Atlanta Braves 2B Jose Peraza, 2B Alberto Callaspo, 2B Phil Gosselin, SS Jace Peterson and 3B Kelly Johnson are all part of a "wide open" competition for the starting second base job, manager Fredi Gonzalez said Thursday, Feb. 26.
Fantasy Tip: Peraza is the Braves' top-ranked prospect, and whether or not he wins the starting gig out of Spring Training, he is probably worth stashing, especially in NL-only leagues.

Atlanta Braves 2B Alberto Callaspo will play plenty of third base this spring, and if he shares the hot corner this year, INF Phil Gosselin could be the primary second baseman.
Fantasy Tip: Callaspo will be a serviceable utility infielder for the Braves this year, but he's best to be owned on NL-only rosters, as his playing time could fluctuate at third and second base.

Oakland Athletics SS Jed Lowrie (finger) said he expects to be placed on the 15-day disabled list, because he is not helping the team. Lowrie said he has tried to take part in baseball activities, but the finger is affecting his play.
Fantasy Tip: Alberto Callaspo and Eric Sogard could see time at shortstop if Lowrie is placed on the disabled list. Neither player has much value outside of AL-only leagues.
