Fantasy Tip: Navarro has only four hits in his 30 at-bats this month and probably should be avoided because there should be better options available for owners.

White Sox | Avisail Garcia, Alex Avila resting

Sat, 04 Jun 2016 10:55:43 -0700

Chicago White Sox OF Avisail Garcia and C Alex Avila are not in the starting lineup against Detroit Tigers SP Mike Pelfrey Saturday, June 4. OF Jason Coats will bat eighth and play left field, while C Dioner Navarro bats ninth and starts behind the plate.

Fantasy Tip: Coats is making his major-league debut and should be avoided in all fantasy formats until he proves that he can handle MLB pitching. Navarro is batting just .194 in 67 at-bats on the road this season and should be viewed as a desperation source of cap relief in DFS.

White Sox | Dioner Navarro catching Sunday

Sun, 29 May 2016 07:46:21 -0700

Chicago White Sox C Dioner Navarro will bat seventh and start behind the plate against SP Sunday, May 29. In addition, SS Jimmy Rollins will miss his second consecutive game, with INF Tyler Saladino batting ninth and playing shortstop.

Fantasy Tip: Saladino is batting .346 (9-for-26) on the road this season and is 13-for-38 (.342) this month, so he should be viewed as a productive source of cap relief in DFS. Navarro is hitting .269 this month following a slow start at the plate this year and is a viable catching option for daily players looking to save money.

White Sox | Alex Avila back from DL

Mon, 09 May 2016 12:11:03 -0700

Chicago White Sox C Alex Avila (hamstring) was activated from the 15-day disabled list and is hitting eighth against Texas Rangers SP Colby Lewis Monday, May 9. C Dioner Navarro will start on the bench.

Fantasy Tip: Navarro may continue to see more starts behind the plate, but Avila's return cuts into his time and limits his fantasy value. Both backstops are more of No. 2 catching options in AL-only or two-catcher setups.
