Cleveland Browns DT Danny Shelton is moving around more quickly and looks more powerful in offseason workouts after dropping 30 pounds. Defensive line coach Robert Nunn wants Shelton to play on more passing downs this year, and the Browns are challenging Shelton to keep the weight off this season.

Cleveland Browns LB Barkevious Mingo, who gained 25 pounds in the offseason, has looked fast and powerful off the edge this offseason, and outside linebackers coach Ryan Slowik said the Browns have been moving Mingo around. "He's been great for us so far," said Slowik. "He's obviously very athletic and we're trying to move him around, create different roles for him to do things and he's accepted it and he enjoys the challenge of trying to pick up different traits. How much he moves around is up to him."

Cleveland Browns PK Travis Coons (undisclosed) did not participate in the team's mandatory minicamp because of an undisclosed injury. Coons is expected to compete with PK Patrick Murray during training camp.
Fantasy Tip: Coons made 28 of his 32 field goals in 2015 and should be the leading candidate for the kicker job. Owners probably should avoid whoever wins the job because the Browns offense may struggle in 2016.

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor has made significant improvement at wide receiver this offseason, according to wide receivers coach Al Saunders. Pryor still has some work to do, but the team is optimistic that he can produce at receiver.
Fantasy Tip: Pryor should have a solid chance to play this season since the team does not have many veteran options at receiver. Owners should watch him during the preseason to see how he plays because he could be a late-round option in deeper leagues if he plays well.

Cleveland Browns OTs Alvin Bailey, Spencer Drango, Shon Coleman and Michael Bowie are all options for the starting right tackle job, according to offensive line coach Hal Hunter. Bailey received most of the work with the first-team offense during offseason workouts.

Cleveland Browns CB Joe Haden (ankle) is making good progress in his recovery from offseason ankle surgery, according to secondary coach Louis Cioffi. Cioffi said he expects Haden to be ready for the start of the season and believes he can be a Pro Bowl player in 2016.

Cleveland Browns WR Corey Coleman was very impressive during organized team activities and minicamp after working himself into NFL shape, according to head coach Hue Jackson. Jackson said Coleman is a tremendous player but still needs to earn his playing time.
Fantasy Tip: Coleman was selected in the first round of the 2016 NFL draft and should have a very good chance of starting as a rookie. It may take him some time to adjust to the NFL, but he could be a decent late-round option in most leagues.

Cleveland Browns QB Robert Griffin III is still mastering the quarterback position, according to head coach Hue Jackson. "I'm not gonna say he's raw, but he is still developing," Jackson said. "And most young quarterbacks are still developing."
Fantasy Tip: Between his own development and the lack of offensive weapons around him in Cleveland, the deck is stacked against Griffin. He is worth a roll of the dice late in drafts, but don't count on him being a reliable contributor.

Cleveland Browns QBs Robert Griffin III, Josh McCown and Cody Kessler will be part of an open competition in training camp, according to head coach Hue Jackson. Jackson said he is not even close to naming a starting quarterback at the close of minicamp.
Fantasy Tip: Griffin still figures to be the favorite to start, but anything can happen between now and late August. As has been said before, though, none of Cleveland's quarterbacks are QB1 material.

Fantasy Tip: Cleveland's starting quarterback gig is Robert Griffin III's to lose, and Kessler will compete with Josh McCown for the backup position. It may take at least a year for Kessler to have any significant fantasy value.
