Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo's (clavicle) rehab appears to be on schedule, and he has been given a timetable of seven to eight weeks. Romo is looking at the Week 11 game against the Dallas Cowboys as possible return date.
Fantasy Tip: Romo is currently on the Reserve/Designated to Return list and still has some time before he is eligible to play. Brandon Weeden ($5,000, 10.0% of cap) will be the team's starting quarterback while Romo is out and could be a cheaper starting option on FantasyScore.

Fantasy Tip: Bryant has missed several weeks because of the injury but appears to be on track in his recovery. Bryant should be a starting option in all leagues when he is able to return to the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: With Tony Romo sidelined, Witten ($6,200, 12.4% of cap) was leaned on by quarterback Brandon Weeden ($5,000, 10.0% of cap) in Week 3, finishing with six catches for 65 yards. He should do even more damage against the struggling New Orleans defense and is a strong play at FantasyScore.

Dallas Cowboys QB Brandon Weeden is expected to make deeper pass attempts, according to executive vice president Stephen Jones. Jones said Weeden will need to play less conservatively and threaten defenses more downfield, or the Cowboys will continue to see more pressure in the box.
Fantasy Tip: Weeden threw extremely efficiently in the Cowboys Week 3 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, but a lot of his throws were high-percentage throws, as Jones indicated. Weeden ($5,000, 10.0% of cap) is cheaper and has a good matchup against the New Orleans Saints, but he's not the most reliable play on FantasyScore.

Dallas Cowboys QB Brandon Weeden needs to try to more deep passes because opponents may have more players close to the line of scrimmage if he continues with short passes, according to executive vice president Stephen Jones. Weeden has attempted only two passes of at least 15 yards and has not been able to compete either pass. His passes are traveling only an average of 4.8 yards per attempt, which is the lowest average in the NFL.
Fantasy Tip: Weeden ($5,000, 10.0% of cap) has been successful with his short passes but should try longer passes if he wants long-term success. Weeden could be a cheaper option for owners on FantasyScore to consider because the Saints defense has struggled at times this season.

Fantasy Tip: The Saints have allowed a whopping 20.6 fantasy points (PPR leagues) per game to tight ends through three weeks, including three touchdowns. Witten ($6,200, 12.4% of cap) is hobbled but still managed six catches for 65 yards last week. Backup Brandon Weeden should continue to look his way often. Witten is a strong FantasyScore option Sunday night.

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (foot) and DE Randy Gregory (ankle) were ruled out for Week 4 against the New Orleans Saints. OG Ronald Leary (groin), DE Ryan Russell (groin), LB Kyle Wilber (hamstring), DE Jeremy Mincey (concussion), CB Brandon Carr (non-injury) and LB Andrew Gachkar (foot) are probable. Bryant and Gregory did not practice Friday, Oct. 2, while the others were all full participants.

Fantasy Tip: Randle ($6,500, 13.0% of cap) has established himself as the lead back in Dallas, and he scored three times in Week as he was leaned on even more with Tony Romo sidelined. The fact that he has a friendly matchup makes him an even easier choice at FantasyScore.

Dallas Cowboys RB Christine Michael took repetitions with the first-team offense in practice this week and is being prepared for game-day duty in Week 4 against the New Orleans Saints. The Cowboys are trying to find a way to carry four running backs on their active roster including RBs Joseph Randle, Darren McFadden and Lance Dunbar. Michael spend the first few weeks in Dallas learning the offense while on the scout team. Michael brings size and a physical style to the run game that the other backs on the team do not. He could serve as the hammer with the Saints expected to use plenty of eight- and nine-man fronts with QB Brandon Weeden at the helm.
Fantasy Tip: The Cowboys have so many mouths to feed at running back that it seems highly unlikely that Michael ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) would come in immediately and make a huge fantasy impact against the Saints. It's not impossible, though, but he'll remain a deep sleeper on FantasyScore for the time being.

Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (foot) and DE Randy Gregory (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 1. CB Brandon Carr (non-injury), LB Andrew Gachkar (foot), OG Ronald Leary (groin), DE Jeremy Mincey (concussion), DE Ryan Russell (groin) and LB Kyle Wilber (hamstring) fully participated in practice.

Fantasy Tip: Witten ($6,200, 12.4% of cap) should be one of the leaders in targets in the Week 4 game against the New Orleans Saints. Owners should consider using Witten in their lineup unless he suffers a setback.

Dallas Cowboys TE Jason Witten faces the New Orleans Saints in Week 4, and it's a favorable matchup for the veteran. The Saints are the worst NFC defense against opposing tight ends, allowing 17 receptions, 268 yards and three touchdowns through three games.
Fantasy Tip: While FantasyScore players might run from Witten ($6,200, 12.4% of cap) because his starting QB is Brandon Weeden ($5,000, 10.0% of cap), that actually be the reason to run to him. Weeden doesn't have the field vision Tony Romo does, and he'll likely be using more short and intermediate routes, which means more targets for Witten. Against a bad New Orleans defense, Witten is a strong DFS play.

Fantasy Tip: Witten ($6,200, 12.4% of cap) has been able to play with the injuries and should be on the field against the New Orleans Saints in Week 4. Witten should have a big role in the passing game and is a solid starting option because of the matchup.
