Fantasy Tip: Folk should be considered the leading candidate for the job, but owners should keep an eye on the situation during the preseason. He likely will not be a great fantasy option this season if he wins the job.

New York Jets DE Leonard Williams said he is more comfortable entering his second season than he was as a rookie because he knows the defensive playbook and does not need to think as much on the field. New York Jets QB Christian Hackenberg struggled with his accuracy in offseason workouts, and appeared methodical with his footwork while also making poor decisions. Beat writer Rich Cimini notes the rookie showed his arm strength, though, especially on deep balls. He needs to develop consistency. Hackenberg is not expected to play in 2016.
Fantasy Tip: Hackenberg is a project, and only worth a look in deeper long-term keeper fantasy leagues at this point. With just Geno Smith and Bryce Petty in the way, at least until the team figures out if Ryan Fitzpatrick will be back, Hackenberg doesn't have to leapfrog many.

New York Jets CB Dexter McDougle did not do anything wrong during the offseason workouts, but he also did not jump out. The team has five experienced cornerbacks, so beat writer Rich Cimini believes McDougle needs a strong training camp and preseason to avoid being the latest draft pick to be cut.

New York Jets OT Jarvis Harrison saw time at right tackle during minicamp, but he struggled with pass protection. He needs improvement, as the fifth-round pick in 2015 is not considered a lock for the roster.

New York Jets LB Deion Barnes spent his rookie season on the practice squad, but he has made big improvement during the offseason. The coaches are excited about his progress, and he has a legitimate chance to make the 53-man roster.

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall will ideally play at 230 pounds throughout the 2016 season, if head coach Todd Bowles has his way. Marshall said he's played at an average of 234 pounds to 235 pounds the last five seasons.
Fantasy Tip: Playing a little lighter should give Marshall more speed. Either way, he's a low-end WR1 target in fantasy drafts even if Ryan Fitzpatrick is not re-signed.

New York Jets QB Bryce Petty must work on improving his ball security, pocket presence and reading coverages, according to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com. Petty may not make the final roster if he doesn't have a good training camp.
Fantasy Tip: Petty still isn't close to having fantasy relevance at this point in his career. Continue to avoid him in fantasy drafts.
