Minnesota Vikings WR Mike Wallace believes the deep plays are coming despite Minnesota's slow start in the passing game. "We still have a lot [of playbook]; we've got 73% more," Wallace said. "We still have a ways to go. We still have a lot of things in the fold. Hopefully, we can get to it." Wallace said another reason for upcoming deep passes is that RB Adrian Peterson has been playing well, which will hopefully open up the field more for Wallace and the Vikings wide receivers.
Fantasy Tip: Wallace ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) is off to an extremely slow start this year, and a breakout shouldn't be expected in Week 4 against one of the better pass defenses in the Denver Broncos. It's best to wait at least one more week before starting Wallace, or at least expecting a big game out of him.

Fantasy Tip: Wallace ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) relies on making big plays to produce points, and he is a risky option at FantasyScore against such a tough secondary.

Minnesota Vikings DE Justin Trattou (foot), SS Andrew Sendejo (knee) and CB Jabari Price (shoulder) have been ruled out for the Week 4 game against the Denver Broncos. WR Jarius Wright (hand) and LB Audie Cole (ankle) are listed as questionable, while CB Xavier Rhodes (concussion, neck) are listed as probable. Trattou, Sendejo and Price did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 2. Wright was limited during practice, while Cole and Rhodes fully participated in practice.

Fantasy Tip: Cordarrelle Patterson ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) and Adam Thielen ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) likely will see more playing time with Johnson ruled out. Neither player is a great option for fantasy owners. Mike Wallace ($4,400, 8.8% of cap) and Kyle Rudolph ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) likely will receive a boost in value with Johnson out and could be solid starting option for owners.

Fantasy Tip: It's looking pretty bleak for Johnson this week after not practicing for two straight days. If he doesn't play, Jarius Wright ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) and Cordarrelle Patterson ($2,000, 4.0%) would ideally see more playing time, but they're risky options.

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson has been much better carrying the ball in I-formation this year, as he's averaging 5.86 yards per carry with QB Teddy Bridgewater under center as opposed to 2.2 yards per tote with the quarterback in shotgun or pistol, according to ESPN Stats and Information. Peterson said he hasn't made any requests to offensive coordinator Norv Turner after all 20 of his carries in Week 3 came with Bridgewater under center. Peterson has averaged 2.41 yards per carry after contact in the last two weeks.
Fantasy Tip: The Vikes travel to face the top-rated run defense of the Denver Broncos this weekend, so you may want to temper your expectations for Peterson ($8,200, 16.4% of cap) in Week 4. At a high FantasyScore price, looking to fade AD is a smart decision.

Minnesota Vikings DE Justin Trattou (foot), WR Jarius Wright (hand) and SS Andrew Sendejo (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 30. LB Audie Cole (ankle) was limited during practice, while CB Xavier Rhodes (concussion, neck) fully participated in practice.

Fantasy Tip: Johnson's ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) availability for the Week 4 game against the Denver Broncos probably will come down to his pain tolerance. Owners should consider other options to use in their lineup because he could be limited even if he is active for the game.

Fantasy Tip: Owners should monitor the situation to see if Johnson ($3,800, 7.6% of cap) has a chance to play in the game. Owners may want to use another option even if he is active because he has not posted great numbers this season.

Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater has a tough Week 4 matchup against the Denver Broncos. Denver has allowed just one passing touchdown and only 176.3 passing yards per game through the first three games of the season, which are both league-best marks.
Fantasy Tip: Given Bridgewater's ($6,600, 13.2% of cap) personal numbers (one touchdown, 505 passing yards) are even worse than what the Broncos have surrendered, it is likely best to fade Bridgewater in all fantasy formats this week. The sophomore is being deployed as more of a game manager with the offense leaning heavily on the running game, so at best, he should be viewed as nothing more than a contrarian flier for FantasyScore players in Week 4.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to monitor the situation during the week to see if Johnson will be able to play against Denver. He has only posted 46 receiving yards this season and is not a great option even if he is active for the game.
