Pittsburgh Pirates SP Francisco Liriano allowed just two earned runs and four hits in a complete game victory Friday, July 5, against the Chicago Cubs. It was his first complete game since he had a no-hitter as a member of the Minnesota Twins back on May 3, 2011. Liriano struck out seven batters in Friday's win.
Fantasy Tip: Liriano has won five of his past six starts, and has re-emerged as a must-start fantasy option in all formats this season. It took him a few years after elbow issues, but he appears to be an elite pitching option once again.
