Rams | Kenny Britt wants to stay in St. Louis

Tue, 06 Jan 2015 15:21:50 -0800

St. Louis Rams WR Kenny Britt said he wants to return to St. Louis next year. Britt will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

Fantasy Tip: If Britt is re-signed, he'll likely remain the best fantasy option as far as Rams wide receivers are concerned. If he can stay healthy and play to his potential, he has low-end WR2 upside.

Rams | Brian Schottenheimer safe

Wed, 31 Dec 2014 05:52:44 -0800

St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said he doesn't expect to make changes on the coaching staff and was extremely supportive of offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer. "First off, I'm not anticipating any changes on the coaching staff," Fisher said when asked about Schottenheimer's status by the Post-Dispatch. "I think Brian is an outstanding play-caller. Outstanding play-caller. He's very organized. He's an excellent teacher. So you can't put the record on his shoulders. That'd be very, very unfair."

Rams | Rams want Sam Bradford back

Tue, 30 Dec 2014 15:42:27 -0800

St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford (knee) is wanted back by the team to compete for the starting quarterback position next season. However, head coach Jeff Fisher made it clear that nothing will be guaranteed for Bradford. Bradford continues to rehab from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, and he heads into an uncertain offseason. Fisher said the team plans to bring Bradford back at a reduced rate next year. He currently is scheduled to cost $16.58 million against the salary cap. Bradford plans to remain in St. Louis in the offseason to continue his rehab, and he said his knee feels better this time than the last time he had the same ailment.

Fantasy Tip: Bradford will enter 2015 without a guaranteed starting job, which should keep him off the radar of all fantasy football players.

Rams | QB competition to come in St. Louis

Tue, 30 Dec 2014 13:20:21 -0800

St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford won't be guaranteed the starting quarterback position next season as head coach Jeff Fisher made it clear Tuesday, Dec. 30, that there will be a quarterback competition in training camp.

Fantasy Tip: Again, if Bradford does retain the starting role, he'll be a low-end QB2 at best. He's not worth starting in seasonal leagues, especially considering his injury history.
