Seattle Mariners OF Seth Smith is not in the lineup against Arizona Diamondbacks left-handed SP Patrick Corbin Wednesday, July 29. OF Franklin Gutierrez is starting in left field and hitting cleanup.

Fantasy Tip: Gutierrez ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) is one of the weaker cleanup hitters you'll see in the big leagues. The run-producing spot is ideal for his daily value, but he's still a low-end outfield play against Corbin, who has looked good in his return from Tommy John surgery.

Mariners | Franklin Gutierrez making season debut

Wed, 24 Jun 2015 16:55:17 -0700

Seattle Mariners OF Franklin Gutierrez was recalled from the minors and is in the starting lineup against Kansas City Royals SP Danny Duffy Wednesday, June 24. Gutierrez is playing left field and hitting second.

Fantasy Tip: Gutierrez won't be available on FantasyScore tonight, but you shouldn't be itching to use him anyway. Gutierrez hasn't played in the big leagues since 2013 due to various injuries and ailments, and he was hitting .317 (57-for-180) with seven home runs and 31 RBI in 48 games for Class AAA Tacoma this year.
