

Colts | Frank Gore resting

Wed, 28 Dec 2016 14:40:57 -0800

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) did not practice Wednesday, Dec. 28.

Fantasy Tip: The Jacksonville Jaguars have not been good this year, but their rush defense has been somewhat of a silver lining. However, when Gore played them earlier this year he tallied 95 total yards and a touchdown. View him as an RB2 for the final week of the season.

Colts | Frank Gore totals 85 yards

Sat, 24 Dec 2016 19:54:19 -0800

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore rushed 13 times for 73 yards in the Week 16 game against the Oakland Raiders and he added one catch for 12 yards on two targets.

Fantasy Tip: Gore has posted 73 or more rushing yards in three of his past four games, finishing up the 2016 season strong. Even at 33 years old he remains a decent RB2 in most fantasy formats.

Colts | Frank Gore should play in Week 16

Fri, 23 Dec 2016 14:17:19 -0800

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 23, and is not on the injury report for Week 16.

Fantasy Tip: Gore has received at least 15 carries in five of his last six games and is coming off his second 100-yard game of the season. He only has four touchdowns on the season but should still be a reliable No. 2 running back for owners.

Colts | Frank Gore returns to practice

Thu, 22 Dec 2016 14:48:47 -0800

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) returned to practice at full capacity Thursday, Dec. 22.

Fantasy Tip: The Oakland Raiders have been just about as bad against the run as they have been against the pass this year. Gore just keeps on churning and could very well achieve another 1,000-yard season this week. Start him as an RB2.

Colts | Frank Gore resting Wednesday

Wed, 21 Dec 2016 14:40:21 -0800

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) received his usual day off Wednesday, Dec. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Props are in order to Gore for continuing to carry a heavy load at his age. He's just over 100 yards away from a 1,000-yard season and he could reach that plateau versus one of the worst fantasy rush defenses in the NFL in the Oakland Raiders. perspective. Gore comfortably sits in RB2 territory this week.

Colts | Frank Gore still getting it done

Sun, 18 Dec 2016 18:16:55 -0800

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore rushed 26 times for 101 yards in the Week 15 game against the Minnesota Vikings. He added four receptions for 14 yards on four targets.

Fantasy Tip: The 100-yard game was the first for Gore since Week 6, and he hasn't visited the end zone in five straight games on the ground (he has one receiving score during the span). He remains more of a low-end RB2 heading into Week 16 in most fantasy leagues.

Colts | Another full practice for Frank Gore

Fri, 16 Dec 2016 12:42:43 -0800

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) practiced in full for the second consecutive day Friday, Dec. 16.

Fantasy Tip: This is just the usual routine for Gore, who sits out Wednesday before practicing on Thursday and Friday. While normally he's a rock-solid RB2 because of the offense he plays in, the former 49er figures to have less of a ceiling this week, as he'll be pitted against the very tough Minnesota defense.

Colts | Frank Gore fully practices

Thu, 15 Dec 2016 15:03:52 -0800

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) participated fully in practice Thursday, Dec. 15.

Fantasy Tip: The Minnesota Vikings are more susceptible to the run than the pass, but they're still pretty good against the run. Starting any Colt this week is a risky proposition, but if there aren't better alternatives then Gore is best suited as a low-end RB2 or flex.

Colts | Frank Gore rests Wednesday

Wed, 14 Dec 2016 14:10:39 -0800

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) was held out of practice Wednesday, Dec. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Gore will be good to go for Week 15, but the Minnesota Vikings have been pretty stingy against running backs this year. Don't view Gore as more than a low-end RB2 or flex option.

Sun, 11 Dec 2016 21:47:12 -0800

Fantasy Tip: Gore hasn't posted a 100-yard game in seven straight outings dating back to Week 6, the last meeting in Houston. He remains more of a low-end RB2 in fantasy leagues at this point of his career.

Colts | Another full practice for Frank Gore

Fri, 09 Dec 2016 13:24:04 -0800

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) practiced in full for the second straight day Friday, Dec. 9.

Fantasy Tip: Gore didn't practice on Wednesday, but that's just part of his usual routine before logging full practice sessions the rest of the week. As usual, he'll serve as a fine RB2 option this weekend.

Colts | Frank Gore returns to practice

Thu, 08 Dec 2016 15:17:38 -0800

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) returned to practice and got in a full session Thursday, Dec. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Gore always sits out practice on Wednesdays before returning on Thursdays, so this is just the norm for the 12-year veteran. He's coming off a solid 79-yard effort -- his most rushing yards since Week 6 -- and can be slotted into his usual RB2 position this weekend.

Colts | Frank Gore receives day off

Wed, 07 Dec 2016 14:39:19 -0800

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (non-injury) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Gore has received at least 15 carries in six of the last seven games and will continue to be a main part of the offense. He has rushed for only four touchdowns this season but can still be considered a No. 2 running back or a flex option because owners know what to expect from Gore.

Mon, 05 Dec 2016 21:17:46 -0800

Fantasy Tip: Gore's yardage total was his best since a 106-yard performance in Houston Oct. 16, his only triple-digit yardage game of the season. He'll face those same Texans next weekend in Indianapolis. He remains a decent low-end RB2 in all fantasy leagues.

Colts | No room for Frank Gore

Thu, 24 Nov 2016 21:26:41 -0800

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore finished with 15 carries for 28 yards and one catch for three yards in a 28-7 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers Thursday, Nov. 24.

Fantasy Tip: The Steelers focused on stopping the run with Andrew Luck sidelined, and Gore was surprisingly uninvolved in the passing game. Once Luck returns to the lineup, Gore should go back to posting RB2 numbers.

