Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald works well with Palmer

Wed, 12 Aug 2015 10:02:11 -0700

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald caught 80% of the passes thrown to him by QB Carson Palmer last season. He caught only 50% of the passes thrown by QBs Drew Stanton and Ryan Lindley.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald appears to have a strong connection with Palmer, which should help his fantasy value. Fitzgerald had a disappointing 2014 with 784 receiving yards and two touchdowns, but that was likely a result of the team's quarterback situation after Palmer was injury. Fitzgerald should be considered a middle-round option in most leagues.

Cardinals | John Brown to see more targets

Thu, 06 Aug 2015 14:48:16 -0700

Arizona Cardinals WR John Brown is expected to see more targets alongside WR Larry Fitzgerald with WR Michael Floyd (fingers) sidelined.

Fantasy Tip: Brown already had the most upside of this receiving core, and his value will surely rise in fantasy football drafts. Floyd could return in time for Week 1, but Brown should still be treated as a sleeper pick in the middle rounds of drafts.

Bears | Kevin White talking to Larry Fitzgerald

Wed, 01 Jul 2015 18:10:35 -0700

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White sought advice from Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald at the NFL Rookie Symposium.

Fantasy Tip: White has all the physical tools he needs to succeed, but it could take him a while to learn some of the subtleties to playing the receiver position in the NFL. Still, he should eventually take over the No. 2 receiving job. Stash him as a WR5, and he could pay dividends as the season goes on.

Cardinals | Big season for Larry Fitzgerald?

Thu, 26 Mar 2015 19:11:49 -0700

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald and QB Carson Palmer were finally on the same page last season, according to head coach Bruce Arians.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald was on pace to reach 1,000 yards last season when Palmer went down with a knee injury, and if both players stay healthy in 2015, Fitzgerald could have a solid season. However, don't count on Fitzgerald being more than a No. 3 receiver for your fantasy team.

Browns | Cleveland pursued Larry Fitzgerald

Mon, 16 Mar 2015 10:38:34 -0700

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald was a trade target for the Cleveland Browns before he restructured his contract and stayed with the Cardinals, according to a source. The Browns were one of several teams to inquire about Fitzgerald's availability.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald will be staying with the Cardinals and should see his value increase some with Carson Palmer returning from injury. Fitzgerald could be selected in the middle rounds of drafts next season as a No. 3 receiver that has a chance to produce like a No. 2 receiver. The Browns signed Brian Hartline this offseason and are trying to sign Dwayne Bowe, but neither player likely would be more than a No. 3 fantasy wide receiver.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald contract update

Fri, 27 Feb 2015 13:50:31 -0800

Updating a previous report, Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald is scheduled to count $10.85 million against the salary cap in 2015 and $15.85 million in 2016. His contract will void after two seasons, and the Cardinals will have $4.85 million of dead money on their salary cap in 2017 and 2018.

Fantasy Tip: Fitzgerald was limited to 784 yards and two touchdowns this past season but should have a better season with Carson Palmer returning. Owners probably should consider Fitzgerald as a No. 3 wide receiver in drafts next season with the chance be become a No. 2 receiver.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald can't be traded

Sat, 21 Feb 2015 11:06:15 -0800

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald had a no-trade clause included in his new four-year deal, which prevents the Cardinals from using Fitzgerald in any trade talks.

Fantasy Tip: It's no guarantee that Fitzgerald will find renewed success in light of his new deal, though he could be more motivated with a healthy Carson Palmer returning, on top of the fresh contract. Fitzgerald is coming off a two-touchdown 2014 season, the lowest of any season in his career. He should probably be considered a high-end WR3 with WR2 potential.
