Broncos | Denver not benching Trevor Siemian

Mon, 23 Oct 2017 13:28:08 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian will remain the Broncos' starting quarterback going forward, according to head coach Vance Joseph. "He's our quarterback. He can't play well if he's not being protected," Joseph said.

Fantasy Tip: Siemian has had a disappointing 2017 campaign thus far. After throwing six touchdowns and just two interceptions in Denver's first two games, he has since thrown two touchdowns and five interceptions. The Broncos have had issues on the offensive line, though. And either way, Siemian wasn't going to be a viable No. 1 fantasy quarterback.

Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders now day-to-day

Mon, 23 Oct 2017 13:04:28 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) has been upgraded to day-to-day after being considered week-to-week. Sanders was sidelined for Week 7 with a sprained ankle.

Fantasy Tip: Don't expect Sanders to suddenly be full go this week just because he's day-to-day. The first step will be to string together some limited practices. If the Broncos determine that Sanders needs to rest more, then Bennie Fowler will serve as a deep sleeper for the second straight week.

Broncos | Demaryius Thomas gets shut down

Sun, 22 Oct 2017 20:18:26 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas posted just two receptions for nine yards on six targets in Week 7 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Fantasy Tip: Thomas had a long catch and run negated by an offensive pass interference call or his stat line would have been much different. He'll look to get back on track next Monday night in Kansas City. For now, he is best used as a low-end WR2 in most fantasy leagues.

Broncos | Bennie Fowler posts five grabs

Sun, 22 Oct 2017 20:17:36 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Bennie Fowler managed five receptions for 45 yards on his five targets in Week 7 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Fantasy Tip: Fowler is the de facto No. 2 receiver behind Demaryius Thomas with Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) sidelined. He is still only worth a look as a WR4 or flex play in deeper fantasy leagues while Sanders is on the shelf.

Broncos | A.J. Derby leads way in receiving

Sun, 22 Oct 2017 20:17:01 -0700

Denver Broncos TE A.J. Derby racked up six receptions for 66 yards on seven targets in Week 7 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Fantasy Tip: Derby had a team high in yardage and targets, but he is still best used as a low-end TE2 in most fantasy leagues until this type of production becomes a regular occurrence.

Broncos | Jamaal Charles totals eight touches

Sun, 22 Oct 2017 20:16:26 -0700

Denver Broncos RB Jamaal Charles rushed four times for just two yards in Week 7 against the Los Angeles Chargers while adding four grabs for 20 yards.

Fantasy Tip: The run game has been stifled in Denver, as opposing defenses are stacking the box and daring Trevor Siemian to beat them through the air. It isn't happening right now. Charles is only worth using in the very deepest of fantasy leagues heading into Week 8 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Broncos | C.J. Anderson doesn't do much

Sun, 22 Oct 2017 20:15:50 -0700

Denver Broncos RB C.J. Anderson rushed 10 times for 44 yards in Week 7 against the Los Angeles Chargers while adding one catch for 17 yards on two targets.

Fantasy Tip: Anderson started out on fire, but opposing defenses are starting to stack the box and dare Trevor Siemian to beat them through the air. It's bad news for Anderson and the Denver backs, as the passing game has yet to earn that respect and open things up on the ground.

Broncos | Trevor Siemian throws for 207 yards

Sun, 22 Oct 2017 20:10:36 -0700

Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian completed 25 of his 35 pass attempts for 207 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in the Week 7 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Fantasy Tip: Siemian was harassed all day, and he was sacked five times while also losing a fumble. The Broncos offense has really struggled and Siemian has went from four touchdowns and talk of the town in Week 2 to two TDs and five INTs over the past four games and on the hot seat.

Broncos | Bennie Fowler expected to start

Sat, 21 Oct 2017 18:36:32 -0700

Denver Broncos WR Bennie Fowler is expected to serve as the No. 2 receiver against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 7 with WR Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) sidelined.

Fantasy Tip: Fowler saw a season-high eight targets when Sanders exited in Week 6, and he could be a sneaky WR3 or flex play against the Chargers.
