Bengals | Andy Dalton on track to play

Fri, 23 Sep 2016 15:45:19 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton (hip) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 23, and is not on the injury report for Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Dalton is not a great option for owners in Week 3 because he is facing a tough Denver Broncos defense. Owners can bench him if they have better options to use.

Bengals | Tyler Eifert officially doubtful

Fri, 23 Sep 2016 15:36:54 -0700

Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (ankle) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 23, and is listed as doubtful for Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: Eifert likely will miss at least one more game but should return in the near future. Owners may want to see him play in a game or two before using him in their starting lineups.

Bengals | Tyler Eifert to be limited upon return

Fri, 23 Sep 2016 11:37:59 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (ankle) will not play in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos per head coach Marvin Lewis and see his snaps limited when he does return.

Fantasy Tip: The Bengals play the Thursday night game at home versus the Miami Dolphins in Week 4, so it is conceivable Eifert will get his partial game in on a short week, giving him a true full week of practice and recovery in hopes he can play a normal complement of snaps against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5. Given the difficulty of that matchup, owners may want to wait until Week 6 to start him in fantasy.

Bengals | Tyler Eifert unlikely this week

Thu, 22 Sep 2016 05:56:28 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (ankle) is unlikely to play in Week 3, in the opinion of beat writer Katherine Terrell.

Fantasy Tip: Tyler Kroft has just three catches for 35 yards as the tight end spot has been invisible from the passing attack. That'll change when Eifert returns, and he should remain stashed.

Bengals | A.J. Green does not practice

Wed, 21 Sep 2016 16:37:41 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (non-injury) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Green is expecting a baby in the near future, so he likely will not practice until the baby is delivered. Owners should keep an eye to make sure this does not affect Green's status for Week 3. He will be facing one of the best defenses in the NFL in the Denver Broncos but should still be a useful fantasy option.

Bengals | Tyler Eifert limited

Wed, 21 Sep 2016 16:35:14 -0700

Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (ankle) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Eifert is working his way back from ankle surgery and may not be ready for Week 3, so owners should keep an eye on the situation. Owners probably should avoid Eifert until they see him play in a game.

Bengals | Andy Dalton practices

Wed, 21 Sep 2016 16:21:46 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton (hip) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Dalton should be fine for Week 3 but will be facing a tough Denver Broncos defense. Dalton could be a low-end No. 1 quarterback in deeper leagues but could be benched if owners have better options.

Bengals | Tyler Eifert returns to practice

Wed, 21 Sep 2016 08:46:37 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (ankle) will return to practice Wednesday, Sept. 21, but he's unsure if he'll play in Week 3.

Fantasy Tip: If Eifert returns this week, he'd have some rust to kick off, and there are better options to roll with in fantasy.

Bengals | Tyler Boyd shines through

Sun, 18 Sep 2016 22:17:07 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals rookie WR Tyler Boyd posted six receptions for 78 yards on eight targets in the Week 2 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Tip: Boyd stepped up in the town he played his college ball. He has the potential to be a fantasy stud working opposite A.J. Green. Treat him as a WR3 in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams.

Bengals | A.J. Green disappoints in loss to rivals

Sun, 18 Sep 2016 22:16:38 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green managed two catches for just 38 yards in the Week 2 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was targeted eight times.

Fantasy Tip: Green normally performs well against the rival Steelers, but he laid a big egg for his fantasy owners in this one. Despite a tough matchup in Week 3 against the Broncos he remains a must-start across the board in all formats.

Bengals | Giovani Bernard posts nine grabs, TD

Sun, 18 Sep 2016 22:16:03 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Giovani Bernard ran five times just 17 yards in Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he more than made up for the shortcomings in the rush game with nine receptions for a game-high 100 yards and a touchdown.

Fantasy Tip: Bernard is a fabulous fantasy option in most formats, especially in leagues which reward points per reception (PPR). He faces another difficult rush defense in Week 3 against the Broncos, but he remains a solid RB2 in PPR formats.

Bengals | Jeremy Hill has difficult afternoon

Sun, 18 Sep 2016 22:15:27 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals RB Jeremy Hill ran 11 times for just 22 yards in Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he added three receptions for 37 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Hill has started out slow for fantasy owners and should be treated as a low-end RB2 in most formats. He has been outperformed by teammate Giovani Bernard thus far.
