Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) did not participate in practice Monday, Aug. 3, because he suffered a sprained AC joint in his shoulder over the weekend. The team does not believe Jeffery's injury is serious.
Fantasy Tip: Jeffery probably will sit out some practices to allow his shoulder to heal. Jeffery will be the team's No. 1 receiver this season and should see plenty of targets. He likely will be an early-round option in most leagues this season.

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (shin) is still on the Physically Unable to Perform list and there is no timetable for his return, according to head coach John Fox. Fox said he considers White day-to-day at this time.
Fantasy Tip: White has been making progress, so he may be able to join his teammates in the near future. White may not start this season but should have a decent role in the passing game. White could be a late-round option in most leagues.

Fantasy Tip: White still hasn't been given a date for his return to the field, and prospective owners will need to continue to monitor the situation, although it is certainly a step in the right direction.

Chicago Bears TE Martellus Bennett said he isn't worried about his production declining because of the time he missed while protesting his contract. "Some terminology and still learning some things like that, but overall … I don't think anyone has the offense down," Bennett said Thursday, July 30. "I may be a leg behind, but I'm a pretty quick learner."
Fantasy Tip: Bennett is coming off a strong year, and despite the new offense in Chicago, he is a safe pick as mid-level TE1.

Fantasy Tip: The Bears will not rush White back, so he could miss several practices before being cleared to return to the field. White has a chance to receive a solid amount of targets this season and could be a late-round option in deeper leagues.

Chicago Bears LB Jared Allen arrived at training camp Wednesday, July 29, full of energy and confidence. Allen has readied himself for a potential move to outside linebacker. "Three years ago, if you had tried to make me switch my position, I would've quit," Allen said. "Honestly, because I was a knucklehead and I would've been like, 'No, I'm a right end, and I'm going to go up against the left tackle … But coming off a year where I dealt with injuries and being sick and my production numbers were down, it kind of clears your mind. This game will humble you. However it does it, it will humble you," said Allen.

Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler has impressed head coach John Fox with his attitude off the field, but Fox maintained that they're in a performance-based business, Wednesday, July 29. "No matter what we say about anybody, it's gonna come down to how we perform on Sundays or Mondays or whenever they line us up," said Fox. Cutler also spoke highly of Fox, and said he appreciates Fox's straight-shooting demeanor.
Fantasy Tip: Cutler entered his seventh training camp with the Bears, but he'll have a shorter leash than possibly ever before. Fantasy owners can consider Cutler as a late-round flier in standard leagues, as his starting job will be entirely dependent on his ability to keep possession of the football.

Fantasy Tip: When White was drafted with the seventh overall pick, he was expected to start opposite Alshon Jeffery. While he could still very well start when the regular season begins, the Bears might want to take a safe route in order for White to fully recover. He should still be drafted as a WR4, but keep tabs on his injury.