Colts | Frank Gore feeling fresh

Fri, 18 Nov 2016 18:56:09 -0800

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore said he feels fresh coming out of the bye week, and offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski said Gore is playing as well as he has since joining the team.

Fantasy Tip: Gore is on pace for 1,000 yards as the lead back for the Colts, and he should remain a solid RB2 against the Titans in Week 11.

Fri, 18 Nov 2016 13:32:42 -0800

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (non-injury) fully participated in practice and is not on the injury report for Week 11.

Fantasy Tip: Gore has been a pretty consistent option for fantasy owners this season and will continue to receive a majority of the carries. He should be a fine No. 2 running back or a flex option in all fantasy leagues.

Wed, 16 Nov 2016 13:44:39 -0800

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (non-injury) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Gore will be fine for Week 11 and will continue to receive most of the carries for the Colts. He was held to 60 yards rushing in the last game but did score two touchdowns and has been involved in the passing game over the last few weeks. He should be a fine No. 2 running back or a flex option in most leagues.

Sun, 06 Nov 2016 21:02:12 -0800

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore rushed 19 times for 60 yards with a pair of touchdowns in the Week 9 game against the Green Bay Packers. He added two grabs for 11 yards on his only two targets.

Fantasy Tip: Gore had his first multi-TD game since Dec. 27, 2015 in Miami. He is 33, and on the downside of his career, but still getting it done for fantasy owners. The Colts are off in Week 10.

Fri, 04 Nov 2016 14:22:00 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 4, and is not on the injury report for Week 9.

Fantasy Tip: Gore will continue to receive most of the carries in the running game and has received at least 13 carries in all but one game this season. He should be considered a solid No. 2 running back in all fantasy leagues.

Colts | Frank Gore back at it

Thu, 03 Nov 2016 13:34:21 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 3.

Fantasy Tip: The game script with the Green Bay Packers just doesn't bode well for Gore. He's facing one of the most stingy run defenses in the league and the Colts could very well be forced to pass a bunch in order to keep up with Green Bay. That being said, Gore is still an RB2 option with all the byes in Week 9.

Colts | Frank Gore rests Wednesday

Wed, 02 Nov 2016 13:30:37 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) took a day off of practice Wednesday, Nov. 2.

Fantasy Tip: Gore is healthy. He simply had his regular day off. The Colts will probably be focused on the passing game against the Green Bay Packers this week since the Packers are stingy against the run. He should still be in starting lineups, though, especially considering all the byes in Week 9.

Colts | Frank Gore full go

Thu, 27 Oct 2016 13:45:35 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) returned to a full practice Thursday, Oct. 27.

Fantasy Tip: Gore should be well rested for this weekend's matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs are yielding over 100 rushing yards per game to running backs so far this year, making Gore a viable RB2 candidate this weekend.

Colts | Frank Gore sits out practice

Wed, 26 Oct 2016 13:27:42 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) did not practice Wednesday, Oct. 26.

Fantasy Tip: It's a normal day off for the veteran Gore. He will start like he usually does, but it's against a tougher rush defense in the Tennessee Titans. That being said, Gore is a high-end RB2 option for Week 8.

Colts | Frank Gore leads IND running attack

Sun, 23 Oct 2016 14:56:28 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore had 61 yards rushing Sunday, Oct. 23, in a 34-26 win over the Tennessee Titans. Gore also had 22 yards receiving and a touchdown.

Fantasy Tip: The fact Gore couldn't get untracked against the Titans, save for the one receiving score, should give some fantasy owners cause for concern near the halfway point. You may want to look elsewhere.

Colts | Frank Gore a full participant

Thu, 20 Oct 2016 15:23:47 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) participated fully in practice Thursday, Oct. 20.

Fantasy Tip: Gore is still chugging along at 33 years old, but the Tennessee Titans have been stingy against the run this season. Fortunately for Gore he's healthy and Indy's primary running back. He's worthy of RB2 consideration.

Colts | Frank Gore rests Wednesday

Wed, 19 Oct 2016 14:35:40 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (rest) did not practice Wednesday, Oct. 19.

Fantasy Tip: The day of rest isn't unusual for a grinding veteran like Gore. He'll be on the field this weekend, but the Tennessee Titans have only yielded 77 rushing yards per game and three touchdowns to running backs this year. Gore shouldn't necessarily be benched, but he's more of a flex option at best for Week 7.

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore rushed 14 times for 75 yards in the Week 5 game against the Chicago Bears and he added one reception for four yards on two targets.

Colts | Frank Gore set to make history Week 5

Fri, 07 Oct 2016 13:13:24 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore will pass NFL legend and Hall of Famer Jim Brown (12,312) for sole possession of ninth place on the league's all-time rushing list with 20 more yards in Week 5 against the Chicago Bears.

Fantasy Tip: It's a testament to his strength, fortitude and consistency. It's all the more impressive considering how often he was hurt early in his career and how many bad San Francisco 49er teams he played for over that same time. No. 8 rusher Tony Dorsett (12,739) is also well within his sights this year as well. Even behind a shaky offensive line, Gore is a solid RB2 who hasn't missed a game since 2010.

Colts | Frank Gore fully practices

Thu, 06 Oct 2016 14:15:40 -0700

Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore (chest) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Oct. 6.

Fantasy Tip: Gore went from no practice to full practice in a span of a day, so he should be taking the field on Sunday. The Chicago Bears, his Week 5 opponent, have surrendered an average of just over 100 yards and one rushing touchdown per game to running backs. Gore is a feasible RB2 play this week.
