St. Louis Rams RB Todd Gurley (knee) isn't able to participate in group drills just yet as he recovers from a torn anterior cruciate ligament, but he's still making other preparations. "I'm just gaining mental [repetitions], basically just making sure I know what's going on." Gurley said he listens to play calls, goes through plays by himself and watches the team during walkthroughs in order to improve his knowledge of the playbook.
Fantasy Tip: Once Gurley's knee is fully recovered and he ideally returns to old form, he should be in prime condition to be the league's top rookie running back this year. He has RB2 potential if he can stay on the field.

Fantasy Tip: Mannion waited a while, but lands in a positive situation. Nick Foles is the undisputed starter, but Mannion will learn and has a chance to be the franchise quarterback for years to come. Initially, there is no fantasy appeal in standard formats, but those in dynasty leagues will have high interest in the former Beaver. Interestingly Foles was picked No. 88 overall in 2012 by Philadelphia.

Fantasy Tip: Gurley likely will be limited early on but it appears he could be ready for the start of the regular season. Owners should monitor his rehab during the offseason to see if he suffers any setbacks. Owners could consider taking Gurley in the middle rounds of fantasy drafts next season.

Fantasy Tip: The Rams selected Todd Gurley in the first round, which makes Stacy's role with the team uncertain. Stacy would have more fantasy value if he is released or traded since he likely would have a bigger role with his new team. He probably would be a handcuff to Gurley in drafts if he remains with the Rams.

St. Louis Rams RB Todd Gurley (knee) will not be rushed into action in the 2015 season, according to head coach Jeff Fisher. "We're not gonna rush it," Fisher said. "We may well be a little on the conservative side. But this is the running back of our future. It makes no sense to subject him to or put him in a bad situation sooner than we have to."
Fantasy Tip: Earlier reports speculated that Gurley would be out the first month of the season, maybe the first half of the year. You'll likely have to spend a high enough draft pick to grab him as an RB3, which makes nailing your first two backs even more critical. Gurley is a game changer, the question is whether it's this season or next.

Fantasy Tip: Stacy had a solid showing out of nowhere in 2013 and disappeared in '14. He's an RB5 flyer if he lands with another team.

Fantasy Tip: Gurley was a beast in college and has the size to be successful in the NFL. The Rams have gotten away from pounding the rock since the healthy days of Steven Jackson, and Gurley can help them get back to that. He'll have to battle Tre Mason and Zac Stacy for touches, but he has the pedigree to take the job in his rookie season. Gurley will be a popular selection in the tail end of the middle rounds in fantasy drafts this fall.

St. Louis Rams WR Brian Quick (shoulder) is progressing well after shoulder surgery, and head coach Jeff Fisher said Tuesday, April 28, that the receiver could possible participate in organized team activities (OTAs) with some protection.
Fantasy Tip: Quick has big-play ability, but it's uncertain exactly what his fantasy value will be until he is able to prove his health in training camp and the preseason. For now Kenny Britt is the top target in the passing game, but Quick could rapidly emerge as the top option sooner rather than later if healthy.
