Fantasy Tip: Cassel ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) is probably not an option to consider on FantasyScore after their Week 6 bye.

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (foot) will have to participate in practice before he is ready to play in a game, according to head coach Jason Garrett. Garrett said Bryant is making progress and has been able to do some things on the field.
Fantasy Tip: The Cowboys do not play in Week 6, so Bryant will have another week to recover from his foot injury. Owners will need to see if can practice next week or if he is still sidelined. Bryant should be added to starting lineups as soon as he is active.

Fantasy Tip: Weeden has lost each of the three game he has started for the Cowboys and has not thrown for more than 246 yards in any of the games. He has completed 72.4% of his passes this season but most of them have been short throws. Owners should start looking for other options because Weeden will lose the job when Tony Romo returns.

Fantasy Tip: McFadden ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) was crucial in the passing game in Week 5. He could be a worthwhile flyer on FantasyScore when the Cowboys return from their Week 6 bye. Randle ($6,400, 12.8% of cap) is a big question mark right now.

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (foot) had bone marrow stem cells removed from his hip and injected into his ankle last week to help improve the healing process. The team is hoping he can return Oct. 25 against the New York Giants. "It will do two things," owner Jerry Jones said. "It has the potential to improve the healing time but more important gives him and everyone more confidence that when he comes back, at whatever the time is, it will be sounder and I think that was the overriding reason for doing it. It will be sounder even if he kept the same timeframe. It could easily speed it up, but if not, what you're always going to be worried about (is) if you wait another week maybe you've got less chance of reinjuring it or basically rushing it. That will give us more peace of mind on rushing it."
Fantasy Tip: Keep Bryant stashed on your bench. Terrance Williams ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) has had 16 targets the last two weeks, but he caught just five of them. He's not an option to target on FantasyScore with the quarterback in flux.

Fantasy Tip: Cassel ($4,500, 9.0% of cap) could provide a spark for the flagging Dallas offense, and an added bonus would be the potential return of Dez Bryant to help out.

Dallas Cowboys QB Brandon Weeden could be out as the team's starting quarterback, as head coach Jason Garrett said Sunday, Oct. 11, that he will evaluate a quarterback change during the team's bye week.
Fantasy Tip: Weeden ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) has been a disaster, and he isn't worth using in Week 7 in FantasyScore whether he hangs onto the job or not.

Fantasy Tip: With Lance Dunbar out, McFadden ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) led the team in targets, catches and receiving yards. He is worth a look as a flex play in points-per-reception leagues.

Fantasy Tip: McFadden's ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) involvement in the passing game will help his fantasy value in all fantasy leagues. McFadden could also receive more carries if Joseph Randle ($6,400, 12.8% of cap) fails to produce. McFadden could be a cheaper option for owners on FantasyScore to consider.

Fantasy Tip: Darren McFadden ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) and Christine Michael ($3,000, 6.0% of cap) will see more playing time with Dunbar out for the season. McFadden could be a flex option for owners because he could see more carries if Joseph Randle ($6,400, 12.8% of cap) is not able to keep the starting job.

Dallas Cowboys RB Joseph Randle will start the Week 5 game against the New England Patriots in Week 5, with RB Darren McFadden seeing action a couple of series later and then giving way to RB Christine Michael. According to vice president Stephen Jones, the team will go with the hot hand from there.
Fantasy Tip: Randle ($6,400, 12.8% of cap) is likely going to see more touches than McFadden ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) and Michael ($3,000, 6.0% of cap), but it isn't a guarantee. FantasyScore players likely want to steer far clear of this messy and fluid situation.

Fantasy Tip: Witten ($6,200, 12.4% of cap) isn't on the team's injury report anymore, but he's already a little beat up with lower-body injuries. However, Brandon Weeden will likely have to rely on him often in a game in which they'll likely have to air it out frequently. Witten should be a safe FantasyScore tight end.
