Dallas Cowboys OG Ronald Leary was not present for the first day of organized team activities Tuesday, May 24, and has request a trade. Leary has not yet participated in any of the Cowboys' offseason program. He wants to return to a starting role, but the Cowboys don't want to pay Leary the $2.553 million he's due as a backup.

Dallas Cowboys LB Jaylon Smith (knee) signed his four-year, $6.494 million rookie deal Friday, May 20. He will receive a $2.9 million signing bonus. Smith will likely open training camp on the non-football injury list and could miss his entire rookie season.

Dallas Cowboys WR Terrance Williams is in the final year of his rookie contract, but he's focused on the upcoming season, not a possible extension or new team. "Now, I'm just ready to be quiet and work and let my play speak for [itself]," Williams said. "You can always talk [about] what you're going to do and then if it doesn't go as planned, it's like a slap to your face. So I'm just ready to work and just show my play."
Fantasy Tip: Williams enters the 2016 season as the Cowboys' No. 2 wide receiver again behind Dez Bryant. He doesn't catch a ton of balls, but he is a legitimate deep threat, gaining a career-high 840 yards in 2015. Williams should be viewed as a WR4 this season.

Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott signed his rookie four-year deal Wednesday, May 18, worth $24.9 million. The deal includes a $16.3 million signing bonus. All first-round picks have a fifth-year option in their deals.
Fantasy Tip: Elliott has received a lot of hype already, and he has arguably the best offensive line in front of him. He's a midrange RB2 in fantasy, but the hype may make it tough to snag him as such.

Updating previous reports, Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (foot) will not take part in organized team activities next week, but he hasn't suffered any setbacks. He has done well with the conditioning and individual work so far. He is running full speed and is on pace to be ready for training camp in July.
Fantasy Tip: Bryant required a second surgery on his broken foot, which is pretty common. If he has a good camp, he shouldn't pose much risk as a high-end WR1 in fantasy.

Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo (collarbone) has not had any issues physically so far during the Cowboys' offseason program, according to head coach Jason Garrett. Garrett said that Romo has almost completely integrated back into the offseason program, adding that Romo's back is feeling well, his shoulder seems fine, he's moving around well and he's made a lot of progress. Owner Jerry Jones said there's nothing negative about where Romo is in his current state. "Everything they hoped to accomplish technically from appraisal of surgery has gone well. Everything he's done regarding his strength, everything regarding what he's wanted to do, he's been able to do," Jones said.
Fantasy Tip: Romo's outlook for the regular season looks more promising than many could have envisioned. The key for Romo, though, will be to maintain his good health and progress -- something he hasn't been able to do. The veteran quarterback can achieve low-end QB1 numbers if he can stay on the field.

Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (foot, ankle) is still not quite 100 percent recovered from right foot and ankle surgeries in January, and he was limited to nine games in 2015. Executive vice president Stephen Jones issued a challenge Wednesday, May 11.
Fantasy Tip: Fantasy owners hope that Dez can rebound to those lofty levels, too. It would also help if the running game could get going to take pressure off the passing game, and if Tony Romo could stay healthy, too. Dez worked with a mish-mash of has-beens and never-will-bes under center when Romo was out, so that didn't help add to his effectiveness, either.

Dallas Cowboys DE Tyrone Crawford is prepared to play defensive end this season if he is asked to do so. Crawford wants to do whatever he can to help the Cowboys' pass rush, especially while DEs Randy Gregory and DeMarcus Lawrence serve their respective four-game suspensions. "I'm going to do what I have to do," Crawford said. "[Playing defensive end] is definitely a possibility if needed." Crawfrod began his career as an end before switching to defensive tackle.

Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo (clavicle) has recovered ahead of the eight weeks at the back end of his recovery timetable, and he's expected to be a full participant in offseason practices later this month. "He's looking good," quarterbacks coach Wade Wilson said. "We had two practices where we've been out here on the field with the guys and he's done everything. He's throwing, he's got good velocity on all of his throws, great movement in his legs. He looks like he's re-energized because he hadn't played, you know, missed the majority of the season. So he's real energized and anxious to get going."
Fantasy Tip: The early reports are positive, but Romo presents a big health risk each time he's hit. He'll be a low-end QB1 consideration or an elite QB2.

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (foot) is making good progress in his recovery from foot surgery and has not suffered any setbacks, according to head coach Jason Garrett. Garrett said he hopes Bryant will be able to participate in some of the offseason workouts but would not say if Bryant will be able to participate in the June minicamp.
Fantasy Tip: Bryant likely will be limited during the offseason but should be ready for the start of training camp. Bryant is one of the best receivers in the NFL when he is healthy and should be selected in one of the first few rounds of fantasy drafts.
